Mimoza Kusari, chairwoman of Alternativa, which is in a coalition with the Vetëvendosje Movement, has called on all lawmakers to vote for Bekim Sejdiu’s candidacy for President of Kosovo.

In a Facebook post, she said that Prof. Dr. Bekim Sejdiu should receive support, as the country needs a President who represents the state beyond political clashes and divisions.

According to Kusari, Sejdiu is a figure who respects the Constitution, strengthens institutions and contributes to bringing citizens together.

“With his experience as a professor of law, former judge of the Constitutional Court, diplomat and Ambassador of Kosovo, Prof. Sejdiu brings integrity, professionalism and institutional experience.

At this moment, the election of the President must rise above party interests. It must be a choice for the Republic,” she wrote.

Përmes një postimi në Facebook, ajo ka vlerësuar se Prof. Dr. Bekim Sejdiu duhet të marrë mbështetje, pasi vendit i nevojitet një President që e përfaqëson shtetin përtej përplasjeve dhe ndarjeve partiake.

Sipas Kusarit, Sejdiu është një figurë që respekton Kushtetutën, fuqizon institucionet dhe kontribuon në bashkimin e qytetarëve.

“Me përvojën e tij si profesor i së drejtës, ish-gjyqtar i Gjykatës Kushtetuese, diplomat dhe Ambasador i Kosovës, Prof. Sejdiu sjell integritet, profesionalizëm dhe përvojë institucionale.

Në këtë moment, zgjedhja e Presidentit duhet të jetë mbi interesat partiake. Duhet të jetë zgjedhje për Republikën”, ka shkruar ajo.
