The konsumatori.rks-gov.net website has been hit by a cyberattack, the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation announced.

The ministry said that the incident was recorded only a few minutes before the information was made public.

“We inform you that a few minutes ago, the konsumatori.rks-gov.net website was the target of a cyberattack,” the announcement said.

Until the website is restored and fully operational, citizens can send their requests and complaints to the email address [email protected] or via Viber at +383 (0) 46 311-000.

Thanking citizens for their understanding, the ministry stated that during this period it would continue to be at their service.

The Special Prosecution Office has asked the Basic Court in Pristina to order pre-trial detention for Igor Marković, who was arrested in Zvečan on Sunday on suspicion of participating in the violent attacks against KFOR personnel and Kosovo Police officers during the 2023 unrest.

The arrest was carried out as part of a police operation conducted in Zvečan by investigators from the Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Serious Crimes, the Special Prosecution Office announced.

Immediately after he was detained, the prosecution submitted a request to the Basic Court in Pristina for him to be remanded in custody.

Marković is suspected of involvement in criminal acts related to the violent clashes in the north of the country in 2023, during which KFOR personnel and Kosovo Police officers were attacked.

The Special Prosecution Office announced that legal proceedings against the suspect are continuing following his arrest.

In its statement, the Special Prosecution Office also released official footage of the operation and the moment Igor Marković was arrested.

The Basic Court in Pristina is expected to rule on the request for pre-trial detention. Until a final court decision is issued, the suspect is presumed innocent.

At the Basic Court of Pristina, a hearing was held today for Jovan and Dragisha Viqentijeviq, who face charges of participating in the terrorist attack that struck the Ibër-Lepenc canal in November 2023.

At Wednesday’s hearing, witness Ernest Kerqeli, director of the Water and Generation Department, testified about the events after the explosion. He stated that police units, KFOR, and company employees had quickly arrived at the incident site, and that damage repairs were allowed only after approval from investigators.

During questioning by the presiding judge, Vesel Ismaili, Kerqeli affirmed that he had not noticed any sign of explosion or the presence of persons in that area.

When asked about the consequences that would have resulted without immediate intervention, witness Kerqeli warned that the consequences for Kosovo’s citizens and infrastructure would have been extraordinary. He explained that the lack of electricity, telephone services, heating, and water would have been evident, greatly impacting Pristina and the areas supplied by Termokos, as well as the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (QKUK). According to him, the immediate shutdown of Thermal Power Plant B would have caused severe infrastructural damage, costing millions of euros per day, an amount that would increase for every 24 hours of delay.

After the incident last night in the studio of Teve 1, where the debate was interrupted due to tensions with analyst Nexhmedin Spahiu, economics expert Mustafë Kadriaj has issued a public reaction.

The conflict erupted during the discussion when Kadriaj referred to Spahiu with the terms “pseudo-Yugoslav remnant,” prompting the political science professor to demand an explanation for the insult. The atmosphere worsened after Kadriaj told him, “What’s your problem, why are you opening your mouth,” which escalated the situation and led to the broadcast being cut off.

In his subsequent statement, Kadriaj expressed regret for his actions, admitting he had reacted impulsively. “It is human to apologize to the public for my behavior, and I am ready, if requested, to apologize to Albanians everywhere, wherever they are. Without doubt, my reaction was in the heat of the moment, and I regret it,” he wrote.

However, he justified his behavior by emphasizing that he was provoked by Spahiu’s remarks about former president Hashim Thaçi, whom Kadriaj believes is being unjustly tried in The Hague. “But to insult a figure like Hashim Thaçi, who, with all the flaws he may have as a person, has proven his patriotic side and for this is unfairly facing trial in The Hague, was unacceptable to me,” he added.

On 21.07.2026, at 12:57, it was reported that the Kosovo Metropolitan Church had been attacked with bricks. Kosovo Police have launched an investigation to identify the individuals suspected of carrying out the attack.

The incident was recorded one day after Archbishop Nikoll Xhufka spoke on Klan Kosova about the registration of Albanian Orthodox believers.

Hoda said that investigative work to identify those who threw bricks at the Kosovo Metropolitan Church was still ongoing. According to him, the attack followed public statements made by Archbishop Nikoll Xhufka on “Kosova Today.”

He added that a day earlier, Xhufka had spoken about the registration of Albanian Orthodox believers with the Orthodox Church and the Kosovo Metropolitan Church, an issue that had led to several conflicts. However, Hoda stressed that it was still not known who had carried out the attack.

In a statement published on 21.07.2026 at 12:58, Archbishop Nikoll Xhufka said that the incident had occurred at around 03:00 in the morning. He emphasized that this was not the first time they had faced incidents of this nature.

Xhufka said that after waking up and stepping outside the building where he lives, he initially did not think it was anything serious. Only after seeing the windows and the bricks did he realize that someone had tried to break the glass.

The Archbishop described experiencing such incidents in this day and age as painful and said that such an act was not normal. He said the police had been notified and appealed for help from God and the relevant institutions, reiterating that this was not the first such incident.

According to Xhufka, the violence occurred just one day after it was made public that Albanian Orthodox believers now have their own Church. He said that, apparently, identifying as Orthodox in Kosovo poses a risk.

German diplomatic representative in Pristina, Rainer Rudolph, has reiterated that Berlin demands accountability from those responsible for the armed attack in Banjska in September 2023.

In a statement about Milan Radoicic, the organizer of the attack, Rudolph stressed that Germany has condemned the case in the strongest terms and does not relent on the demand that the perpetrators be brought to justice.

“We condemned the attack in the harshest terms and stand by that. We have insisted that the perpetrators face consequences. I am aware that Kosovo has activated an international arrest warrant. This must be enforced,” the ambassador said.

Asked whether Radoicic would be extradited to Kosovo if he entered German soil, Rudolph confirmed that he would be handcuffed. “Of course he would be detained,” he replied during a television interview.

Despite having claimed responsibility for the operation in Banjska, in which police sergeant Afrim Bunjaku lost his life and two colleagues were wounded, Radoicic continues to move freely in Serbia, with an official address in Belgrade. Serbian authorities have still not initiated any criminal proceedings against him.

The International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) has issued an international arrest warrant for him, at Kosovo’s initiative and through the United Nations Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK).

The Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo has filed an indictment for the Banjska incident, including Milan Radoicic among 45 individuals, who is described as “the head of the terrorist formation”.

In this context, the Basic Court in Pristina this year handed down sentences for three individuals: two of them were sentenced to life imprisonment, while another to 30 years in prison.

The remaining defendants are at large, and Kosovo institutions have issued warrants for their capture through INTERPOL. Pristina has repeatedly asked Belgrade for the extradition of Radoicic so that he can appear in court. At the time of the attack, Radoicic was deputy head of the Serbian List, the main political party of Kosovo Serbs, which enjoys Belgrade’s support.

The Special Court has granted the defence’s request to summon and question former MP Halit Valteri as a witness in the trial against Amar Shkëmbi and Bledar Polovina.

The two defendants are accused by SPAK of involvement in the attack at the Shkozet overpass, where former prosecutor Arjan Ndoj was the target and was himself injured.

Andi Maloku, who was driving the vehicle and served as the former prosecutor’s driver, was killed in the attack, while Arjan Ndoj and Aleksandër Laho were injured.
