The special meeting at Drenovë Prison in Korçë between life-sentenced inmate Laert Haxhiu and Kosovar model Ziza Pajaziti attracted media attention last year. Following the meeting, criminal investigations were launched against the former director of Drenovë Prison, Fatjon Fasho, and the former head of police at the prison, Sokol Kaçoli, for “Abuse of Office”.

However, an investigation conducted by the Korçë Prosecutor’s Office has revealed that the inmate and the model have a cohabitation agreement with each other. According to journalist Elton Qyno, the agreement was signed on October 6, 2025, before public notary Bledar Zake in Korçë, three months after the initial meeting at Drenovë Prison.

The journalist reports that Haxhiu signed the agreement at Drenovë Prison, while Pajaziti signed it before the public notary. The Lushnjë Police Commissariat has also confirmed that Ziza Pajaziti and Laert Haxhiu lived together while the latter was wanted by the police.

It is learned that the lawyer submitted the agreement to the directorate of Drenovë Prison, after which the director of the correctional institution sent it to the Korçë Prosecutor’s Office.

Meanwhile, journalist Qyno has made public details from the agreement, which states that Laert Haxhiu and Ziza Pajazti entered into the cohabitation contract to regulate the consequences arising from their cohabitation.

The document also emphasizes that assets acquired during the period of cohabitation are considered the personal property of each cohabitant, and the other party has no rights in relation to those assets.

It is recalled that Lert Haxhiu was found guilty in connection with the incident recorded in Lushnjë in 2017, in which Zamir Latifi and Jurgen Hoxha were killed, while Maius Xhepexhiu and Bujar Turku were injured. Orgest Bilbili and Anterio Kaloshi were also sentenced to life imprisonment for the same incident.

They face charges of the criminal offenses of “Murder under qualifying circumstances of one or more persons”, “Commission of criminal offenses as part of a criminal group”, “Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition”, as well as “Disturbance of public peace”.

Ndërkohë gazetari Qyno ka bërë publike dhe detaje nga kontrata e marrëveshjes, ku theksohet se Laert Haxhiu dhe Ziza Pajazti, e kanë lidhur kontratët e bashkëjetesës për të rregulluar pasojat që rrjedhin nga bashkëjetesa e tyre.

Po ashtu në dokument nënvizohet se pasuritë e bëra gjatë kohës së bashkëjetesës, konsiderohen pasuri personale e secilit bashkëjetues dhe pala tjetër nuk gëzon të drejta në lidhje me këto pasuri.

Kujtojmë që Lert Haxhiu është shpallur fajtor për ngjarjen e regjistruar në Lushnje në vitin 2017, prej ku mbetën të vrarë Zamir Latifi dhe Jurgen Hoxha, kurse të plagosur Maius Xhepexhiu dhe Bujar Turku. Për të njëjtën ngjarje janë dënuar po me burgim të përjetshëm Orgest Bilbili dhe Anterio Kaloshi.

Witness: He had left. He had told me he was abroad. It had been about 20 days since he told me in prison that he would go abroad, to Italy. I had separated and was with the children and the wife, so he didn’t tell me much. We were three children: me, Fridman and Aleksandri. The guys had cut his ticket and in Elbasan they had separated. He was with Lul Spahia and Kristi Bixheri. These names my other brother told me. When Fridman was alive, he was with these. The younger brother left Fridman with Lul and Kristi in Elbasan and had left. Fridman was going to go to Greece.

Witness: That’s all I know. I don’t know anything else, because I was in prison.

Prosecutor: When did your brother tell you these things, did he tell you in prison or at your father-in-law’s house?

Witness: He told me at my father-in-law’s house.

Dëshmitari: Nuk e di. Qamili, babai i Laertit, më ka thënë nga afër se ata nuk kishin fare dorë, sepse i kemi tokat afër. Më foli në rrugë dhe më tha: “S’ka dorë djali im.” Unë iu përgjigja: “Nuk di gjë.”

The lawyer of the life-sentenced inmate, Laert Haxhiu, has reacted after media reports that his client was found with a cellphone during a surprise search at the Drenovë Penitentiary.

Through a statement, Haxhiu’s defense lawyer rejects the claims of prison authorities, calling the news inaccurate and guaranteeing that no prohibited item was found in his cell.

“As the legal defender of citizen Laert Haxhiu, I feel it is my professional duty to clarify that no illegal item was found on this citizen in his room,” the lawyer stated.

Sipas vendimit zyrtar të zbardhur këtë të martë, më 19 maj 2026, Kolegji Penal i Gjykatës së Lartë, i përbërë nga gjyqtarët Ilir Panda në cilësinë e relatorit, si dhe Sokol Binaj e Sandër Simoni, ka vendosur në dhomë këshillimi mospranimin e rekursit të paraqitur nga Haxhiu.

