Avni Islami, a security affairs expert, has emphasized that the state operation for demolishing illegal structures in Kosovo is based on the principles of the rule of law and the equality of all citizens before the law.

Islami pointed out that this operation is being carried out throughout the entire territory of the country, including the northern municipality of Mitrovica, while attention has recently been focused on the zone around Lake Ujman, an area where numerous violations of construction laws have been found.

According to him, attempts to label this intervention as a politically charged action are unfounded, as the measures taken are fully supported by legislation and not by the ethnic affiliation of those affected.

In a detailed post, Islami wrote that “respect for the law and equal treatment of citizens, without any ethnic distinction, are the fundamental pillars of the state action for the demolition of unpermitted constructions in Kosovo.”

He added that “this operation, which has already affected areas such as Rugova, Brezovica, and Batllava, is extending nationwide, including the north of Mitrovica.”

Islami stressed that “the focus of the latest interventions has been around Lake Ujman, where many cases of illegality have been documented, some of them linked to high-ranking political figures of the Serb community.”

In closing, he underlined that “although the official media in Belgrade have attempted to present this operation as a politically motivated move, this stance collides with the reality on the ground. The fact that the action has a strong legal basis renders any propaganda effort invalid and leaves these claims without any legal or factual argument.”

Avni Islami, njohës i çështjeve të sigurisë, ka theksuar se operacioni shtetëror për shembjen e objekteve të paligjshme në Kosovë mbështetet në parimet e shtetit ligjor dhe në barazinë e të gjithë qytetarëve para ligjit.

Islami bëri të ditur se ky operacion po zhvillohet në të gjithë territorin e vendit, duke përfshirë edhe komunën veriore të Mitrovicës, teksa vëmendja së fundmi është përqendruar në brezin rreth Liqenit të Ujmanit, një zonë ku janë gjetur shkelje të shumta të ligjeve të ndërtimit.

Sipas tij, përpjekjet për ta cilësuar këtë ndërhyrje si një veprim me ngarkesë politike janë të pabaza, pasi masat e marra gjejnë mbështetje të plotë në legjislacion dhe jo në përkatësinë etnike të personave të prekur.

Në një postim të detajuar, Islami shkroi se “respektimi i ligjit dhe trajtimi i njëjtë i qytetarëve, pa asnjë dallim etnik, përbëjnë shtyllat themelore të aksionit shtetëror për prishjen e ndërtimeve pa leje në Kosovë.”

Ai shtoi se “ky operacion, i cili tashmë ka prekur zona si Rugova, Brezovica dhe Batllava, po shtrihet në mbarë vendin, përfshirë edhe veriun e Mitrovicës.”

Islami theksoi se “fokusi i ndërhyrjeve më të fundit është vënë rreth Liqenit të Ujmanit, ku janë dokumentuar shumë raste të paligjshmërisë, disa prej tyre të lidhura me figura të larta politike të komunitetit serb.”

Në fund, ai nënvizoi se “megjithëse mediat zyrtare në Beograd janë munduar ta paraqesin këtë operacion si një lëvizje me prapavijë politike, ky qëndrim përplaset me realitetin në terren. Fakti që aksioni ka një bazë të fortë ligjore e bën të pavlefshme çdo përpjekje për propagandë dhe i lë këto pretendime pa asnjë argument juridik apo faktik.”
