A vehicle came under gunfire on Saturday afternoon in Lezhë. No injuries were reported.

Police said that at around 18:00, Gj. Gj., who was traveling in an Audi, opened fire on another moving vehicle of the same make, driven by M. J., 30, a resident of Rubik.

Initial checks and inquiries conducted by the authorities confirmed that the bullets did not injure anyone.

The suspected gunman has been identified and remains wanted by police. Meanwhile, under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office, the investigative team is working at the scene to clarify the circumstances and legally document the case.

A serious motorcycle accident on the Greek island of Crete claimed the lives of two young Albanians. They have been identified as Edison Xhaka, 28, originally from Elbasan, and Aleksandër Toçila, 34, from Gramsh.

The tragic incident occurred on Thursday at around 03:00 on the Kissamos–Chania road, near the Kolymbari area. Greek authorities said that, under circumstances that remain unclear, the motorcycle carrying the two young men veered off the road and crashed into the metal barrier along its edge.

The impact proved fatal for both Albanians, who died at the scene. Although emergency crews arrived at the crash site, they were unable to save them.

Edison Xhaka had lived and worked in the Kissamos area for years, while Aleksandër Toçila had moved there some time ago for work.

The loss of the two compatriots has shocked and saddened the Albanian community living in Crete. The “Kastel” Albanian Association in Kissamos responded after the incident, remembering the victims as respected and hardworking young men and extending condolences to their families, relatives and friends.

The association’s announcement said that condolences for Edison Xhaka would be received at the home of his brother, Festim Xhaka. For Aleksandër Toçila, mourners will be received at the association’s premises, which will remain open to fellow Albanians.

Greek authorities are continuing their investigation to fully establish the circumstances and causes of the tragic accident in which the two young Albanians lost their lives.

Ngjarja tragjike u regjistrua të enjten, rreth orës 03:00, në rrugën Kissamos–Hania, afër zonës së Kolymbarit. Autoritetet greke bëjnë të ditur se, në rrethana ende të paqarta, motoçikleta ku udhëtonin të rinjtë doli nga rruga dhe u përplas me barrierën metalike në anë të saj.

Goditja rezultoi vdekjeprurëse për të dy shqiptarët, të cilët humbën jetën në vend. Edhe pse ekipet e emergjencës shkuan në zonën e aksidentit, ndërhyrja e tyre nuk arriti t’i shpëtonte.

Edison Xhaka kishte vite që banonte dhe punonte në zonën e Kissamosit. Ndërsa Aleksandër Toçila ishte zhvendosur atje prej disa kohësh për motive pune.

Humbja e dy bashkatdhetarëve ka tronditur dhe pikëlluar komunitetin shqiptar që jeton në Kretë. Shoqata Shqiptare “Kastel” në Kisamo reagoi pas ngjarjes, duke i kujtuar viktimat si djem të respektuar dhe punëtorë, si dhe u përcolli ngushëllime familjeve, të afërmve dhe miqve të tyre.

Në njoftimin e shoqatës thuhet se ngushëllimet për Edison Xhakën do të priten në banesën e vëllait të tij, Festim Xhaka. Për Aleksandër Toçilën, pritjet do të mbahen në ambientet e shoqatës, të cilat do të qëndrojnë të hapura për bashkatdhetarët.

Autoritetet greke po vazhdojnë hetimet për të sqaruar plotësisht rrethanat dhe shkaqet e aksidentit tragjik, në të cilin humbën jetën dy të rinjtë shqiptarë.

A serious incident shook the German capital on Saturday evening, when during the “Christopher Street Day” Pride parade, a vehicle driven by an individual plowed into participants in the Tiergarten area. Preliminary reports speak of one fatality and at least 16 injured.

Prime Minister Edi Rama immediately expressed Albania’s solidarity via a post on X, emphasizing that democratic values cannot be undermined by such acts. “I am deeply saddened by the tragic news coming from Berlin. On behalf of the Government of Albania, I express our heartfelt solidarity with Germany and the German people. There can be no tolerance for hatred, violence, or extremism in any form. They threaten not only our citizens’ safety but also the very values that hold our democracies together. We must stand united against them, resolutely and without hesitation. My thoughts are with the victim’s family, and I wish a full and speedy recovery to all those injured. Albania stands with Germany,” he wrote.

Thousands of people had gathered at the Berlin Pride event at the time of the incident. German authorities are continuing the investigation to clarify the full circumstances and motives of this attack.

Në emër të Qeverisë së Shqipërisë, i shpreh solidaritetin tonë të përzemërt Gjermanisë dhe popullit gjerman. Nuk mund të ketë tolerancë për urrejtje, dhunë apo ekstremizëm në asnjë formë. Ato kërcënojnë jo vetëm sigurinë e qytetarëve tanë, por edhe vetë vlerat që mbajnë demokracitë tona të bashkuara. Ne duhet të qëndrojmë të bashkuar kundër tyre, me vendosmëri dhe pa hezitim. Prime Minister Edi Rama has shared another stance regarding the ongoing protests, after handing over to socialist deputies the strategic document called “Besa”, which is seen as a step of reflection on civic movements.

In a reaction on social platforms, he addressed the protesters who have made it clear that they are not interested in talks or compromise, but demand only his resignation.

“They endlessly repeat that they reject dialogue, do not accept negotiations, will not give their word, and want only my removal! This is a deep misunderstanding. None of them has ever voted for me, I have no contractual relationship with them, and it never crossed my mind to break the agreement with 800,000 Albanians, among whom there are plenty of flamingos,” Rama states in his post.

The head of the executive clarifies that his previous message was dedicated to those who have given him trust in the elections, not to those who are organizing the gatherings for his dismissal.

