The tragic event occurred on Saturday afternoon, when the young man is believed to have ended up in a whirlpool in the river and was carried away by the current.

After two days of intensive search operations, divers managed to locate and recover the 33-year-old’s lifeless body, bringing the search to an end.

Authorities are continuing procedures to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.

Erkin Lika, ishte një pjesëtar shumë i njohur i grupeve të kërkim-shpëtimit, i cili shquhej për angazhimin e tij në operacione për shpëtimin e personave të përfshirë në aksidente, ndërsa alpinizmi ishte pasioni i tij më i madh.

Sipas informacioneve paraprake, ngjarja ndodhi teksa ai ndodhej në zonë së bashku me grupin, ku dyshohet se ka rrëshqitur nga shkëmbinjtë në momentin që po fotografonte pjesëtarët e ekipit, duke rënë në humnerë.
