Besnik Xhemaili, a member of the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (SCPC), has been elected to the post of deputy chair of this institution, a duty he will perform for six months.

Chairman Adem Çuçulj announced that the selection was made according to the rotation principle, with the turn determined based on the alphabetical order of the SCPC members’ surnames.

Çuçulj explained that the mandate of the current deputy chair, Sofija Spasova Medarska, ends on August 18, while Besnik Xhemaili will start his new mandate on August 19 this year. The chairman’s proposal was approved by unanimous votes.

During today’s session, Çuçulj also announced that the Commission has identified 30 elected or appointed persons, or whose mandate ended in April, who have not met the legal deadline for submitting the declaration on assets and conflict of interest. According to him, criminal proceedings will be initiated against all these persons and fines will be imposed.

At the same session, the members of the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption approved 51 decisions for as many cases, submitted to the SCPC by identified or anonymous complainants./Telegrafi/

Besnik Xhemaili, anëtar i Komisionit Shtetëror për Parandalimin e Korrupsionit (KSHPK), është zgjedhur në postin e zëvendëskryetarit të këtij institucioni, detyrë të cilën do ta ushtrojë për gjashtë muaj.

Kryetari Adem Çuçulj bëri të ditur se përzgjedhja u realizua sipas parimit të rotacionit, ndërsa radha u caktua duke u bazuar në renditjen alfabetike të mbiemrave të anëtarëve të KSHPK-së.

Çuçulj sqaroi se mandati i zëvendëskryetares aktuale, Sofija Spasova Medarska, përfundon më 18 gusht, kurse Besnik Xhemaili do ta nisë mandatin e ri më 19 gusht të këtij viti. Propozimi i kryetarit u miratua me vota unanime.

Gjatë seancës së sotme, Çuçulj njoftoi gjithashtu se Komisioni ka evidentuar 30 persona të zgjedhur apo të emëruar, ose të cilëve u ka përfunduar mandati në prill, të cilët nuk e kanë respektuar afatin ligjor për dorëzimin e deklaratës mbi gjendjen pasurore dhe konfliktin e interesit. Sipas tij, ndaj të gjithë këtyre personave do të nisë ndjekje penale dhe do të shqiptohen gjoba.

Në të njëjtën seancë, anëtarët e Komisionit Shtetëror për Parandalimin e Korrupsionit miratuan 51 vendime për po aq raste, të paraqitura në KSHPK nga ankues të identifikuar ose anonimë./Telegrafi/
