“Employment and transparent public administration!” This was one of Prime Minister Edi Rama’s promises while he was in opposition—one that he appears to have forgotten along the way.

While leading the opposition, Edi Rama promised an open public administration and numerous employment opportunities.

However, after taking the reins of government, these commitments appear to have been completely forgotten.

Today, Albanian citizens are calling on him to resign, while recalling that the Socialist leader once spoke of low-interest loans for homeless families and promised that 100% of roads would be paved.

These statements fell far short of what actually happened.
