Arben Gashi, an MP-elect from the Democratic League of Kosovo, said that the party’s parliamentary group meeting had been called by leader Lumir Abdixhiku to report on and discuss the meeting held a day earlier with Vetëvendosje Movement leader Albin Kurti.

According to him, at this stage, the LDK is not dealing with the distribution of government posts. Gashi stressed that the main focus should be on the program, ideas and how Kosovo will be governed.

He said there were no red lines regarding cooperation with other political parties, but that every step would be determined by the content of the governing program.

“We were called to be briefed on what they discussed yesterday. During the last two elections, I also said that there are no red lines for any other political party. However, we need to examine the program, the ideas, Kosovo’s future, how the country will be governed and Kosovo’s relationship with its international partners. These are the main issues. It does not matter which individual will hold a position or who gets what. What matters is determining whether we can draft a program for governing together and, on that basis, select the people who can take it forward,” Gashi said.

Asked whether he would accept a post in a government led by VV, Gashi said the time had not yet come to discuss positions.

In response to a KosovaPress question about a statement by his fellow party member Hykmete Bajrami that the LDK was seeking the presidency, he said: “I send my regards to Mrs. Bajrami and wish her success.”

Regarding a possible LDK candidate for president, Gashi said: “There are plenty.”

The MP-elect also said that, as of the moment he entered the meeting, he had not received any official invitation to the Assembly’s constitutive session, which is scheduled for Thursday at 10:00.

“There is still no invitation. I believe the session is tomorrow, but we have not received any official notification from the Assembly. Perhaps there is another plan for distributing the invitations, but I do not know. There is no official invitation,” he said.

Deputeti i zgjedhur i Lidhjes Demokratike të Kosovës, Arben Gashi, bëri të ditur se mbledhja e Grupit Parlamentar të kësaj partie është thirrur nga kryetari Lumir Abdixhiku për të raportuar dhe diskutuar mbi takimin e zhvilluar një ditë më parë me kreun e Lëvizjes Vetëvendosje, Albin Kurti.

Sipas tij, në këtë fazë LDK-ja nuk po merret me ndarjen e pozitave qeveritare. Gashi theksoi se vëmendja kryesore duhet të përqendrohet te programi, idetë dhe mënyra se si do të qeveriset Kosova.

Ai deklaroi se nuk ekzistojnë vija të kuqe për bashkëpunim me subjekte të tjera politike, por çdo hap do të përcaktohet nga përmbajtja e programit qeverisës.

“Na kanë thirrur për të na treguar se çfarë kanë diskutuar dje. Edhe në dy palë zgjedhjet e kaluara kam thënë se nuk ka vija të kuqe për asnjë subjekt tjetër. Megjithatë, duhet të shqyrtojmë programin, idetë, të ardhmen e Kosovës, mënyrën e qeverisjes së vendit dhe raportin e Kosovës me partnerët ndërkombëtarë. Këto janë çështjet kryesore. Nuk ka rëndësi se cili individ do të ketë një funksion apo se kush çfarë po merr. E rëndësishme është të shohim nëse mund të hartojmë një program për bashkëqeverisje dhe, mbi bazën e tij, të përcaktojmë njerëzit që mund ta çojnë atë përpara”, tha Gashi.

I pyetur nëse do të pranonte ndonjë post në një qeveri të udhëhequr nga VV-ja, Gashi u shpreh se ende nuk ka ardhur koha për të diskutuar rreth pozitave.

Pas pyetjes së KosovaPress për deklaratën e bashkëpartiakes së tij, Hykmete Bajrami, se LDK-ja po kërkon postin e presidentit, ai u përgjigj: “Përshëndes zonjën Bajrami dhe i uroj sukses”.

Për sa i përket një kandidati të mundshëm të LDK-së për president, Gashi tha: “Ka boll”.

Deputeti i zgjedhur njoftoi gjithashtu se, deri në momentin kur hyri në mbledhje, nuk kishte marrë asnjë ftesë zyrtare për seancën konstitutive të Kuvendit, e cila mbahet të enjten në orën 10.

“Ende nuk ka ftesë. Besoj se seanca është nesër, por nga Kuvendi nuk kemi marrë njoftim zyrtar. Ndoshta ekziston ndonjë plan tjetër për shpërndarjen e ftesave, por unë nuk e di. Ftesë zyrtare nuk ka”, deklaroi ai.
