LVV MP Mefail Bajqinovci has commented on Serb List’s decision to stop using the phrase “on behalf of the Serbian people” during its statements in the Assembly.

According to him, the move represents a retreat from “unconstitutional language.” Bajqinovci stressed that representatives of Serb List should understand that they are part of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo.

“Serb List has abandoned unconstitutional language.

You can see how well things work when it is disciplined and clearly told that it is in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, not Serbia’s,” Bajqinovci wrote.

Deputeti i LVV-së, Mefail Bajqinovci, ka komentuar vendimin e Listës Serbe për të mos e përdorur më shprehjen “në emër të popullit serb” gjatë deklarimit të saj në Kuvend.

Sipas tij, ky veprim përbën një tërheqje nga “gjuha antikushtetuese”. Bajqinovci ka theksuar se përfaqësuesit e Listës Serbe duhet ta kuptojnë se janë pjesë e Kuvendit të Republikës së Kosovës.

Vetëvendosje MP Mefail Bajqinovci said that MPs from his party did not vote for the LDK and PDK candidates for the positions of deputy speakers of Parliament. According to him, Vetëvendosje’s aim is to establish all the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, not to send the country to elections.

Bajqinovci said that the opposition’s positions, including the statement by LDK MP Avdullah Hoti that Parliament should be constituted and Kosovo should then go to elections, show that there is a demand to activate the 60-day deadline leading to new elections.

He stressed that Vetëvendosje does not want the process to end with elections, but aims to fully operationalize the institutions. Bajqinovci also mentioned candidate Kujtim Shala, who, after reaching an agreement with Vetëvendosje, appeared publicly with his group of six MPs and, according to him, obstructed the election of the president while openly calling for the country to go to elections.

Speaking about the failure to vote for Vlora Çitaku as a deputy speaker from the PDK, Bajqinovci linked the issue to developments the previous day. He said that the PDK had not voted for Albulena Haxhiu, was not supporting the election of the president or the speaker of Parliament, while at the same time asking Vetëvendosje MPs to vote for the deputy speakers.

According to Bajqinovci, this approach is the opposite of the goal of establishing the institutions, since the same MPs who are seeking votes for the deputy speakers also want Kosovo to go to elections.

The Vetëvendosje MP also said that the six LDK MPs who are opposing Bekim Sejdiu’s candidacy for president should return and vote for him so that the country does not end up in elections.

Deputeti i Lëvizjes Vetëvendosje, Mefail Bajqinovci, deklaroi se deputetët e kësaj partie nuk votuan kandidatët e LDK-së dhe PDK-së për postet e nënkryetarëve të Kuvendit. Sipas tij, synimi i LVV-së është krijimi i të gjitha institucioneve të Republikës së Kosovës dhe jo dërgimi i vendit në zgjedhje.

Bajqinovci tha se qëndrimet e opozitës, përfshirë deklaratën e deputetit të LDK-së, Avdullah Hoti, se Kuvendi duhet të konstituohet dhe më pas Kosova të shkojë në zgjedhje, dëshmojnë se kërkohet aktivizimi i afatit 60-ditor që çon drejt zgjedhjeve të reja.

Ai theksoi se Lëvizja Vetëvendosje nuk dëshiron që procesi të përfundojë me zgjedhje, por synon funksionalizimin e plotë të institucioneve. Bajqinovci përmendi edhe kandidatin Kujtim Shala, i cili pas marrëveshjes me LVV-në është shfaqur publikisht me grupin e tij prej gjashtë deputetësh dhe, sipas tij, ka penguar zgjedhjen e presidentit, duke kërkuar hapur që vendi të shkojë në zgjedhje.

Duke folur për mosvotimin e Vlora Çitakut si nënkryetare nga radhët e PDK-së, Bajqinovci e lidhi këtë çështje me zhvillimet e një dite më parë. Ai tha se PDK-ja nuk e kishte votuar Albulena Haxhiun, nuk po e mbështet zgjedhjen e presidentit dhe as kryetarit të Kuvendit, ndërsa njëkohësisht po kërkon nga deputetët e LVV-së votën për nënkryetarët.

Sipas Bajqinovcit, kjo qasje është e kundërta e synimit për krijimin e institucioneve, pasi të njëjtët deputetë që kërkojnë votimin e nënkryetarëve duan edhe që Kosova të shkojë në zgjedhje.

Deputeti i LVV-së u shpreh gjithashtu se gjashtë deputetët e LDK-së, të cilët po e kundërshtojnë kandidaturën e Bekim Sejdiut për president, duhet të rikthehen dhe ta votojnë atë, në mënyrë që vendi të mos përfundojë në zgjedhje.

Vetëvendosje Movement MP Mefail Bajqinovci reacted after the six LDK MPs opposed the agreement on electing the president.

