A storm with heavy rainfall has hit the city of Elbasan and various areas of the county, causing large accumulations of water and traffic problems.

Intense rainfall has flooded several of the city’s roads, while in certain areas even the pavements have been covered by water, making it difficult for pedestrians to move around.

Vehicles have also been affected, with accumulated water slowing traffic and creating difficulties for drivers.

The situation has also been reported as problematic on several national roads linking Elbasan with other cities. In certain sections, there are fast-flowing waters and debris carried by the runoff, increasing the risk for drivers.

Authorities and the responsible structures are continuing to monitor the situation on the ground, while citizens and drivers are being asked to exercise extra caution and avoid dangerous sections.

Rainfall is expected to continue affecting several areas of the county, so the situation remains dynamic and requires ongoing monitoring.
