Eco-activist Mile Aleksovski explains that construction activities on the motorway have damaged all the springs that flow into the Treska River, in the section from Krushina to Botun. According to him, the impact is linked to the extensive excavation work, as well as the construction of bridges and tunnels.

Aleksovski warns that biodiversity is facing a serious threat, describing what has been done to the Treska River as a classic ecocide. He calls on the state to establish a working group of experts in the field, who should inspect the actual situation and draw up a plan for technical rehabilitation, with the aim of restoring the Treska River’s springs./tv21
