Parliamentary group leader Taulant Balla spoke to reporters after meetings with the EU’s interparliamentary committee, where he was also asked about the wiretaps involving Ergys Agasi and Vlora Hyseni, the former director of SHISH.

Balla said that he does not comment on any justice case, while regarding his mention in the wiretaps, he added that he does not speak about people who have problems with the justice system, such as Ergys Agasi.

Balla: I am confident that SPAK will also investigate this dimension of the leaks of information that constitute the process of a fair and uninfluenced trial. As far as I know, there is a court decision declaring all those documents secret. The support for SPAK from the Socialist Party parliamentary group is unlimited.

In 13 years in power, after hundreds of appointments, there may be only a handful who have betrayed the trust. Let them face justice. First, our standard is the same as that of the Bundestag. We do not get involved in the merits of the case files or what is contained in them. I am telling you that this was not part of the discussions. Sali Berisha also held a special press conference; my son told me that he does not follow it. I do not comment on Berisha or on people who have problems with the justice system. Both Berisha and Agasi have problems with the justice system. I do not comment on the case files; justice must see through not only this case but all the case files.

Në 13 vite në pushtet pas qindra emërime, mund të ketë me gisht edhe që kanë shkelur besimin. Le të përballen me drejtësinë. E para, standardi ynë është i njëjtë me standardin e Bundestag. Nuk hyjmë në meritën e dosjeve dhe çfarë kanë dosjet. Këtë gjë po ua them nuk ka qenë pjesë e diskutimeve. Edhe Sali Berisha bëri konferencë të posaçme për shtyp, më tha djali se nuk e ndjek. Nuk komentoj as Berishën as persona që kanë persona që kanë probleme me drejtësinë. Edhe Berisha edhe Agasi kanë probleme me drejtësinë. Nuk komentoj dosjet, drejtësia t’i shkojë në fund jo vetëm kësaj por edhe gjithë dosjeve.

The chairman of the Socialist Party’s parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, took part in the “March for Freedom” held in Pristina.

After the event ended, he shared footage from the march and said that the people of Kosovo had declared Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi innocent.

The event began at 2:00 p.m. and lasted approximately one hour. At the conclusion, the organizers, party leaders and children of former KLA soldiers took the floor.

An Australian tourist was surprised when the Ministry of Health took up her case and turned it into national news in highly positive terms. The tourist, who found herself on Google, had not only not sought publicity, but received help only after speaking with the owner of the guesthouse, while she was unable to get through to the 112 emergency number.

It has become almost routine for Albania’s natural beauty—especially places where the hand of “strategic investors” has not yet reached—to be presented as an achievement of the government.

As if the mountains, rivers, sea and canyons were public works completed during the government’s terms in office, rather than the work of God.

These hot days, a female MP posted a video of a visit to a pensioner who, according to her, needed to do his grocery shopping. The MP had thought about the heat, too: she had brought him several cold beers. The camera, naturally, happened to enter the pensioner’s home entirely by chance, along with the beers.

I do not know whether anyone has been spared the annoyance of the famous inspections at construction sites where, according to the videos, work is always proceeding “at a rapid pace,” but it is impossible to understand why the road never gets finished.

What is gained from this unrestrained, ugly and by now extremely tiresome propaganda? Are fires in Albania extinguished by posting helicopters fighting flames in the United States? Does the emergency service work better when a tourist’s story is turned into propaganda? Does a road get completed faster if it is inspected ten times?

The audacity devoted to propaganda is now surpassing even the courage of the Good Soldier Švejk. In fact, Švejk’s courage was within acceptable parameters.

It is propaganda that has long been trying not only to beautify reality, but also to replace it.

But sometimes reality does not wait long to take revenge.

Just 24 hours after the interior minister and the tourism minister guaranteed maximum safety for tourists and holidaymakers in videos, two serious incidents followed in Sarandë and Ksamil.

It is interesting how the less work there is to show, the more propaganda increases.

It is worth recalling Chomsky’s saying: “Propaganda is to democracy what the bludgeon is to the totalitarian state.”

