Vetëvendosje Movement MP Agim Bahtiri has reacted to a speech by Serb List MP Igor Simiq in the Assembly of Kosovo.

Bahtiri questioned the way Simiq presented the proposal for deputy speaker of the Assembly. According to him, the MP did not speak on behalf of the Serb List, but instead used the phrase “on behalf of the Serb people.”

“Only Vučić in Serbia can make a proposal ‘on behalf of the Serb people,’ not Igor Simiq in Kosovo!” Bahtiri wrote.

He stressed that all MPs in the Assembly of Kosovo are representatives of the Republic of Kosovo, describing Simiq’s statement as incompatible with the Constitution.

“In this Assembly, we are all MPs of the Republic of Kosovo. This gesture of his is unconstitutional,” Bahtiri declared.

The Vetëvendosje MP called on the justice and investigative authorities to analyze Simiq’s statement, as well as the circumstances in which it was made.

“As an MP, I call on the investigative and justice authorities to assess this statement and the context in which it was made. The law must be equal for everyone,” Bahtiri concluded.

Deputeti i Lëvizjes Vetëvendosje, Agim Bahtiri, ka reaguar ndaj fjalimit të deputetit të Listës Serbe, Igor Simiq, në Kuvendin e Kosovës.

Bahtiri ka vënë në pikëpyetje mënyrën se si Simiqi e ka paraqitur propozimin për nënkryetar të Kuvendit. Sipas tij, deputeti nuk foli në emër të Listës Serbe, por përdori shprehjen “në emër të popullit serb”.

“‘Në emër të popullit serb’ mund të propozojë vetëm Vuçiqi në Serbi, e jo Igor Simiqi në Kosovë!”, ka shkruar Bahtiri.

Ai ka theksuar se të gjithë deputetët në Kuvendin e Kosovës janë përfaqësues të Republikës së Kosovës, ndërsa deklarimin e Simiqit e ka cilësuar si të papajtueshëm me Kushtetutën.

“Në këtë Kuvend jemi të gjithë deputetë të Republikës së Kosovës. Ky gjest i tij është antikushtetues”, ka deklaruar Bahtiri.

Deputeti i Vetëvendosjes u ka bërë thirrje organeve të drejtësisë dhe hetuesisë që të analizojnë deklaratën e Simiqit, si dhe rrethanat në të cilat ajo është bërë.

“Si deputet, kërkoj nga organet e hetuesisë dhe drejtësisë që ta vlerësojnë këtë deklarim dhe kontekstin në të cilin është bërë. Ligji duhet të jetë i barabartë për të gjithë”, ka përfunduar Bahtiri.

Agim Bahtiri, an MP from the Vetëvendosje Movement, has criticized Alliance MP Time Kadrijaj after she threw eggs at his party leader, Albin Kurti.

In a statement to KosovaPress, Bahtiri said such behavior was unbecoming of someone who had fought for the country’s freedom.

“Listen, it is regrettable. A doctor, a woman who fought, to have come to this point—I cannot understand it. But we have always been the ones who understand everything. Violence is truly absurd, especially when it comes from people who say they have done a great deal for the country,” Bahtiri stated.

When asked whether similar actions previously carried out by the Vetëvendosje Movement in the Assembly could also be considered violence, he said that, in his view, they had been undertaken for a different cause.

“The Vetëvendosje Movement took action because it had a cause. My colleague’s behavior a few days ago is not a cause; it is not a cause, because there is no such cause involving something harmful to the state of the Republic of Kosovo. At that time, there was an exceptionally important cause because Kosovo was facing partition. And when it comes to the partition of Kosovo, no means are ruled out in defending it. Now, however, we have no such cause. Our cause is to bring all MPs together and stand up for the country from one end to the other,” Bahtiri said.

According to Bahtiri, the use of violence is always wrong; however, he argued that the reason behind such an action should also be considered.

“The act is always wrong when someone behaves violently, but taking into account the reason why it happened is another matter. For example, today cannot be compared with those days, when 17 percent of the territory was up for sale. One must consider what the situation was like then and what it is like today. Today, we have extended sovereignty across the entire territory of the Republic of Kosovo, and we are maintaining and increasing the presence of state institutions throughout the country. And what I have just described is a cause for them to tear all that down and bring Radoičić back to Kosovo. Then let them say that they want to bring Radoičić back to Kosovo and that this is why we are causing such problems. Therefore, it is not an equal comparison,” Bahtiri stated.

Agim Bahtiri, deputet i Lëvizjes Vetëvendosje, ka reaguar me kritika ndaj deputetes së Aleancës, Time Kadrijaj, pasi ajo sulmoi me vezë liderin e partisë së tij, Albin Kurtin.

Në një deklaratë për KosovaPress, Bahtiri u shpreh se një sjellje e tillë nuk i shkon një personi që ka luftuar për lirinë e vendit.

“Dëgjo, është për të ardhur keq. Një mjeke, një grua që ka luftuar të vijë në këtë gjendje, se s’po mund me e kuptuar. Por ne kemi qenë çdo herë ata të cilët i kuptojmë të gjitha. Pjesa e dhunës është me të vërtetë absurde, e sidomos prej atyre njerëzve të cilët thonë që kanë bërë shumë për vendin”, deklaroi Bahtiri.

Kur u pyet nëse veprimet e ngjashme që Lëvizja Vetëvendosje kishte kryer më herët në Kuvend mund të konsideroheshin gjithashtu dhunë, ai tha se, sipas tij, ato ishin ndërmarrë për një kauzë tjetër.

“Lëvizja Vetëvendosje e ka pasur një veprim për arsye se ka pasur kauzën. Nuk është kauzë, nuk është kauzë sjellja e koleges sime para disa ditësh, se s’ka një kauzë të tillë që është keq për shtetin e Republikës së Kosovës. Në atë kohë ka qenë një kauzë jashtëzakonisht e madhe, sepse ka pasur ndarje të Kosovës. Dhe për ndarjen e Kosovës nuk këqyren mjetet për të mbrojtur atë. E tani nuk kemi kauzë. Ne kemi kauzë për t’i bërë të gjithë deputetët të përbashkët, të dalim zot vendit cep më cep”, tha Bahtiri.

Sipas Bahtirit, përdorimi i dhunës është gjithmonë i gabuar, megjithatë ai vlerësoi se duhet shqyrtuar edhe arsyeja që qëndron pas një veprimi të tillë.

“Veprimi është çdo herë i keq, ai që sillet në mënyrë të dhunshme, por duke e pasur për bazë arsyen pse, është diçka tjetër. Për shembull, nuk mundet me u marrë krahasim dita e sotit me ditët e atëhershme, kur 17 për qind e territorit ishte në shitje. Dhe duhet njeriu me menduar se si ka qenë situata atëherë e si është sot. Ne sot e kemi shtrirë sovranitetin në gjithë territorin e Republikës së Kosovës, jemi duke e mbajtur dhe duke e shtuar praninë e organeve shtetërore cep më cep të vendit. Dhe kjo çka thashë është kauzë për t’i rrënuar ato dhe për të prurë Radoiçiqin përsëri në Kosovë. Atëherë le të tregojnë se po duan me na e prurë Radoiçiqin në Kosovë e ne po shkaktojmë probleme të tilla. Kështu që është një krahasim jo i barabartë”, deklaroi Bahtiri.
