Kristjan Sterjo, suspected of murdering 20-year-old Joan Zhuko in Korçë, has been detained by police forces near his home.

The arrest was carried out after several hours of searches in the city and surrounding areas, as efforts to find him had intensified significantly. Officers from the special RENEA forces also took part in the operation.

According to preliminary information, police had learned that Sterjo would return home to get money, which helped them locate and apprehend him.

Sterjo is suspected of shooting Joan Zhuko with a firearm following a conflict, causing his death.

Kristjan Sterjo is described as one of the troubled young men in the city of Korçë and is known for a carefree lifestyle.
