KFOR’s announcement states that the exercise involved air assets, flight medical teams, and participants with various roles, who practiced procedures for casualty management, treatment, and emergency evacuation.

KFOR emphasized that activities of this kind increase interoperability among mission units and ensure that personnel are ready to respond quickly and effectively in various scenarios.

According to the NATO mission in Kosovo, such exercises help maintain operational readiness, situational awareness, and the skills necessary to contribute to a safe environment for all citizens of Kosovo.

The Kosovo Police said in a statement that the exercise aimed to strengthen interinstitutional cooperation and increase readiness for a coordinated response in dealing with critical incidents and high-risk situations, through joint operational procedures and interaction among security structures.

The exercise scenario included simulating a response to security threats, identifying and managing explosive devices, dealing with violent protests, the use of specialized equipment, the evacuation of individuals, as well as full interinstitutional coordination on the ground.

This activity involved operational and support units of the Kosovo Police, including the Directorate of Special Operational Units (DNJSO), the Rapid Response Unit (NJRSH), the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit (NJTME), the Demining and Disposal Unit (NJDA), the Directorate for Occupational Safety and Health (DSHSH), as well as Public Order units.

According to the Police, the exercise was observed by senior leaders of the participating institutions and international partners, who praised the professionalism, operational discipline and level of interinstitutional coordination during the implementation of the scenario.

The Kosovo Police stressed that it will continue its commitment to the continuous strengthening of operational capacities, deepening cooperation with local and international partners, as well as guaranteeing security and public order in the Republic of Kosovo.
