In its official announcement regarding the arrest in France of businessman Ermal Beqiri, who was internationally wanted over the AKSHI affair, SPAK also disclosed the assets worth millions of euros that he owns in France.

They include a castle in the Oise department, purchased for €2.6 million.

The property is located in the municipality of Berneuil-en-Bray, in the Oise department, approximately one hour from Paris. The complex is surrounded by a park and a protective fence, while its façades and roofs are listed as historic monuments under the protection of the French state.

The investigation also uncovered more than €2 million in bank accounts, two apartments and several motor vehicles. French authorities confirmed the information and identified several assets of criminal origin in France, including bank accounts with a total value of more than €2 million, two apartments and the castle purchased in Oise (60) for approximately €2.6 million.

SPAK announced that a request for mutual legal assistance had been sent to the French judicial authorities with the aim of seizing these assets and any other assets that may be uncovered as the investigation continues.

Ermal Beqiri was arrested on July 24, 2026, by French authorities after entering the restricted airspace above the Penly nuclear power plant in Seine-Maritime in a light aircraft. He was forced to land at Albert airfield in Somme.

According to an earlier statement by SPAK, the French court ruled that Beqiri should remain in pretrial detention pending proceedings related to his extradition to Albania.

More than €2 million in bank accounts, two apartments and several motor vehicles were also discovered belonging to Ermal Beqiri. He was arrested in France while flying an aircraft over a nuclear power plant.

In its official response, SPAK stressed that the uncovered assets would be seized.
