Avni Dehari, chair of the constitutive session of the Assembly of Kosovo, has provided clarification regarding why it has not been convened.

Speaking to the media, he said the session would be scheduled once the parties reach an agreement.

“The session will be held when there is an agreement,” Dehari said.

According to him, the deadlines are set by the rules of procedure, but no sanctions are provided for failing to meet them. Dehari said the best solution is to reach an agreement that puts an end to the problem, recalling that 57 sessions were held on December 28 without producing anything new.

He raised the question of what purpose continuing the sessions would serve if they do not produce results.
