Halil Geci has reacted strongly to the criticism and accusations directed at caretaker Prime Minister Albin Kurti, describing them as an organized political and media campaign.

According to Geci, today’s situation resembles the attacks once directed at historic President Ibrahim Rugova. He claims that the same circles that once branded Rugova a spy and traitor are behind the discourse against Kurti, reports “Bota sot.”

Geci also spoke about Russian and Serbian influence, as well as the involvement of certain Albanian political circles. He called for any suspicions of harm to state interests to be investigated and the facts to be made public.

THE ATTACKS ON KURTI EXPOSED THE SAME STRUCTURE THAT ONCE TARGETED RUGOVA

Those who years ago called Ibrahim Rugova a spy and traitor are now trying to portray Albin Kurti as a “spy for Iran, Russia or Serbia.” However, the passage of time is revealing ever more clearly the people and interests that, according to this belief, lie behind this propaganda.

To understand who Albin Kurti is, it was enough to carefully observe the sources from which the attacks against him came.

The criticism of Kurti has come from the Russian ambassador to the Security Council, from Serbia, from people linked to various political and security structures, from certain voices in Tirana, from circles that support Russian and Serbian narratives, and from some commentators who for years have pursued an uninterrupted line against him.

When you analyze the authors of the attacks and their motives, you can often understand for yourself where the problem lies, even without needing much evidence.

This is not a scheme that has appeared for the first time.

At its core, it is the same spirit that was once directed against Ibrahim Rugova. The same circles and people called him a spy, a traitor and an obstacle to Kosovo. There were also assassination attempts against him, while LDK associates and patriots were killed.

Today, this spirit appears through different language, labeling Albin Kurti a “spy for Iran,” “Russia” or “Serbia.”

But history shows that, over the years, the masks eventually fall.

As brothers, we recognized this reality a long time ago. For this reason, we shut the door on people we considered suspicious and dangerous to the national interest. Not everyone believed us. In fact, for a time, even Rifati of the Jasharaj family did not believe us. But after he understood what was happening, he too removed them, shut the door on them and made it clear that he did not want to see them there again.

For this position, my gratitude goes first and foremost to the graves of our ancestors. From them we learned that the homeland is not defended only in favorable circumstances, but especially when that defense requires sacrifices.

We chose the side we considered right many years before many others understood the same thing.

This position did not come without a cost.

Our comrades and friends have been killed, while our brothers have been wounded. We paid a high price for our convictions. Nevertheless, today we feel proud that we stood shoulder to shoulder with what we saw as right—with Kosovo and with our historic allies—America, England and Germany.

Our belief has been that, just as we defended the country during the war, we must defend it in times of peace and freedom as well.

For this reason, Albin Kurti and Donika Gërvalla, I congratulate you on your steadfastness in the face of a powerful political and media propaganda campaign which, in my view, consists of an intertwining of Slavic, Russian and Serbian interests with those of certain Albanian political circles.

When serious accusations have been raised against Kosovo’s institutions and suspicions of betrayal of the state interest have emerged within them, the task has been and remains to cleanse the institutions and bring the facts to light.

If there are people who have sold out Kosovo’s interests, they should be declassified and brought before justice. This should not be done out of political revenge, but to protect the state.

More than ever, citizens today need facts rather than labels, transparency rather than propaganda, and strong institutions rather than structures that operate in secret.

Therefore, Albin Kurti and Donika Gërvalla, remain steadfast in the face of pressure and do not submit to propaganda.

In the end, the truth is not determined by the noise of television studios, but by history and facts.

I will continue to support every position that protects Kosovo, its sovereignty and its strategic alliances.

Even if one day I have to express this with crutches in hand, like an old man holding his head high, my message will remain the same:

Kosovo stands above the interests of individuals. The homeland is more important than power. And the truth, sooner or later, brings down all masks.

Ata që vite më parë e quanin Ibrahim Rugovën spiun dhe tradhtar, sot po përpiqen ta paraqesin Albin Kurtin si “spiun të Iranit, Rusisë apo Serbisë”. Megjithatë, kalimi i kohës po zbulon gjithnjë e më qartë njerëzit dhe interesat që, sipas kësaj bindjeje, fshihen pas kësaj propagande.

Për të kuptuar se kush është Albin Kurti, mjaftonte të vëzhgohej me kujdes se nga cilat burime vinin sulmet ndaj tij.