“I addressed my word to those who voted for me, drawing lessons from the flamingos. I did not address the black crows that occupy the boulevard every evening, since the flamingos have left,” he stressed.

Rama added also that the protest participants are free to continue with their demand for resignation until the end of the mandate in 2029, describing this as a normal expression of freedom and democracy.

“Let them not stop coming under my windows with the call for resignation until 2029, if that is what they wish! Because freedom applies equally to them and democracy works the same way for everyone,” he continued.

At the end of his reaction, the prime minister reaffirmed that his governing legitimacy stems from the will expressed in the ballot boxes and that the “contract with Albanians” is not compromised by the pressure of protesters, but rests on the support of those who chose him.

Në një reagim në platformat sociale, ai iu drejtua protestuesve që kanë bërë të qartë se nuk janë të interesuar për bisedime apo kompromise, por kërkojnë vetëm dorëheqjen e tij.

“Ata përsërisin pa pushim se refuzojnë dialogun, nuk pranojnë negociata, nuk do të japin besë dhe duan vetëm largimin tim! Ky është një keqkuptim i thellë. Asnjë prej tyre nuk më ka votuar ndonjëherë, unë nuk kam asnjë lidhje kontraktuale me ta dhe as që më ka kaluar në mendje të thyej marrëveshjen me 800 mijë shqiptarët, mes të cilëve ka plot flamingo,” shprehet Rama në postimin e tij.

Shefi i ekzekutivit sqaron se mesazhi i tij i mëparshëm i dedikohej atyre që i kanë dhënë besimin në zgjedhje, jo atyre që po organizojnë tubimet për shkarkimin e tij.

“Fjalën time ua adresova atyre që më votuan, duke nxjerrë mësime nga flamingot. Nuk iu drejtova sorrave të zeza që zënë bulevardin çdo mbrëmje, pasi flamingot janë larguar,” theksoi ai.

Rama shtoi gjithashtu se pjesëmarrësit në protesta janë të lirë të vijojnë me kërkesën e tyre për dorëheqje deri në përfundim të mandatit në vitin 2029, duke e cilësuar këtë si një shprehje normale të lirisë dhe demokracisë.

“Le të mos ndalen së ardhuri nën dritaret e mia me thirrjen për dorëheqje deri në 2029-ën, nëse kështu dëshirojnë! Sepse liria vlen njëlloj për ta dhe demokracia funksionon në të njëjtën mënyrë për këdo,” vijoi ai.

Në fund të reagimit, kryeministri ripohoi se legjitimiteti i tij qeverisës buron nga vullneti i shprehur në kutitë e votimit dhe se “kontrata me shqiptarët” nuk cenohet nga presioni i protestuesve, por qëndron mbi mbështetjen e atyre që e zgjodhën.

A serious incident shook Sunday morning on the Vlorë–Llogara road, near the village of Fushë Dukat, where a road accident caused the death of one person and the injury of five others.

Around 06:15, a van with license plate AC 701 AJ, which is suspected to have been transporting workers from Tirana towards coastal areas for work reasons, lost control and ended up in a roadside ditch.

As a result of the vehicle leaving the road, the driver and four passengers sustained injuries, while another person is believed to have died at the scene. The victim is I.H., 52 years old.

The violent impact severely deformed the van, causing some of the people inside to remain trapped among the destroyed metal parts. To extract the injured, firefighter teams had to cut through the vehicle’s structure.

The injured are S.H., 22 years old; Q.H., 44 years old; S.R., around 22 years old, and another individual whose name has not yet been released by authorities.

Ambulances rushed the injured to the Vlorë Regional Hospital for medical treatment, while the victim’s body was transported to the same hospital’s morgue.

Early investigation hypotheses suggest the tragedy may have been caused by a moment of drowsiness on the part of the driver or a sudden health issue, but the investigative team continues to work to fully clarify the circumstances.

Traffic Police forces arrived at the accident scene, launched investigative procedures, and are taking all necessary actions to uncover the exact cause of this fatal crash.

Rreth orës 06:15, një furgon me targa AC 701 AJ, i cili dyshohet se po transportonte punëtorë nga Tirana drejt zonave bregdetare për arsye pune, ka humbur kontrollin dhe ka përfunduar në një kanal anës rrugës.

Si pasojë e daljes nga rruga, shoferi i mjetit dhe katër pasagjerë kanë pësuar lëndime, ndërsa një person tjetër mendohet të ketë ndërruar jetë në vendngjarje. Viktima është I.H., 52 vjeç.

Goditja e fortë deformoi rëndë furgonin, duke bërë që disa nga personat brenda tij të mbeteshin të bllokuar mes pjesëve metalike të shkatërruara. Për t’i nxjerrë të plagosurit, ekipet e zjarrfikësve u detyruan të presin strukturën e automjetit.

Të lënduarit janë S.H., 22 vjeç; Q.H., 44 vjeç; S.R., rreth 22 vjeç, si dhe një individ tjetër, emri i të cilit nuk është bërë ende publik nga autoritetet.

Ambulancat i dërguan me urgjencë të plagosurit në Spitalin Rajonal të Vlorës për trajtim mjekësor, ndërsa trupi i pajetë i viktimës u transportua në morgun e të njëjtit spital.

Hipotezat fillestare të hetimit sugjerojnë se shkaktar i tragjedisë mund të ketë qenë një moment përgjumjeje te drejtuesi i furgonit ose një shqetësim i menjëhershëm shëndetësor, por grupi hetimor vijon punën për të sqaruar plotësisht dinamikën e ngjarjes.

Në vendin e aksidentit kanë mbërritur forcat e Policisë Rrugore, të cilat kanë nisur procedurat hetimore dhe po kryejnë të gjitha veprimet e nevojshme për të zbardhur rrethanat e sakta të këtij aksidenti fatal.
