Imri Ahmeti, mayor of the municipality of Lipjan and member of the Presidency of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), has reacted regarding recent developments in the party, calling for the strengthening of internal democracy, dialogue, and tolerance.

Ahmeti emphasized that these principles should guide the functioning of the LDK, which, according to him, was founded on democracy, cooperation, and patience.

“Without internal democracy, without dialogue, understanding and tolerance, the LDK is not itself!”, he wrote in a post.

According to him, within the political entity there must be space for different opinions, while imposition, division and attacks among members must be avoided.

“Listening before deciding, convincing and not imposing, uniting and not lynching, are fundamental principles of the LDK’s functioning,” Ahmeti stated.

Clarifying that he is speaking “from within,” he recalled that he has been part of the LDK since its founding and has experienced the party in different periods.

In his reaction, Ahmeti also opposed what he calls a tendency for “lynching” and accusations against people who, according to him, contributed to the survival of the LDK during the most difficult moments.

“I refuse to see those who kept the LDK alive in the most difficult days being so easily lynched and accused, while political tourists are pampered,” he wrote.

The LDK Presidency member also criticized the use of insults and accusations, considering that this approach does not align with the party’s heritage and values.

He said that the LDK was built on respect, dialogue, and understanding, and therefore cannot be led through “fist,” raising of voice, or imposition.

“The LDK is unique and it is precisely this uniqueness that we must preserve,” Ahmeti stressed.

He concluded his reaction with an appeal for more dialogue, understanding, and respect within the party ranks, underlining that “the LDK is a shared responsibility.”

Imri Ahmeti, kryetar i Komunës së Lipjanit dhe anëtar i Kryesisë së Lidhjes Demokratike të Kosovës (LDK), ka reaguar lidhur me zhvillimet e fundit në parti, duke kërkuar forcimin e demokracisë së brendshme, dialogut dhe tolerancës.

Ahmeti ka theksuar se këto parime duhet të udhëheqin mënyrën e funksionimit të LDK-së, e cila, sipas tij, është themeluar mbi demokracinë, bashkëpunimin dhe durimin.

“Pa demokraci të brendshme, pa dialog, mirëkuptim dhe tolerancë, LDK-ja nuk është vetvetja!”, ka shkruar ai në një postim.

Sipas tij, brenda subjektit politik duhet të ketë hapësirë për mendime të ndryshme, ndërsa imponimi, përçarja dhe sulmet mes anëtarëve duhet të shmangen.

“Të dëgjosh para se të vendosësh, të bindësh e jo të imponosh, të bashkosh e jo të linqosh, janë parime fundamentale të funksionimit të LDK-së”, ka deklaruar Ahmeti.

Duke sqaruar se po shprehet “nga brenda”, ai ka kujtuar se është pjesë e LDK-së që nga themelimi i saj dhe se e ka përjetuar partinë në periudha të ndryshme.

Në reagimin e tij, Ahmeti ka kundërshtuar edhe atë që e quan prirje për “linçim” dhe akuza ndaj personave që, sipas tij, kanë kontribuar në mbijetesën e LDK-së gjatë momenteve më të vështira.

“Refuzoj që kaq lehtë të linqohen e të akuzohen ata që e kanë mbajtur gjallë LDK-në në ditët më të vështira, ndërsa të përkëdhelen turistët politikë”, ka shkruar ai.

Anëtari i Kryesisë së LDK-së ka shprehur kritika edhe ndaj përdorimit të fyerjeve dhe akuzave, duke vlerësuar se kjo qasje nuk përputhet me trashëgiminë dhe vlerat e partisë.

Ai ka thënë se LDK-ja është ngritur mbi respektin, dialogun dhe mirëkuptimin, ndaj nuk mund të drejtohet përmes “grushtit”, ngritjes së zërit apo imponimit.

“LDK-ja është e veçantë dhe pikërisht këtë veçanti duhet ta ruajmë”, ka theksuar Ahmeti.

Reagimin e tij e ka përmbyllur me një apel për më shumë dialog, mirëkuptim dhe respekt në radhët e partisë, duke nënvizuar se “LDK-ja është përgjegjësi e përbashkët”.

Regarding the calls by Imri Ahmeti and Gazmend Muhaxheri for him to leave the post, Abdixhiku said he had supported them even in cases when, according to him, they had made major mistakes.

“I understood what you understood as well; I did not even know they had held a meeting. It is more correct and more humane, and I have no bad words for them. I defended them when they made even bigger blunders. I had to cover their embarrassments; I went through fire for them. I made political agreements for them, agreements they did not even want to make public. In order to be careful to preserve the party, but while wanting to save it, those first reactions seemed stale to me.”

Lidhur me kërkesat e Imri Ahmetit dhe Gazmend Muhaxherit për largimin e tij nga posti, Abdixhiku tha se ai i ka mbështetur edhe në raste kur, sipas tij, ata kanë bërë gabime të mëdha.

“Kam kuptuar çka keni kuptuar edhe ju, madje nuk kam ditur as që kanë pasur mbledhje. Është më korrekte dhe më njerëzore, nuk kam fjalë të këqija për ta. I kam mbrojtur kur kanë bërë gafa më të mëdha. Është dashur me i mbulu marret e tyre, kam hy në zjarr për ta. Kam bërë marrëveshje politike për ta, marrëveshje që nuk kanë dashur as t’i bëjnë publike. Për të pasur kujdes me ruajtë partinë, por duke dashur me shpëtu, ato reagimet e para mu duken bajate”.
