Tirana Police have arrested a 40-year-old man after he was caught carrying a firearm and combat ammunition. The checks were carried out in the Dry Lake area by officers from the Operational Sector, in cooperation with the “Shqiponja” Special Force and Police Station No. 1.

During the inspection of the vehicle driven by the citizen identified by the initials G. K., 40, police officers found a pistol and a magazine containing combat ammunition.

The firearm and ammunition were seized as material evidence, while the 40-year-old was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense of “Illegal possession and manufacture of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition.”
