Lëvizja Vetëvendosje announced at today’s Assembly session the names of the MPs who will represent its parliamentary group on parliamentary committees.

The list of nominees was presented by MP Arbërie Nagavci, following a request from the Assembly Presidency for parliamentary groups to submit names for chairs, deputy chairs and members of the 16 committees.

The agreement reached by the Presidency stipulates that each of the 16 committees will have 11 members. The exception is the Committee on the Rights and Interests of Communities and Returns, which will have 12 members.

Eight of these committees will be chaired by Lëvizja Vetëvendosje.

Parliament approved the following VV nominations:

1. MP Enver Haliti was nominated as chair of the Committee on Budget. Its members also include Ilir Kërçeli, Valon Hoti, Elvira Ibrahimi-Hoti and Arbërie Nagavci.

2. For the Committee on the Rights and Interests of Communities and Returns, Vetëvendosje nominated Fahrush Rexhepi for the post of first deputy chair from its parliamentary group.

3. Vigan Qorrolli was nominated as chair of the Committee on Legislation, Mandates, Immunities, the Assembly’s Rules of Procedure and Oversight of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption. Its members will be Adnan Rrustemi, Arjeta Rexhepi, Blerim Gashi and Artan Abrashi.

4. Liza Gashi was nominated as first deputy chair of the Committee on European Integration. The committee also includes Krenare Qerkini, Adelina Grainca, Fjolla Ujkani and Blerim Gashi.

5. The Committee on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora will be chaired by MP Arbëreshë Kryeziu-Hyseni. Its members are Shqipe Mehmeti-Selimi, Artan Abrashi, Nezir Kraki and Vigan Qorrolli.

6. Arjeta Fejza was nominated as first deputy chair of the Committee on Education and Science. Its members are Arjeta Rexhepi, Fahrush Rexhepi, Taulant Kelmendi and Arbërie Nagavci.

7. Taulant Kelmendi was nominated for the post of first deputy chair of the Committee on Economy, Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation. Its members are Ilir Kërçeli, Ejup Ahmeti, Valon Ramadani and Liza Gashi.

8. Arsim Ademi was nominated as chair of the Committee on Environment, Spatial Planning, Food, Agriculture, Forestry, Rural Development, Infrastructure and Transport. The committee will also include Alban Bajrami, Filiz Mustafa, Adelina Grainca and Drita Pajaziti.

9. Sulejman Meholli was nominated as first deputy chair of the Committee on Health. The nominated members are Naim Bardiqi, Arsim Ademi, Fitim Haziri and Egzon Azemi.

10. For the Committee on Public Administration, Digitalization, Local Government, Media and Regional Development, VV nominated Alban Bajrami as deputy chair. Its members are Artan Konushevci, Egzon Azemi, Arbëreshë Kryeziu-Hyseni and Fitim Haziri.

11. Mefail Bajqinovci was nominated as chair of the Committee on Security and Defense Affairs. Its members will include Shqipe Mehmeti-Selimi, Arbër Rexhaj, Ilir Qeriqi and Sali Zyba.

12. The Committee on Human Rights, Gender Equality and Petitions will be chaired by MP Fatmire Mulhaxha-Kollçaku. The nominated members are Valon Hoti, Adelina Tërshana, Arbër Rexhaj and Arjeta Fejza.

13. Jeton Raka was nominated for the post of first deputy chair of the Committee on Oversight of Public Finances. Its members are Fatos Geci, Valon Ramadani, Valon Peci and Drita Pajaziti.

14. Sali Zyba was nominated as first deputy chair of the Committee on Oversight of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency. Its members are Luan Aliu, Agim Bahtiri, Mimoza Shala and Rufki Suma.

15. Nezir Kraki was nominated as chair of the Committee on Culture, Tourism, Sport and Youth. The committee also includes Edona Lalloshi, Bylbyl Sokoli, Adriana Matoshi and Armend Baloku.

16. Arton Konushevci was nominated as chair of the Committee on Social Welfare, Labor, Family, the Values of the Liberation War, Victims of Wartime Sexual Violence and Missing Persons. Its members will be Adnan Rrustemi, Osman Musliu, Fatmire Mulhaxha-Kollçaku and Sulejman Meholli.
