The Council of Ministers held its regular meeting today, during which it adopted several decisions and approved the draft law regulating the establishment and administration of minimum security reserves for crude oil and its by-products.

Among the decisions approved was the deployment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania to the KFOR mission in Kosovo. The Albanian contingent will consist of 17 soldiers and one helicopter.

The meeting also decided to appoint Mario Keputa as deputy minister of Economy and Innovation.

The executive also approved an amendment to the 2020 decision establishing the necessary documents and detailed procedures for identifying unauthorized constructions.

Another matter approved was the Assembly’s opinion on a non-government draft law proposing amendments to the law “On the Institute for the Study of the Crimes and Consequences of Communism in Albania.”

The government also decided to amend the regulation concerning the protection of employees’ safety and health from risks arising from exposure to biological agents at work.

The draft law “On the establishment, maintenance and management of minimum security reserves of crude oil and its by-products” was also approved at the meeting.

The legislative initiative establishes how these security reserves will be created, administered, stored and used.

According to the draft law’s purpose, the measures envisaged aim to guarantee a high level of security for the oil supply in the Republic of Albania.
