He believes the opposition is failing to secure citizens’ trust through the vote and, instead of reflecting, is seeking a repeat of the electoral process in the hope that the result might change.

“Power is won through the vote, not through wishes or political calculations. If citizens do not trust you today, the solution is not to demand endless elections, but to change your approach and political offer,” Geci wrote.

According to him, citizens are already tired of uninterrupted political crises, and therefore their verdict must be respected. He stressed that democracy functions through the vote, not through the organization of consecutive elections.

In a democracy, power is won at the ballot box, not at political tables. Any attempt to come to power without the citizens’ verdict is unacceptable and runs counter to the very principles on which a democratic state functions.

The opposition’s behavior in Kosovo is creating the impression that it has decided to keep the country in an endless cycle of elections, hoping that the result will change not because of citizens’ conviction, but because of the repetition of the electoral process.

With these actions by the opposition, dragging the country into consecutive elections, even if it were to demand elections every month, the citizens’ verdict at the ballot box would remain the same. Because the result does not change by repeating elections, but by changing policies, the approach, and the offer made to citizens.

But power is not taken through wishes, nor through political calculations. Power is won through the vote. If citizens do not trust you today, the answer is not to demand endless new elections, but to reflect on the reasons why you have lost their trust.

Successive defeats are not changed by changing the election date. What can change is only the political approach, the program, and the alternative offered to the citizen. Otherwise, the result remains the same, while citizens’ fatigue and disappointment only increase.

The citizens of Kosovo are tired of continuous political crises and of endless demands for new elections every time the opposition loses. Democracy does not function by voting repeatedly until the opposition wins. Democracy functions by respecting the citizens’ verdict and working to deserve their trust in the next elections.

For the opposition, the message is clear: give up dreams of power without the vote, because without citizens’ support, power remains unattainable. In politics, the winner is not the one who demands more elections, but the one who convinces more citizens.

In the end, the citizen is the only arbiter of democracy. And if the opposition continues to tire the country with constant demands for elections, the strongest answer will come precisely where the final verdict is delivered: at the ballot box.

Ai vlerëson se opozita nuk po arrin të sigurojë besimin e qytetarëve përmes votës dhe, në vend se të reflektojë, po synon përsëritjen e procesit zgjedhor me shpresën se rezultati mund të ndryshojë.

“Pushteti fitohet me votë, jo me dëshira apo kalkulime politike. Nëse qytetarët nuk të besojnë sot, zgjidhja nuk është të kërkosh zgjedhje pa fund, por të ndryshosh qasjen dhe ofertën politike”, ka shkruar Geci.

Sipas tij, qytetarët tashmë janë të lodhur nga krizat e pandërprera politike, ndaj verdikti i tyre duhet respektuar. Ai theksoi se demokracia vihet në funksion përmes votës, e jo përmes organizimit të zgjedhjeve të njëpasnjëshme.

Humbjet e njëpasnjëshme nuk po e shtyjnë opozitën drejt reflektimit, por drejt kërkesave për zgjedhje të reja, me shpresën se ajo që nuk ua dha qytetari sot, do t’ua japë nesër lodhja e elektoratit nga opozita do ju kushtoj te kutija.

Në demokraci, pushteti fitohet në kutitë e votimit dhe jo në tavolinat politike. Çdo përpjekje për të ardhur në pushtet pa verdiktin e qytetarëve është e papranueshme dhe bie ndesh me vetë parimet mbi të cilat funksionon një shtet demokratik.

Sjellja e opozitës në Kosovë po krijon përshtypjen se ajo ka vendosur ta mbajë vendin në një cikël të pafund zgjedhjesh, me shpresën se rezultati do të ndryshojë jo për shkak të bindjes së qytetarëve, por për shkak të përsëritjes së procesit zgjedhor.

Me këto veprime që po i bën opozita, duke e futur vendin në zgjedhje të njëpasnjëshme, edhe sikur të kërkonte zgjedhje çdo muaj, verdikti i qytetarëve në kutinë e votimit do të mbetej i njëjtë. Sepse rezultati nuk ndryshon duke përsëritur zgjedhjet, por duke ndryshuar politikat, qasjen dhe ofertën ndaj qytetarëve.

Por pushteti nuk merret me dëshira dhe as me kalkulime politike. Pushteti fitohet me votë. Nëse qytetarët nuk të besojnë sot, përgjigjja nuk është të kërkosh zgjedhje të reja pa fund, por të reflektosh mbi arsyet pse e ke humbur besimin e tyre.

Humbjet e njëpasnjëshme nuk ndryshohen duke ndryshuar datën e zgjedhjeve. Ajo që mund të ndryshojë është vetëm qasja politike, programi dhe alternativa që i ofrohet qytetarit. Në të kundërtën, rezultati mbetet i njëjtë, ndërsa lodhja dhe zhgënjimi i qytetarëve vetëm sa shtohen.

Qytetarët e Kosovës janë lodhur nga krizat e vazhdueshme politike dhe nga kërkesat e pafundme për zgjedhje të reja sa herë që opozita humbet. Demokracia nuk funksionon duke votuar vazhdimisht derisa opozita të fitojë. Demokracia funksionon duke respektuar verdiktin e qytetarëve dhe duke punuar për ta merituar besimin e tyre në zgjedhjet e ardhshme.

Për opozitën mesazhi është i qartë: hiqni dorë nga ëndrrat për pushtet pa votë, sepse pa mbështetjen e qytetarëve pushteti mbetet i paarritshëm. Në politikë nuk fiton ai që kërkon më shumë zgjedhje, por ai që bind më shumë qytetarë.

Në fund, qytetari është arbitri i vetëm i demokracisë. Dhe nëse opozita vazhdon ta lodhë vendin me kërkesa të vazhdueshme për zgjedhje, përgjigjja më e fortë do të vijë pikërisht aty ku jepet verdikti përfundimtar: në kutinë e votimit.
