Në një postim në Twitter, Michel shton se BE-së i duhet një Francë e përkushtuar ndaj projektit mes një periudhe të trazuar në kontinent.

“Urimet më të ngrohtai dashur Macron. Në këtë periudhë të trazuar, ne kemi nevojë për një Evropë solide dhe një Francë plotësisht të përkushtuar ndaj një Bashkimi Evropian më sovran dhe më strategjik”, shkruan Michel.

Kryeministri i Mbretërisë së Bashkuar Boris Johnson tha se ai “mezi pret të vazhdojë të punojë së bashku për çështjet që kanë më shumë rëndësi për dy vendet tona dhe për botën”.

Urimit të tij i  bashkohet presidentja e Komisionit të BE-së, Ursula von der Leyen, e cila thotë se mezi pret të punojë edhe një herë me presidentin e rizgjedhur.

“I dashur Emmanuel, urimet e mia për rizgjedhjen tuaj si President i Republikës. Mezi pres të vazhdojmë bashkëpunimin tonë të madh. ne do Ne do ta çojmë Francën dhe Evropën përpara”, shkruan Von der Leyen.
