The Albanian Road Authority has approved the implementation project for the Kashar-Rrogozhinë motorway, paving the way for construction to begin within this year. The road, part of the Blue Corridor, will stretch for approximately 34 kilometres.

With this approval, the project moves into the construction phase, while the expropriation process will also begin in parallel. Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Enea Karakaçi announced that discussions on how to connect the Kashar-Rrogozhinë section with the Tirana Bypass have now been completed and that the project is ready for implementation. According to him, following the ARRSH decision, the ministry will immediately begin expropriation procedures, with the aim of starting work within the year.

This section of the Blue Corridor follows on from the Thumanë-Kashar route and will be built to Category A standards. With a length of 33.5 kilometres, the motorway aims to create a more direct north-south connection and ease traffic along one of the country’s busiest corridors, Tirana-Durrës.

Describing the project as part of a package of strategic investments in road infrastructure, Karakaçi stressed that it aims to improve connections within the country and better integrate Albania into the European transport network.

As one of the most important sections of the Blue Corridor, the Kashar-Rrogozhinë motorway plays a key role in strengthening the north-south connection and improving Albania’s access to European transport corridors.

Sipas tij, pas vendimit të ARRSH-së, ministria do të nisë menjëherë procedurat e shpronësimeve, me synim që punimet të fillojnë brenda vitit.

Ky segment i Korridorit Blu vjen si vazhdim i aksit Thumanë-Kashar dhe do të ndërtohet sipas kategorisë A. Me një gjatësi prej 33.5 kilometrash, autostrada synon të krijojë një lidhje më të drejtpërdrejtë veri-jug dhe të lehtësojë trafikun në një nga korridoret më të ngarkuara të vendit, atë Tiranë-Durrës.

Duke e cilësuar projektin si pjesë të një pakete investimesh strategjike në infrastrukturën rrugore, Karakaçi theksoi se ai synon përmirësimin e lidhjeve brenda vendit dhe integrimin më të mirë të Shqipërisë me rrjetin europian të transportit.

Si një nga segmentet më të rëndësishme të Korridorit Blu, autostrada Kashar-Rrogozhinë luan një rol kyç në forcimin e lidhjes veri-jug dhe në përmirësimin e aksesit të Shqipërisë drejt korridoreve europiane të transportit.