Në dokumentin zyrtar thuhet: “Mospranimin e rekursit të paraqitur nga i gjykuari Laert Haxhiu, kundër vendimit nr. 45 (87-2024-326), datë 13.11.2024, të Gjykatës së Posaçme të Apelit për Korrupsionin dhe Krimin e Organizuar.”

Me këtë vendim, Gjykata e Lartë konfirmon dënimin maksimal për Haxhiun lidhur me akuzat e rënda që rëndojnë ndaj tij, mes të cilave “vrasje me paramendim e mbetur në tentativë”, si dhe një sërë veprash të tjera penale në kuadër të grupit të strukturuar kriminal.

Laert Haxhiu është dënuar me burg përjetë si autor kryesor i ngjarjes së njohur si “Masakra e Lushnjës”, e ndodhur në vitin 2017, ku humbën jetën Zamir Latifi dhe Jurgen Hoxha. Objektiv i atentatit, sipas hetimeve, dyshohet se ishte Xhulio Shkurti, nipi i Aldo Bares.

SI NDODHI MASAKRA E LUSHNJES

Zamir Latifi dhe Jurgen Hoxha mbetën të vrarë në 11 tetor të vitit 2017, ndërsa dy persona të tjerë, Marjus Xhepexhiu, pronari i lokalit ku ndodheshin atë çast dy viktimat, si dhe një kalimtar i rastit, 66-vjeçari Bujar Turku, që po kalonte në atë moment me biçikletë, kanë mbetur të plagosur lehtë. Dy të rinjtë u ekzekutuan me breshëri automatiku në hyrje të lokalit.

Autori zbriti nga një automjet dhe në duar mbante një armë automatike, ndërsa në kokë kishte një maskë të zezë. Ai eci gati 20 metra, duke iu afruar dy të rinjve që qëndronin në kafene dhe menjëherë ka hapur zjarr me automatik.

Ai ka lëshuar dy breshëri kallashnikovi, ndërkohë që ka lënë të vdekur në vend Jurgen Hoxhën dhe shokun e tij, Zamir Latifi. Më pas, ai është larguar shumë shpejt në drejtim të daljes së Lushnjës, drejt zonës së ish-Fabrikës së Plastmasit. Zamir Latifit i ishte bërë atentat edhe një herë tjetër, një vit para ekzekutimit.

Ai ishte shok me Xhulio Shkurtin, nipin e Aldo Bares, ndërkohë që Xhulio Shkurti mori një plumb në këmbë, ndërsa u plagos edhe Sajmo Xhelili. Xhelili dhe Shkurti kanë edhe lidhje familjare me njëri-tjetrin. Dy vjet pas ngjarjes së rëndë, që u quajt edhe si “masakra e Lushnjës”, ndodhën edhe dy ekzekutime të tjera.

Enver Boriçi ishte viktima e radhës e atentateve mafioze, i cili u vra në dhjetor të 2019, ndërkohë u ekzekutua edhe Besnik Hida, ky i fundit daja i 23-vjeçarit Zamir Latifi. Nga Policia u dyshua se vrasja e tij mund të kishte lidhje me vrasjen e Latifit, për të cilin daja i tij kërkonte të bënte drejtësi dhe të zbardhej ngjarja.

Si i shpëtoi atentatit nipi i Aldo Bares

Nga hetimet e kryera ka rezultuar se masakra e datës 11 tetor 2017 ka pasur si objektiv Xhulio Shkurtin, nipi i Aldo Bares. Vrasja e mbetur në tentativë disa vite më parë ndaj Xhulio Shkurtit, konkludohet se është kryer për hakmarrje, referuar këtu dhe historikut të konflikteve midis familjeve të Xhulio Shkurtit dhe Laert Haxhiut. Kjo hakmarrje e ka zanafillën herët, pasi banda e Aldo Bares alias Alfred Shkurti i ka djegur shtëpinë xhaxhait të Laert Haxhiut, Shkëlqim Haxhiu.

Më pas në janar të vitit 2005, është vrarë djali i xhaxhait të Laertit, Klodian Haxhiu. Në vitin 2016, Laert Haxhiu tentoi të vriste Xhulio Shkurtin, vrasje të cilën nuk arriti ta finalizojë dhe tentoi përsëri në mënyrë të organizuar të finalizojë në vitin 2017, por përsëri pa sukses. Pikërisht, mosfinalizimi i vrasjes së Xhulio Shkurtit, ishte shtysa që Laert Haxhiu të tentonte përsëri për të eliminuar Shkurtin, por këtë radhë në mënyrë më të organizuar.
