Footage has been released showing the condition inside the laundry that was engulfed by fire on the fifth floor of an apartment building in central Saranda.

The premises were severely damaged, with considerable material losses.

The effects of the blaze are clearly visible throughout the premises, while equipment, furnishings and other parts of the laundry were charred.

The swift response of the fire service made it possible to extinguish the blaze and prevented it from spreading to other parts of the building.

Preliminary suspicions suggest that an electrical fault may have caused the fire. The investigative team is continuing its inquiries to determine the exact origin of the blaze and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