Kritikat ndaj Kurtit kanë ardhur nga ambasadori rus në Këshillin e Sigurimit, nga Serbia, nga persona të lidhur me struktura të ndryshme politike dhe të sigurisë, nga disa zëra në Tiranë, nga qarqe që mbështesin narrativat ruse e serbe dhe nga një pjesë e opinionistëve që prej vitesh kanë ndjekur një linjë të pandërprerë kundër tij.

Kur analizon autorët e sulmeve dhe arsyet e tyre, shpesh mund të kuptosh vetë se ku fshihet problemi, edhe pa pasur nevojë për shumë prova.

Kjo nuk është një skemë e shfaqur për herë të parë.

Në thelb, bëhet fjalë për të njëjtën frymë që dikur drejtohej kundër Ibrahim Rugovës. Të njëjtat qarqe dhe njerëz e quanin atë spiun, tradhtar dhe pengesë për Kosovën. Kundër tij pati edhe atentate, ndërsa u vranë bashkëpunëtorë dhe atdhetarë të LDK-së.

Sot, kjo frymë shfaqet përmes një fjalori tjetër, duke e cilësuar Albin Kurtin si “spiun të Iranit”, “të Rusisë” ose “të Serbisë”.

Por historia tregon se, me kalimin e viteve, maskat përfundimisht bien.

Ne, si vëllezër, e kemi dalluar këtë realitet shumë kohë më parë. Për këtë arsye, u mbyllëm derën njerëzve që i shihnim si të dyshimtë dhe të rrezikshëm për interesin kombëtar. Jo të gjithë na besuan. Madje, për një periudhë, as Rifati i Jasharajve nuk na besonte. Por, pasi e kuptoi çfarë po ndodhte, edhe ai i largoi, ua mbylli derën dhe ua bëri të ditur se nuk donte t’i shihte më aty.

Për këtë qëndrim, mirënjohja ime u shkon para së gjithash varreve të të parëve tanë. Prej tyre mësuam se atdheu nuk mbrohet vetëm në rrethana të favorshme, por veçanërisht atëherë kur kjo mbrojtje kërkon sakrifica.

Ne zgjodhëm anën që e konsideronim të drejtë shumë vite përpara se shumë të tjerë ta kuptonin të njëjtën gjë.

Ky pozicionim nuk ka qenë pa kosto.

Na janë vrarë shokë dhe miq, ndërsa vëllezërit tanë janë plagosur. Për bindjet tona kemi paguar një çmim të lartë. Megjithatë, sot ndihemi krenarë që kemi qëndruar krah për krah me atë që e kemi parë si të drejtë, me Kosovën dhe me aleatët tanë historikë — Amerikën, Anglinë dhe Gjermaninë.

Besimi ynë ka qenë se, ashtu siç e mbrojtëm vendin gjatë luftës, duhet ta mbrojmë atë edhe në kohë paqeje dhe lirie.

Për këtë arsye, Albin Kurti dhe Donika Gërvalla, ju përgëzoj për qëndresën tuaj përballë një propagande të fuqishme politike e mediatike, e cila, sipas bindjes sime, përbëhet nga ndërthurja e interesave sllave, ruse, serbe dhe e qarqeve të caktuara politike shqiptare.

Kur ndaj institucioneve të Kosovës janë ngritur akuza të rënda dhe kur brenda tyre janë shfaqur dyshime për tradhti ndaj interesit shtetëror, detyra ka qenë dhe vazhdon të jetë pastrimi i institucioneve dhe nxjerrja e fakteve në dritë.

Nëse ka persona që e kanë shitur interesin e Kosovës, ata duhet të deklasifikohen dhe të dalin para drejtësisë. Kjo nuk duhet të bëhet për hakmarrje politike, por për mbrojtjen e shtetit.

Qytetarët kanë nevojë sot më shumë se kurrë për fakte dhe jo për etiketime, për transparencë dhe jo për propagandë, si dhe për institucione të fuqishme e jo për struktura që funksionojnë në fshehtësi.

Prandaj, Albin Kurti dhe Donika Gërvalla, qëndroni të palëkundur përballë trysnisë dhe mos iu nënshtroheni propagandës.

Në fund, të vërtetën nuk e përcakton zhurma e studiove televizive, por historia dhe faktet.

Unë do të vazhdoj të mbështes çdo qëndrim që mbron Kosovën, sovranitetin e saj dhe aleancat e saj strategjike.