Bajqinovci asked how six MPs can push the country toward new elections, while demanding they explain why they did not oppose the agreement from the start.

According to him, the opposition was made public precisely when the agreement had been reached and the possibility to end the blockade had opened.

In his post, he raised the question whether the goal is to find a solution or to go to elections at all costs.

Bajqinovci stressed that if the agreement fails because of the six MPs, the responsibility will be clear.

Deputeti i Lëvizjes Vetëvendosje, Mefail Bajqinovci, ka reaguar pas qëndrimit kundër të gjashtë deputetëve të LDK-së ndaj marrëveshjes për zgjedhjen e presidentit.

Bajqinovci ka pyetur se si gjashtë deputetë mund ta çojnë vendin drejt zgjedhjeve të reja, ndërsa u ka kërkuar të shpjegojnë arsyen pse nuk e kundërshtuan marrëveshjen që në fillim.

Sipas tij, kundërshtimi u bë publik pikërisht në kohën kur ishte arritur marrëveshja dhe ishte hapur mundësia për t’i dhënë fund bllokadës.

Në postimin e tij, ai ka ngritur pyetjen nëse synimi është gjetja e një zgjidhjeje apo shkuarja në zgjedhje me çdo kusht.

Bajqinovci ka theksuar se, nëse marrëveshja dështon për shkak të gjashtë deputetëve, përgjegjësia do të jetë e qartë.

Vetëvendosje MP Mefail Bajqinovci has reacted following developments at today’s session of the Kosovo Assembly.

In a Facebook post, Bajqinovci said the opposition intends to remain in the chamber during the vote for Speaker of the Assembly, but then leave when it is time to elect the President.

Mefail Bajqinovci, who recently won a parliamentary seat from the Vetëvendosje Movement, has asked the Democratic Party of Kosovo and the Democratic League of Kosovo to clarify their position regarding the return of judges from the Serb community who resigned.

According to him, Kosovo’s citizens have the right to know transparently whether these two political forces support or oppose their return to the country’s judicial system. He stressed that in such cases, silence is not an acceptable stance.

In a full social media post, Bajqinovci emphasized the necessity of a clear response from PDK and LDK on this issue, which he linked to orders from Belgrade for the judges’ resignations.

“Citizens deserve an unequivocal answer: are you in favor of their return to the institutions of our Republic, or are you against?” he wrote, adding that on topics that affect sovereignty and the functioning of state institutions, there is no room for evasiveness.

He closed his message by insisting that the time has come for both parties to clearly articulate their position.

Mefail Bajqinovci, i cili së fundmi fitoi mandatin e deputetit nga radhët e Lëvizjes Vetëvendosje, ka kërkuar nga Partia Demokratike e Kosovës dhe Lidhja Demokratike e Kosovës që të zbardhin pozicionin e tyre lidhur me rikthimin e gjyqtarëve të komunitetit serb që dhanë dorëheqje.

Sipas tij, qytetarët e Kosovës kanë të drejtë të dinë në mënyrë transparente nëse këto dy forca politike e përkrahin apo e kundërshtojnë rifutjen e tyre në sistemin gjyqësor të vendit. Ai nënvizoi se në kësi rastesh, heshtja nuk përbën një qëndrim të pranueshëm.

Në një postim të plotë në rrjetet sociale, Bajqinovci theksoi domosdoshmërinë e një përgjigjeje të prerë nga PDK dhe LDK për këtë çështje, të cilën ai e lidhi me urdhërat e ardhur nga Beogradi për dorëheqjet e gjyqtarëve.

Vetëvendosje Movement MP Mefail Bajqinovci considers the European Union’s reaction regarding the removal of Serbian prosecutors from Kosovo’s justice system to be unfounded.

He stressed that the multiethnic character of the state does not give anyone the right to leave institutions following political calls from Belgrade and then seek to re-enter office. Bajqinovci emphasized that legislation is the same for every citizen, regardless of ethnicity.

According to him, the actions of Kosovo’s institutions are based on the Constitution and the country’s legal framework, and he appealed to the EU to show consideration for decisions that stem from respect for the constitutional and legal order of the Republic of Kosovo.

Bajqinovci wrote that the EU’s stance on this issue makes no sense. He acknowledged that Kosovo is a multiethnic society, something protected by the Constitution and laws applied every day. However, he added that multiethnicity does not justify abandoning duty under political pressure from Belgrade and subsequent claims for return, because norms are clear and the rule of law applies equally to everyone.

He asserted that Kosovo’s institutions are guided exclusively by the Constitution and laws of the Republic, not by political directives coming from outside. If the EU truly supports the rule of law, then it must also accept decisions made in harmony with Kosovo’s constitutional and legal framework, the MP concluded.
