According to Rokas, a solution is expected to be reached soon that will open Macedonia’s door to the European Union.

“I sincerely hope that matters will move forward. I believe that a great deal of work is already being done behind the scenes, even though this is not visible, in order to bring the process to a conclusion. I hope that a solution will soon be found that will pave the way for the start of negotiations with the European Union,” Rokas stated.

Meanwhile, experts have been presenting to the public these days a proposal for so-called internal guarantees, or the adoption of a law on identity protection, which would serve as a legal shield against any pressure.

In a six-point analysis, EU expert Dragan Tilev suggested concrete steps for the public, namely a so-called legal argumentation. According to him, it is based on the European values of Article 2 of the EU Treaty, the protection of national identity, the principle of sincere cooperation, and the membership conditions set out in Article 49 of the EU Treaty./Telegrafi/

Sipas Rokas, pritet që së afërmi të arrihet një zgjidhje që do t’i hapë Maqedonisë derën për në Bashkimin Evropian.

“Shpresoj sinqerisht që çështjet të lëvizin përpara. Mendoj se tashmë po punohet shumë prapa skenave, edhe pse kjo nuk është e dukshme, me qëllim që procesi të përmbyllet. Shpresoj që së shpejti të gjendet një zgjidhje, e cila do të hapë rrugën për nisjen e negociatave me Bashkimin Evropian”, deklaroi Rokas.

Ndërkohë, ekspertët po paraqesin këto ditë para publikut propozimin për të ashtuquajturat garanci të brendshme, ose për miratimin e një ligji për mbrojtjen e identitetit, që do të shërbente si mburojë juridike ndaj çdo presioni.

Përfaqësuesi i Bashkimit Evropian në vend, Michalis Rokas, u shpreh optimist se ditën e sotme forcat politike do të gjejnë gjuhën e përbashkët për ndryshimet në Kodin Zgjedhor, një angazhim ky që buron nga Agjenda e Reformave. Ai theksoi se kjo e premte shënon afatin përfundimtar për arritjen e një marrëveshjeje dhe se takimet e përditshme mes partive e bëjnë të besueshëm një kompromis.

Duke iu referuar rëndësisë së këtij hapi, Rokas solli në vëmendje edhe aspektin financiar, duke përmendur se bëhet fjalë për një shumë prej rreth 4.2 milionë eurosh që do të vihen në shërbim të qytetarëve të Maqedonisë së Veriut. Deklaratat ai i bëri pas një ceremonie ku u prezantuan mjetet e reja për Inspektoratin Shtetëror të Transportit, të siguruara falë një granti të BE-së.

I pyetur më pas për sinjalin që vjen nga Brukseli në një kohë kur katër vende aspirante po përparojnë me hapjen dhe mbylljen e kapitujve negociues, ambasadori e cilësoi procesin e zgjerimit si një investim të drejtpërdrejtë në arkitekturën e sigurisë, mbrojtjes, mirëqenies dhe aftësisë konkurruese të Unionit. During the promotion of new military equipment at the Ilinden barracks, Rokas stated that ODIHR and the EC have given a positive assessment, while, according to him, what remains to be resolved are the modalities. He said he understands that disagreements exist precisely over these modalities, but added that he feels there is goodwill to overcome them.

Rokas stressed that the Parliamentary Commission on Elections is already working and expressed hope that the sides will be able to sit down together and reach consensus on this sensitive topic, which is linked to such an important issue. Ambasadori i BE-së, Michalis Rokas, u shpreh se për ndryshimet e bllokuara në Kodin Zgjedhor vazhdojnë ende diskutimet dhe se për këtë proces është i domosdoshëm konsensusi mes palëve. Ai vlerësoi se vetë kodi, në thelb, është i mirë.

Gjatë promovimit të pajisjeve të reja ushtarake në kazermat Ilinden, Rokas deklaroi se ODIHR dhe KE kanë dhënë vlerësim pozitiv, ndërsa sipas tij ajo që mbetet për t’u zgjidhur janë modalitetet. Ndërkohë, amendamentet në Kodin Zgjedhor kanë mbetur pezull. Pikë e debatueshme mbetet votimi elektronik nga diaspora. Qeveria i kërkoi opozitës të pajtohet për një debat konstruktiv, në vend të pengimit parlamentar, duke theksuar se Kodi Zgjedhor bën pjesë në detyrimet reformuese të Maqedonisë. Nga ana tjetër, LSDM akuzoi për një përpjekje për vjedhje të votave zgjedhore.
