Leicestershire law enforcement confirmed that the victim is called Ervin Lita, also known as Ervin Axhami.

The case was reported to emergency services around 6:58 a.m. on Sunday morning, after East Midlands Ambulance Service personnel discovered the severely injured young man on Compton Road. Despite the swift intervention of medics to save his life, the 28-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

During investigative actions, authorities arrested two individuals, aged 36 and 27, suspected of involvement in the serious crime. They were later released under restrictive measures, as investigations to fully clarify the circumstances continue without interruption.

On 12.07.2026, at around 00:10, in the village of Bërxullë, Vorë, citizen E(A). S., around 50 years old, is suspected to have been killed with a firearm while he was on the road, moving on foot.

A special investigative team, under the direction of the Prosecution Office, is at the scene and continuing work to clarify the circumstances of the incident, as well as to secure any evidence that will help solve it and identify and capture the suspected perpetrator or perpetrators.

Police services have set up checkpoints and are carrying out searches in the area with the aim of capturing the perpetrator or perpetrators.
