A 48-year-old man from Kumanovo has been detained by police on suspicion of assaulting his minor son. According to the report, he had initially attempted to physically attack his wife.

The Department of Internal Affairs announced that on 27.08.2026, at around 00:15, police officers from the Kumanovo Department of Internal Affairs deprived Z.N., 48, from Kumanovo, of his liberty. The incident is believed to have occurred at the family home, where the suspect attempted to attack his 48-year-old wife and subsequently assaulted their minor son.

Police said that, after the case documentation is completed, an appropriate criminal complaint will be filed against Z.N.

During the procedure, it was established that she was intoxicated, with a blood alcohol level of 1.02 per mille. The suspect was escorted to the police station, and after full clarification of the circumstances, the appropriate criminal complaint will be filed.

On the same day, another case was reported in Skopje. At 14:40, in the Center area, police detained I.G., 42, who is suspected of threatening his 63-year-old uncle and his family. After gathering evidence, legal proceedings will be launched against him.

One day earlier, on 11.07.2026, at 09:30, law enforcement in Kumanovo arrested K.B., 71, for physical abuse of his fifty-year-old wife. He was taken to the police station, and after gathering documentation, he will face formal charges.

On the same date, at 09:30, a forty-year-old man appeared at a police station in Skopje to file a complaint against his wife, N.G., 42, who had wounded him in the arm by throwing a sharp object during an argument at their home in the municipality of Aerodrom. The case is being investigated.

A little later, at 17:35, the Rankovce police station was informed that D.T., a resident of a nearby village, had physically attacked his mother. Authorities are working to fully clarify the incident.

On the evening of July 11, at around 21:27, Debar police arrested F.A., 58, who had acted violently toward his mother in the family home. In this case as well, after the completion of preliminary investigations, corresponding charges will be filed.

Just after midnight, on 12.07.2026, at 00:05, in Pehčevo, officers of SPB Berovo detained I.K., 50, on charges of having committed violence against his 46-year-old wife and intimidating her. The case materials will be processed for further prosecution.

About an hour and a half later, at 01:45, in the town of Štip, police officers arrested M.S., 30, following a phone call accusing him of physically assaulting his 24-year-old partner. This incident will also be followed by the appropriate legal measures.
