The leader of the Democratic Union for Integration, Ali Ahmeti, met with Bruno Ceka, a representative of the Albanian-American Organization for North Macedonia. Their talks focused on the current political situation in the country and the challenges facing Albanians.

In a Facebook post, Ahmeti said particular attention was paid to the stalled implementation of the Ohrid Agreement, infringements of the Law on the Use of the Albanian Language, and ensuring fair and adequate representation of Albanians in state institutions.

The discussion also addressed the need to accelerate North Macedonia’s integration into the European Union, which the two described as the country’s only strategic course. They also discussed the need to strengthen the enduring partnership with the United States of America.

The meeting also examined the impasse surrounding the administration of the bar examination. Ahmeti called for a swift solution, stressing that the issue directly affects many young professionals and that the relevant institutions must implement the existing legal framework.

The DUI leader described the meeting as useful. According to him, the talks were held in a spirit of cooperation and shared commitment to advancing the rights of Albanians, as well as accelerating North Macedonia’s path toward Europe.

Kreu i Bashkimit Demokratik për Integrim, Ali Ahmeti, është takuar me përfaqësuesin e Organizatës Shqiptaro-Amerikane për Maqedoninë e Veriut, Bruno Ceka. Në bisedë janë trajtuar situata aktuale politike në vend dhe vështirësitë me të cilat përballen shqiptarët.

Përmes një postimi në Facebook, Ahmeti bëri të ditur se vëmendje e veçantë iu kushtua ngecjes në zbatimin e Marrëveshjes së Ohrit, cenimit të Ligjit për Përdorimin e Gjuhës Shqipe dhe garantimit të përfaqësimit të drejtë e adekuat të shqiptarëve në institucionet shtetërore.

Pjesë e diskutimit ishte edhe nevoja për ta përshpejtuar integrimin e Maqedonisë së Veriut në Bashkimin Evropian, të cilin bashkëbiseduesit e konsideruan orientimin e vetëm strategjik të vendit. Ata folën gjithashtu për domosdoshmërinë e fuqizimit të partneritetit të qëndrueshëm me Shtetet e Bashkuara të Amerikës.

Gjatë takimit u shqyrtua edhe ngërçi që lidhet me dhënien e provimit të jurisprudencës. Ahmeti kërkoi zgjidhje sa më të shpejtë, duke nënvizuar se kjo çështje prek drejtpërdrejt shumë profesionistë të rinj dhe se institucionet kompetente duhet ta zbatojnë kuadrin ligjor ekzistues.

Takimi u vlerësua si i dobishëm nga kryetari i BDI-së. Sipas tij, biseda u zhvillua në frymën e bashkëpunimit dhe të përkushtimit të përbashkët për avancimin e të drejtave të shqiptarëve, si dhe për përshpejtimin e rrugëtimit evropian të Maqedonisë së Veriut.
