The Basic Court in Pristina has handed down guilty verdicts against four people involved in the “Toka 2” case, sentencing them to a total of 32 years in prison for criminal offenses related to organized crime, abuse of official duty and money laundering.

The ruling, announced on Friday by the presiding judge, Vesel Ismaili, sets a sentence of 10 years in prison for Mehmet Prishtina, 8 years for Dukagjin Emërllahi, 8 years for Avni Maxhuni and 6 years for Nexharije Hoti.

The Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo welcomed the verdict, considering it an important step in efforts to combat organized crime.

In a statement issued after the ruling, the Special Prosecution said it welcomed the guilty verdict against the four defendants, KosovaPress reports.

“This decision represents an important development in the ongoing institutional efforts to combat organized crime,” the prosecution said in its response.

Nexharije Hoti, a former municipal judge in Pristina, was accused in the “Toka 2” case of unlawfully issuing court decisions and abusing her official duty. Mehmet Prishtina and Dukagjin Emërllahi were accused of assisting in the commission of these criminal offenses, while Avni Maxhuni, along with Emërllahi and Prishtina, also faced charges of money laundering.

After the surprise, opposition and outrage that every ALBANIAN may feel, these questions arise publicly and in an Albanian spirit:

Why is this actor not being given land in Turkey or in Kazakhstan, when his country has an area around 25 times larger and Kazakhstan 95 times larger than small Albania? Or is it perhaps that Edi Rama treats and uses Albania’s land as the property of his grandparents, his mother and father, so that he can give it away to anyone who helps him prolong his survival in power for as long as possible, without any sensitivity toward Albania, Albanians, the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Albanian state… and without caring at all that this state has a CONSTITUTION and justice institutions?! Are there prosecutors and courts in Albania who, with the CONSTITUTION in their hands, can remind Prime Minister Edi Rama that he is an appointed ruler or one elected by a majority of stolen votes, cards or “puppets,” that he can be dismissed and is not an emperor or king?!

Otherwise, if they continue to remain silent and play the role of spectators, even unwillingly, they themselves give reason for people to think and suspect that they will enter and remain in history, with full personal and team will, as his accomplices, co-responsible parties or partners, even without written agreements, with him!?
