Dimal Basha, acting Minister of Infrastructure, has shared footage of construction work on the Prizren–Tetovo road, emphasizing the project’s importance for cross-border connectivity.

In a Facebook post, he announced that work on the road is continuing in the Sharr Mountains.

“Good morning from the Sharr Mountains, where work is underway on the Prizren–Tetovo road,” Basha wrote.

According to him, the project will deliver new infrastructure and create benefits for citizens living on both sides of the border.

“Through this project, the Kurti government will create new roads, new connections, and new opportunities for citizens on both sides of the border,” the acting Minister of Infrastructure stated.

Following heavy rainfall and a storm that struck Kosovo, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport announced that the maintenance teams responsible have been mobilized and are responding swiftly.

Strong winds brought down trees on the R115 regional road at the entrance to Shtërpcë. The fallen trees also damaged several vehicles.

Immediately after the incident, maintenance teams were deployed to the scene, where they removed the trees and cleared the road section.

The Ministry announced that the response had been completed, the road had reopened, and it could now be used by all vehicles.

Maintenance teams are on standby and are responding responsibly and without delay following the heavy rainfall and storm that have swept across our country.

At the entrance to Shtërpcë, along the R115 road, the storm brought down trees, which also damaged several vehicles. Our maintenance teams responded immediately, removing the trees and clearing the road.

Thanks to the work of the teams on the ground, the route has been cleared and is currently passable.

We remain vigilant and are coordinating with all responsible institutions, with the aim of managing the situations we are facing in the best possible way.

Citizens are urged to exercise increased caution and, when storm or heavy rainfall warnings are in effect, to avoid unnecessary travel and adjust their driving to the weather conditions.