Edhe sikur një ditë të më duhet ta shpreh këtë me krrole në dorë, si një plak që e mban kokën lart, mesazhi im do të mbetet i njëjtë:

Kosova qëndron mbi interesat e individëve. Atdheu është më i rëndësishëm se pushteti. Dhe e vërteta, herët ose vonë, i rrëzon të gjitha maskat.

He recalls that Milosevic’s speech that day opened the chapter of the wars in the former Yugoslavia, while Ibrahim Rugova’s response, published in the German magazine Der Spiegel, signaled the failure of Serbian policies.

According to Buxhovi, the historical conclusion of this confrontation was Kosovo’s liberation and the declaration of independence on February 17, 2008, although, as he stresses, Serbian clerical fascism continues to try to keep the Kosovo myth alive through the marking of Vidovdan.

THE FABRICATED MYTH OF KOSOVO, SERBIAN CLERICAL FASCISM, AND THE STATE OF KOSOVO…

Thirty-seven years ago, at Gazimestan, before a Serbian crowd of one million people, Milosevic, with the declaration that “after six centuries, we again find ourselves in battles and before battles. They are not armed battles, although such things should not be excluded yet,” opened the bloody chapter of the destruction of Yugoslavia, with tragic consequences for its peoples.

That day, at the Gazimestan platform, before the disintegrating Yugoslav presidency and the eyes of a world bewildered by what was happening to Tito’s legacy, the Serbian “vozhd” was promoted, reincarnated from Lazar of Kosovo to restore “Serbian historical glory” and, as was said, “the mission of the Serbs to defend European civilization” (understood to mean from the Albanians, the occupiers of Serbia’s holy lands)!

At the same time, somewhere near Gazimestan, Dr. Ibrahim Rugova, then chairman of the Kosovo Writers’ Association, in a historic interview for the German magazine Der Spiegel, among the very few, in the name of the intellectual, historical, cultural, and political conscience, although without its mandate, responded to Milosevic’s threats against Albanians and others at the clerical-fascist celebration of Serbian Vidovdan.

In short, Dr. Rugova’s response to Milosevic, in what was then the most influential German and European weekly, was that on March 23 of that year, Milosevic, with tanks and under a state of emergency, destroyed Kosovo’s autonomy as a federal unit. By doing so, he staged a coup against the Yugoslav constitution. This act is seen by Albanians as the reoccupation of Kosovo, after that of 1945. On this occasion, Rugova warned the Serbs that “whenever a small people, and the Serbs are such a people, have tried to impose hegemony in the Balkans, they have ended tragically.”

Thus, the Serbian clerical-fascist orgy of June 1989 ended exactly as Dr. Rugova had predicted in the German magazine. But from today’s historical perspective, Gazimestan brought to the fore two of its most important actors, who marked eras in opposite directions.

On one side was Milosevic, its loser, who in 2003, as president of the Yugoslav remnant, ended up at the International Tribunal in The Hague for war crimes against humanity, where he also died during the trial in 2006.

On the other side was Dr. Ibrahim Rugova, the historic leader of the Albanians, who, with the founding of the LDK on December 23, 1989, and with the mandate of the free vote from the presidential and parliamentary elections of 1992 and 1998, took on the historic responsibility of active institutional peaceful resistance, with the parallel state, up to the armed one, which brought NATO’s military intervention from March 24 to June 10, 1999.

It can be said that the history between the demystification of the fabricated Serbian myth of Kosovo for hegemonistic aims and Kosovo’s liberation from it, with the epilogue of the independent state of Kosovo declared on February 17, 2008, had the beginning of its end on June 28, 1989, in Gazimestan.

Nevertheless, this extraordinary historical leap has left behind the spirit of Serbian clerical fascism, which on every Vidovdan tries to keep alive in Kosovo the medieval myth of “Kosovo as Serbia’s historic cradle,” even though reality, the state of Kosovo, and the Western orientation of the Albanians have rendered it obsolete to the point of anachronism!

Ai rikujton se fjalimi i Millosheviqit në atë ditë hapi kapitullin e luftërave në ish-Jugosllavi, ndërsa përgjigjja e Ibrahim Rugovës, e botuar në revistën gjermane Der Spiegel, sinjalizoi dështimin e politikave serbe.

Sipas Buxhovit, përmbyllja historike e kësaj përballjeje ishte çlirimi i Kosovës dhe shpallja e pavarësisë më 17 shkurt 2008, edhe pse, siç thekson ai, klerofashizmi serb vazhdon të përpiqet ta mbajë gjallë mitin e Kosovës përmes shënimit të Vidovdanit.

