Artan Abrashi, a deputy from the Vetëvendosje Movement, said that the agreement reached with the LDK regarding the president remains valid for his party. He described the opposition of six LDK deputies as unexpected, saying that such a development should not have occurred at this stage.

According to Abrashi, the LDK deputies’ refusal has created an unfavorable situation and, despite LVV’s willingness to compromise, the country risks entering a cycle of problems that could lead to unnecessary elections.

He said he expects a future meeting between Albin Kurti and Lumir Abdixhiku to clarify the situation and pave the way for an agreement that would avert elections. The meeting, however, has not yet been scheduled and there is nothing concrete regarding its date, although, according to Abrashi, there is a willingness to hold it.

“For LVV, the agreement reached by our chairmen and approved by the two leaderships of the political parties is still valid. What happened was unexpected, and the refusal of the six LDK deputies should not have occurred at this stage. We regret it, but we must continue consultations and make maximum efforts to unblock the situation. I welcome the next meeting between the two leaders, whenever it is held, as further clarification and, possibly, a solution are needed. The meeting has not yet been scheduled, but we must believe and hope that a way out will be found, even though at the moment it is not clear what that way will be,” Abrashi said.

Asked whether LVV was in contact with deputies from other parties to secure the votes needed for the president, Abrashi replied that such communication is ongoing.

“We are constantly in contact with our colleagues from other parties. In unofficial communications, no one wants this situation, while officially and publicly everyone declares themselves in favor of the crisis,” he said.

Regarding the PDK and AAK request to convene the constitutive session, Abrashi reiterated LVV’s position that the procedures cannot continue until the issue of the president has first been resolved.

Artan Abrashi, deputet i Lëvizjes Vetëvendosje, deklaroi se marrëveshja e arritur me LDK-në për presidentin vazhdon të jetë valide për partinë e tij. Ai e cilësoi të papritur kundërshtimin e gjashtë deputetëve të LDK-së, duke thënë se një zhvillim i tillë nuk duhej të ndodhte në këtë fazë.

Sipas Abrashit, refuzimi i deputetëve të LDK-së ka krijuar një situatë të pafavorshme dhe, pavarësisht gatishmërisë së LVV-së për kompromis, vendi rrezikon të hyjë në një cikël problemesh që mund të çojë drejt zgjedhjeve të panevojshme.

Ai tha se pret që një takim i ardhshëm ndërmjet Albin Kurtit dhe Lumir Abdixhikut ta qartësojë gjendjen dhe të hapë rrugë për një marrëveshje që do t’i shmangte zgjedhjet. Takimi, megjithatë, ende nuk është caktuar dhe nuk ka asgjë konkrete lidhur me datën e tij, ndonëse, sipas Abrashit, ekziston vullneti për zhvillimin e tij.

“Për LVV-në marrëveshja e arritur nga kryetarët tanë dhe e miratuar nga dy kryesitë e partive politike është ende valide. Takimi ende nuk është caktuar, por ne duhet të besojmë dhe të shpresojmë se do të gjendet një rrugëdalje, edhe pse për momentin nuk është e qartë se cila do të jetë ajo”, tha Abrashi.

I pyetur nëse LVV-ja po zhvillon kontakte me deputetë të partive të tjera për të siguruar votat e nevojshme për presidentin, Abrashi u përgjigj se këto komunikime zhvillohen në mënyrë të vazhdueshme.

“Ne jemi vazhdimisht në kontakt me kolegët tanë nga partitë e tjera. Në komunikimet jopublike, askush nuk e dëshiron këtë situatë, ndërsa zyrtarisht dhe publikisht të gjithë deklarohen pro krizës”, tha ai.

Sa i përket kërkesës së PDK-së dhe AAK-së për thirrjen e seancës konstituive, Abrashi përsëriti qëndrimin e LVV-së se procedurat nuk mund të vazhdojnë pa u zgjidhur më parë çështja e presidentit.
