University professor Bashkim Ziberi was a guest on the PodGo show of Telegrafi Macedonia, where he spoke about the state of education in the country, the use of Artificial Intelligence in teaching, and the recently published PISA test results.

According to him, the PISA results for North Macedonia are not unexpected, but reflect the daily work in the education system. Ziberi assessed that the laws are good, while the main problem remains their implementation.

“The PISA results are expected, because they show the reality of our daily work. For two or three days they will be discussed, then forgotten and the debate will return to old topics, such as the lack of books and problems of the education system. This situation is a consequence of a system that continues to be built, while individual, clan and party interests intertwine in it. In documents we write everything, but we get stuck in implementation. Another problem is that with every change of power everything starts from scratch and there is a lack of continuity,” Ziberi stated.

Speaking about Artificial Intelligence in education, the professor stressed that teachers are not yet sufficiently prepared to face this challenge.

He emphasized that students should be guided to find themselves in their profession and understand that their opportunities are greater than what is presented to them by teachers. According to Ziberi, natural science subjects are taught in a very theoretical and dry manner, while more practical content is needed, especially since many schools lack laboratories.

“The teaching staff is not prepared to face students who use Artificial Intelligence. However, care must be taken to minimize the use of AI by pupils and students, while they should be encouraged more to learn and develop their skills,” Ziberi said./Telegrafi/

Profesori universitar Bashkim Ziberi ishte i ftuar në emisionin PodGo të Telegrafi Maqedoni, ku foli për gjendjen e arsimit në vend, përdorimin e Inteligjencës Artificiale në mësimdhënie dhe rezultatet e testimit PISA, të publikuara së fundmi.

Sipas tij, rezultatet e PISA-s për Maqedoninë e Veriut nuk janë të papritura, por pasqyrojnë punën e përditshme në sistemin arsimor. Ziberi vlerësoi se ligjet janë të mira, ndërsa problemi kryesor mbetet zbatimi i tyre.

“Rezultatet e PISA-s janë të pritshme, sepse ato tregojnë realitetin e punës sonë të përditshme. Për dy ose tri ditë do të diskutohen, më pas do të harrohen dhe debati do të rikthehet te temat e vjetra, si mungesa e librave dhe problemet e sistemit arsimor. Kjo situatë është pasojë e një sistemi që vazhdon të ndërtohet, ndërsa në të ndërthuren interesa individuale, klanore dhe partiake. Në dokumente shkruajmë gjithçka, por ngecim te zbatimi. Një problem tjetër është se me çdo ndryshim pushteti gjithçka nis nga e para dhe mungon vazhdimësia”, deklaroi Ziberi.

Duke folur për Inteligjencën Artificiale në arsim, profesori theksoi se mësimdhënësit nuk janë ende të përgatitur sa duhet për t’u përballur me këtë sfidë.

Ai nënvizoi se nxënësit duhet të orientohen për të gjetur veten në profesion dhe të kuptojnë se mundësitë e tyre janë më të mëdha nga sa u paraqiten nga mësimdhënësit. Sipas Ziberit, lëndët e shkencave të natyrës zhvillohen në mënyrë tepër teorike dhe të thatë, ndërsa nevojiten më shumë përmbajtje praktike, veçanërisht pasi në shumë shkolla mungojnë laboratorët.

“Stafi mësimor nuk është i përgatitur përballë nxënësve që përdorin Inteligjencën Artificiale. Megjithatë, duhet treguar kujdes që përdorimi i IA-së nga nxënësit dhe studentët të minimizohet, ndërsa ata duhet të nxiten më shumë të mësojnë dhe të zhvillojnë aftësitë e tyre”, u shpreh Ziberi./Telegrafi/
