The protest outside Parliament has continued amid tensions, with citizens surrounding the Parliament building and demanding political change and Edi Rama’s resignation.

At the same time, Democratic Party MPs have arrived at Parliament to attend the plenary session. Meanwhile, DP leader Sali Berisha has called for Parliament to be dissolved.

Berisha said that, in his view, the only decision Parliament can make is to dissolve itself.

“We demand the self-dissolution and disbandment of Parliament. This is the only right decision Parliament can make today,” Berisha said.

Meanwhile, the citizens’ protest continues outside the building, while the State Police have imposed tight security measures, with metal barriers and large numbers of police and National Security Force personnel on standby.
