The wildfire situation in Lurë continues to be monitored, while the fires are nearing containment. Around 150 personnel have been deployed on the ground and are working to extinguish and fully contain the blazes.

The operation involves firefighters, Dibër Municipality employees, Civil Emergencies personnel, Protected Areas staff, as well as army and State Police forces.

Dibër Mayor Rahim Spahiu said the wildfire situation in Lurë is moving toward containment, while work on the ground will continue at full strength until the fire is completely extinguished and contained.

One person was reportedly affected by smoke inhalation and received treatment in hospital.

Që në orët e para të mëngjesit, në terren janë dislokuar mbi 170 forca. Për shuarjen e vatrave po punojnë punonjës të Bashkisë Dibër dhe të zonave të mbrojtura, efektivë të ushtrisë, si dhe forca policore.

Operacionit i janë bashkuar gjithashtu dy avionë të mbërritur në Lurë, të cilët po ndërhyjnë nga ajri për të penguar zgjerimin e zjarrit.

Prania e disa vatrave në zona të ndryshme ka ngritur dyshime se zjarret mund të jenë ndezur qëllimisht. Për shkak të rëndimit të situatës, që prej ditës së djeshme në Lurë është vendosur edhe një ambulancë e shoqëruar nga personel mjekësor.

Një person raportohet se është dëmtuar nga asfiksia e shkaktuar prej tymit dhe është trajtuar në spital.

Prej tre ditësh, në zonë gjendet edhe kryetari i Bashkisë Dibër, Rahim Spahiu, i cili po monitoron nga afër zhvillimet dhe ndërhyrjen kundër zjarreve.

Forcat e angazhuara po vijojnë përpjekjet për të penguar flakët që t’u afrohen banesave, teksa situata vazhdon të konsiderohet kritike.

Over the past two days, four wildfires in Has and Tropojë have been brought under control. The situation was contained following the efforts of firefighters, the relevant authorities and residents of the affected areas.

The Civil Emergencies Directorate announced that, in Has, the flames were detected in forests and pastures near the village of Perollaj, part of the Golaj Administrative Unit, as well as in the village of Cahan in the Krumë Administrative Unit.

In Tropojë, the fires were recorded in the village of Dushaj, located in the Fierzë Administrative Unit, as well as in Sopot, in the Tropojë e Vjetër Administrative Unit.

Although the rugged mountainous terrain made the operation more difficult, the teams involved managed to contain the fires and prevent the flames from advancing further.

The fires burned shrubs and waste, but no damage to forested areas or vegetation was reported.

The emergency services’ immediate response prevented the flames from spreading and endangering other areas.

Due to the high temperatures and increased fire risk, the municipalities of Has and Tropojë have urged residents to exercise maximum caution and avoid any action that could cause a fire.

Meanwhile, firefighters from Kukës Municipality have joined the other teams involved in tackling and containing the fire in Lurë. Fire Service personnel have transported water to the site, supporting the operation against the flames in this difficult terrain.

Additional equipment and resources have also been deployed to strengthen the response in Lurë, with the aim of containing the fire and preventing it from spreading to other areas.

Drejtoria e Emergjencave Civile, bëri të ditur se në Has flakët u konstatuan në pyje dhe kullota pranë fshatit Perollaj, pjesë e Njësisë Administrative Golaj, si edhe në fshatin Cahan të Njësisë Administrative Krumë.

Në Tropojë, vatrat u regjistruan në fshatin Dushaj, që ndodhet në Njësinë Administrative Fierzë, si dhe në Sopot, në Njësinë Administrative Tropojë e Vjetër.

Megjithëse terreni i thyer malor e vështirësoi operacionin, ekipet e angazhuara mundën t’i izolonin vatrat dhe të pengonin avancimin e mëtejshëm të flakëve.

Zjarret dogjën shkurre dhe mbeturina, por nuk u raportuan dëme në sipërfaqet pyjore apo në bimësi.

Reagimi i menjëhershëm i strukturave të emergjencës bëri të mundur që flakët të mos zgjeroheshin dhe të mos vendosnin në rrezik zona të tjera.

Për shkak të temperaturave të larta dhe shtimit të rrezikut nga zjarret, Bashkitë Has dhe Tropojë u kanë kërkuar qytetarëve të tregojnë kujdes maksimal, duke shmangur çdo veprim që mund të shkaktojë zjarr.

Ndërkaq, zjarrfikësit e Bashkisë Kukës janë bashkuar me ekipet e tjera të përfshira në përballimin dhe izolimin e zjarrit në Lurë. Punonjësit e Shërbimit Zjarrfikës kanë dërguar ujë në terren, duke mbështetur operacionin kundër flakëve në këtë zonë me terren të vështirë.

Për fuqizimin e ndërhyrjes në Lurë janë vënë në dispozicion edhe mjete e kapacitete të tjera, me synimin për të frenuar zjarrin dhe për të parandaluar përhapjen e tij në sipërfaqe të tjera.
