Maliq Municipal Council has voted against a proposal to merge the municipality with Korçë. A total of 22 council members took part in the vote: 21 opposed the proposal, while one voted in favor.

The issue was discussed at the council’s regular meeting, where the official position of Maliq Municipality on the review of the country’s administrative and territorial division was scheduled to be approved.

The position is expected to be submitted to the Parliament of the Republic of Albania as part of this process.
