Bani has announced that his GoFundMe campaign, launched to fund his new song “Assasin,” has been closed and that all donations will be returned to those who contributed.

The rapper aimed to raise £2,000 to cover the project’s expenses, including the instrumental, recording, mixing, mastering, and production of the music video.

In an Instagram story, he shared an email he had received from the GoFundMe team confirming that full refunds had been initiated. According to the notice, donors will receive 100 percent of their money within three to seven business days, while the option to make new donations has been disabled.

The correspondence indicates that G-Bani had personally contacted the platform’s team to initiate the process. GoFundMe allows organizers to refund donations when the funds are no longer needed, and the decision is irreversible. After closing the campaign, G-Bani also published a post in which he reacted angrily, saying that only 1/20 of the target had been raised and that, since the public did not want to support this project concerning the situation in Albania, he was forced to cancel it. He also added that his way of protesting was not with eggs, but through his art. However, just a few minutes later, G-Bani deleted the post, leaving only the story.

The well-known rapper G-Bani has turned to his fans with an unusual request, launching a campaign on the GoFundMe platform to secure the funds needed for the realization of his latest music project, “Assasin”.

Through a public message, the artist says that socially conscious hip-hop is going through a difficult period and that independent creators have less and less support, whether from organizers, the media or state institutions.

According to him, this has made it necessary to seek help directly from the public.

G-Bani emphasizes that, after nearly three decades on the music scene, he wants to continue to address topics that, according to him, often remain out of the spotlight, bringing different stories and perspectives through music.

“Assasin” will be the third project with a protest spirit, following the songs “In Extrems” and “Diktatori”.

The rapper points out that the inspiration for this creation is also linked to political and social developments in Albania, mentioning the protest held on July 26, 2026 near the Parliament building.

Through the open campaign, the artist aims to raise 2,000 pounds, which will go towards covering production costs, including orchestration, recording, mixing, mastering, and the making of the official music video.