It is time for the government to remember that many of the problems it now presents as battles, construction sites or new challenges, it promised to solve during its first four years. It is now in its fourth term.

After so many years, #atthehelmofduty should show what work the government has done—not Nature!

Një turiste australiane habitet kur Ministria e Shëndetësisë e merr rastin e saj dhe e kthen në lajm kombëtar me tone shumë pozitive. Turistja, që e gjeti veten në Google, jo vetëm nuk kish kërkuar publicitet, por madje ndihma i erdhi pasi foli me pronarin e bujtinës, ndërkohë që nuk u mor dot vesh me numrin e urgjencës 112.

Është bërë pothuaj rutinë që bukuritë natyrore të Shqipërisë, sidomos ato ku ende nuk ka mbërritur dora e “investitorëve strategjikë”, të paraqiten si arritje të qeverisë.

A thua se malet, lumenjtë, deti dhe kanionet janë vepra publike të përfunduara në këto mandate të qeverisë dhe jo dorë e Perëndisë.

Një deputete postonte këto ditë të nxehta videon e vizitës te një pensionist, që sipas saj kishte nevojë për të bërë pazarin. Deputetja kishte menduar edhe për vapën: i kishte çuar disa birra të ftohta. Kamera, natyrisht, hyri krejt rastësisht, bashkë me birrat në shtëpinë e pensionistit.

Nuk di a ka mbetur kush pa u bezdisur nga inspektimet e famshme në kantieret ku, sipas videove, punohet gjithmonë “me ritme të larta”, por nuk kuptohet pse rruga nuk mbaron kurrë.

Çfarë fitohet nga kjo propagandë e shfrenuar, e shëmtuar dhe tashmë shumë bajate? A shuhen zjarret në Shqipëri duke postuar helikopterë që shuajnë flakët në SHBA? A funksionon më mirë urgjenca kur historia e një turisteje kthehet në propagande? A përfundon më shpejt një rrugë po ta inspektosh dhjetë herë?

Guximi për propagandë po ia kalon edhe guximit të ushtarit të mirë Shvejk. Në fakt guximi i Shvejkut, ishte brenda parametrave të pranueshëm.

Është një propagande që ka kohë që përpiqet jo vetëm të zbukurojë realitetin, por edhe ta zëvendësojë atë

Por ndonjëherë realiteti nuk pret gjatë për t’u hakmarrë.

Vetëm 24 orë pasi ministri i Brendshëm dhe ai i Turizmit garantonin në video siguri maksimale për turistët dhe pushuesit, në Sarandë e Ksamil, pasuan dy ngjarje të rënda.

Është interesant se sa më pak punë ka për të treguar, aq më shumë rritet propaganda

Nuk është e tepërt të kujtosh thënien e Chomskyt: “Propaganda është për demokracinë ajo që kërbaçi është për shtetin totalitar”.

Është koha që qeveria të kujtohet se shumë prej problemeve që sot i paraqet si beteja, kantiere apo sfida të reja premtoi t’i zgjidhte në katër vitet e para. Tani është në mandatin e katërt.

Pas kaq vitesh, #nëkrye të detyrës duhet të tregojë se çfarë punësh ka bërë qeveria dhe jo Natyra!

For 62 days, the country has been gripped by mass protests, during which Albanian citizens have demanded the non-negotiable resignation of Edi Rama.

Meanwhile, the governing majority is using various methods to downplay the protest, but it does not always manage to avoid mistakes.

One such case involves the head of the Socialist Party parliamentary group, Taulant Balla. In an attempt to show fewer protesters than those who fill “Dëshmorët e Kombit” Boulevard every day, he published an AI-altered photograph, while nevertheless leaving traces of the manipulation.

The image shows that, in addition to reducing the number of citizens present, the inscriptions on the banners held by the protesters were not corrected.

The texts displayed on them do not form meaningful words in the Albanian language. The mistake was also pointed out by commenters on Balla’s social media accounts.

The latest national protest is taking place today, with Albanians from the diaspora also set to participate.