MITI I SAJUAR I KOSOVËS, KLEROFASHIZMI SERB DHE SHTETI I KOSOVËS…

Para 37 vitesh, në Gazimestan, përballë një turme serbe prej një milion vetash, Millosheviqi me deklaratën se “pas gjashtë shekujsh, prapë gjendemi para betejave dhe në beteja, të cilat nuk janë të armatosura, por sado që të tilla nuk përjashtohen”, hapi kapitullin e përgjakshëm të shkatërrimit të Jugosllavisë, me pasoja tragjike për popujt e saj.

Atë ditë, në tribunën e Gazimestanit, përpara kryesisë së shpërbërë jugosllave dhe syve të një bote të hutuar nga ajo që po ndodhte me trashëgiminë e Titos, u promovua “vozhdi” serb, i reinkarnuar nga Lazari i Kosovës për të rikthyer “lavdinë historike serbe” dhe, siç u tha, “misionarizmin e serbëve për ta mbrojtur qytetërimin europian” (kuptohet nga shqiptarët pushtues të tokave të shenjta serbe)!

Në të njëjtën kohë, diku pranë Gazimestanit, dr. Ibrahim Rugova, atëherë kryetar i Shoqatës së Shkrimtarëve të Kosovës, në një intervistë historike për magazinin gjerman “Der Spiegel”, ndër të rrallët, në emër të ndërgjegjes intelektuale, historike, kulturore dhe politike, ndonëse pa mandat të saj, iu përgjigj kërcënimeve të Millosheviqit ndaj shqiptarëve dhe të tjerëve në festën klerofashiste të Vidovdanit serb.

Shkurtimisht, kundërpërgjigjja e Dr Rugovës ndaj Millosheviqit, në të përjavshmen më të fuqishme gjermane dhe europiane të kohës, ishte se më 23 mars të atij viti, Millosheviqi, me tanke dhe në kushtet e gjendjes së jashtëzakonshme, e rrënoi autonominë e Kosovës si njësi federative. Me këtë, ai kreu puç ndaj kushtetutës jugosllave. Ky veprim nga shqiptarët shihet si ripushtim i Kosovës, pas atij të vitit 1945. Me këtë rast, Rugova u tërhiqte vërejtjen serbëve se “sa herë ndonjë popull i vogël, e të tillë janë edhe serbët, kanë provuar të vejnë hegjemoni në Ballkan, kanë përfunduar tragjikisht”.

Kështu, orgjia klerofashiste serbe e qershorit të vitit 1989 përfundoi pikërisht siç kishte parashikuar dr Rugova në magazinin gjerman. Por, nga këndvështrimi i sotëm historik, Gazimestani nxori në pah dy prej akterëve më të rëndësishëm të saj, të cilët shënuan epoka me kahe të kundërta.

Në njërën anë ishte Millosheviqi, humbësi i saj, i cili në vitin 2003, si president i mbetjes jugosllave, përfundoi në Trtibunalin Ndërkombëtar të Hagës për krime lufte kundër njerëzimit, ku edhe vdiq gjatë procesit në vitin 2006.

Në anën tjetër ishte dr Ibrahim Rugova, lideri historik i shqiptarëve, i cili, me themelimin e LDKs-ë më 23 dhjetor të vitit 1989, me mandatin e votës së lirë nga zgjedhjet presidenciale dhe parlamentare të viteve 1992 dhe 1998, mori përgjegjësinë historike të rezistencës institucionale-aktive paqësore, me shtetin paralel, deri te ajo e armatosur, që solli ndërhyrjen ushtarake të NATO-s nga 24 marsi deri më 10 qershor 1999.

Mund të thuhet se historia mes demistifikimit të mitit të sajuar serb të Kosovës për synime hegjemoniste dhe çlirimit të Kosovës prej tij, me epilog shtetin e pavarur të Kosovës të shpallur më 17 shkurt 2008, fillimin e fundit e pati më 28 qershor 1989 në Gazimestan.

Megjithatë, ky kapërcim i jashtëzakonshëm historik ka lënë pas frymën e klerofashizmit serb, i cili në çdo Vidovdan përpiqet që në Kosovë ta mbajë të gjallë mitin mesjetar të “Kosovës djep historik serb”, ndonëse realiteti, shteti i Kosovës dhe përkatësia perëndimore e shqiptarëve, e ka zhvlerësuar atë deri në anakronizëm!
