According to Nufi, after the reconnaissance mission was completed and the report prepared by Albanian officers was analyzed, the General Staff determined the initial level of engagement of the Albanian Armed Forces in this operation.

He explained that in the first phase, staff officers will be sent and will be integrated into the command structure of the international force in Gaza. Later, depending on developments on the ground and operational assessments, a decision will also be made on sending other troops.

“We will send staff officers to become part of the international stabilizing force in Gaza. After assessing the situation and the needs on the ground, we will continue with the second phase to determine specifically which troops may be engaged in the mission,” Nufi said.

The minister also said that this decision will be submitted for approval to the Council of Ministers through the relevant by-laws.

He underlined that Albania’s involvement is in line with the position previously announced by the prime minister on participation in international peace and stability initiatives.

Nufi stressed that the number of officers to be sent and the next steps of the mission will be made public only after the decision receives the approval of the Council of Ministers.

“Everything will be coordinated with the command structures of the international force. After the approval of the Council of Ministers’ decision, we will also make public the number of staff officers who will be sent initially, as well as the other phases of the engagement,” the defense minister said.

Sipas Nufit, pasi përfundoi misioni i rikonjicionit dhe u analizua raporti i përgatitur nga oficerët shqiptarë, Shtabi i Përgjithshëm ka përcaktuar nivelin fillestar të angazhimit të Forcave të Armatosura shqiptare në këtë operacion.

Ai sqaroi se në fazën e parë do të dërgohen oficerë shtabi, të cilët do të përfshihen në strukturën komanduese të forcës ndërkombëtare në Gaza. Më vonë, në varësi të zhvillimeve në terren dhe vlerësimeve operative, do të merret vendim edhe për dërgimin e trupave të tjera.

“Do të dërgojmë oficerë shtabi që të bëhen pjesë e forcës ndërkombëtare stabilizuese në Gaza. Pas vlerësimit të situatës dhe nevojave në terren, do të vijojmë me fazën e dytë për të përcaktuar konkretisht trupat që mund të angazhohen në mision”, u shpreh Nufi.

Ministri bëri të ditur gjithashtu se ky vendim do të kalojë për miratim në Këshillin e Ministrave përmes akteve nënligjore përkatëse.

Ai nënvizoi se ky angazhim i Shqipërisë përputhet me qëndrimin e shpallur më herët nga kryeministri për pjesëmarrjen në nismat ndërkombëtare të paqes dhe stabilitetit.

Nufi theksoi se numri i oficerëve që do të nisen dhe hapat e mëtejshëm të misionit do të bëhen publikë vetëm pasi vendimi të marrë miratimin e Këshillit të Ministrave.

“Gjithçka do të koordinohet me strukturat komanduese të forcës ndërkombëtare. Pas miratimit të vendimit të Këshillit të Ministrave do të bëjmë publike edhe numrin e oficerëve të shtabit që do të nisen fillimisht, si dhe fazat e tjera të angazhimit”, deklaroi ministri i Mbrojtjes.

“How easy it is to support the war from the couch and refuse to go with your friends to the battlefield, just as today it is easy to get ‘likes’ from the square of a protest, whose supporters do not even know who is leading it or what it is really trying to achieve! There is no greater shame than throwing mud on the blood and flag of the KLA — the most glorious war of the Albanian people for freedom in their own lands — by linking it to charlatans who dare to speak in the name of the real heroes. It is truly a great shame that someone claims to speak in their name or in the name of patriotism while directly harming Albanian national interests! This kind of person has ties only with Iranians and/or the corrupt, because he has no connection of any kind with the KLA!

Further on, Nufi wrote: “Meanwhile, the real commander of the KLA is in The Hague, being held unjustly! While the true architect of the revolutionary journey of Albania toward the family of European values, carrying out an extraordinary transformation for the country, is Edi Rama, and Albanians have shown this best through their vote by massively supporting him and the Socialist Party of Albania!”

“Sa e lehtë është të mbështesësh luftën nga divani dhe të refuzosh të shkosh me shokët në fushëbetejë, njejtë si sot të marrësh “pëlqime” nga sheshi i një proteste, e cila nuk dihet nga ata që e përkrahin as se kush e drejton apo çfarë realisht kërkon të arrijë! Nuk ka turp më të madh se sa të hidhet baltë mbi gjakun dhe flamurin e UÇK-së – luftës më të lavdishme të popullit shqiptar për liri në trojet e veta duke e lidhur atë me sharlatanë që guxojnë të flasin në emër të heronjve të vërtetë. Turp vërtet i madh që dikush pretendon të flasë në emër të tyre apo në emër të patriotizmit duke dëmtuar drejtpërsëdrejti interesat kombëtare shqiptare! Ky lloj njeriu vetëm me iranianët dhe/apo gjakprishurit ka lidhje, sepse me UÇK-në asnjë lloj lidhje nuk ka!

Më tej, Nufi shkroi: “Ndërkohë, Komandanti i vërtetë i UÇK-së është në Hagë, i mbajtur padrejtësisht! Ndërsa arkitekti i vërtetë i revolucionit të rrugëtimit të Shqipërisë drejt familjes së vlerave evropiane, duke bërë një transformim të jashtëzakonshëm për vendin është Edi Rama dhe këtë e kanë treguar më së miri shqiptarët me votën e tyre duke përkrahur atë masivisht dhe Partinë Socialiste të Shqipërisë!”
