Several-kilometre-long queues of vehicles formed at the Morinë border crossing on Friday, causing lengthy delays for drivers seeking to cross the border.

The heavy traffic and waiting times have been affected by checks on vehicles with foreign license plates, as well as restrictions on heavy goods vehicles traveling on Kosovo’s roads.

The high temperatures that have gripped the region have made the wait in line even more difficult for travelers.

Border authorities have not yet issued an official statement on waiting times or any measures that may be taken to ease traffic.
