A convict has died at the Fier Institute for the Execution of Penal Decisions (IEVP). According to preliminary information, the citizen in question is Artur (Gent) Ymer Doku (Sherifi), born on January 9, 1974, in Burrel and residing in Tirana.

Doku was serving a 15-year prison sentence for the criminal offenses of “premeditated murder” in collaboration, in two instances, and “illegal possession of weapons,” according to the relevant provisions of the Criminal Code.

The death is suspected to be of natural causes, as the 52-year-old had heart problems.
