The security measure “Arrest in prison” has been executed for the 2 suspected perpetrators of the murder of a 45-year-old man in January 2026 in Shijak.

Specialists from the Serious Crimes Investigation Section of the Durrës Local Police Directorate executed the security measure “Arrest in prison,” ordered by the Durrës Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction, for the criminal offenses of “Intentional murder,” committed in cooperation, and “Illegal possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition,” against the citizens:

-I. F., 38 years old, and D. F., 36 years old (cousins), both residents of Shijak.

These citizens had been declared wanted because, according to the investigation, on 27.01.2026, in the city of Shijak, they clashed for weak motives with citizen D. Ç., 45 years old, and shot him with a firearm. Due to his injuries, the 45-year-old died a few days later in hospital.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution Office at the Durrës Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction for further action.
