Once again this Sunday, MPs from the PDK and the Alliance found the doors to the Kosovo Assembly chamber closed.

They called for the constitutive session to be convened as soon as possible so that, as they stated, the institutions of the Republic could be constituted.

Arian Tahiri of the PDK said the session could resume and the Assembly could become operational within the 48-hour deadline stipulated in the Assembly’s rules of procedure.

Meanwhile, Alliance MP Besnik Tahiri said that their duty as representatives elected by the people of Kosovo was not limited to protecting the Constitution.

For several days, the PDK and the Alliance have been calling on the party that came first in the June 7 elections to convene the constitutive session.

Edhe këtë të diel, deputetët e PDK-së dhe të Aleancës hasën të mbyllura dyert e sallës së Kuvendit të Kosovës.

Ata kërkuan që seanca konstituive të thirret sa më parë, në mënyrë që, siç deklaruan, të mundësohet konstituimi i institucioneve të Republikës.

Arian Tahiri nga PDK-ja tha se vazhdimi i seancës dhe funksionalizimi i Kuvendit mund të bëhen brenda afatit 48-orësh të përcaktuar në rregulloren e punës së Kuvendit.

Nga ana tjetër, deputeti i Aleancës, Besnik Tahiri, deklaroi se detyra e tyre si përfaqësues të zgjedhur nga populli i Kosovës është jo vetëm mbrojtja e Kushtetutës.

Prej disa ditësh, PDK-ja dhe Aleanca po i kërkojnë partisë që doli e para në zgjedhjet e 7 qershorit ta thërrasë seancën konstituive.

PDK MP Arian Tahiri has expressed regret over today’s developments in the Assembly of Kosovo, accusing the Vetëvendosje Movement of abusing the parliamentary institution.

According to Tahiri, the way events are unfolding constitutes irresponsibility not only at the institutional level, but also toward the lives of citizens.

“It is painful to see how the most important institution is being misused. The scenarios may change, but the objective remains the same: undermining and violating the constitutional order. We know that LVV and Kurti have the necessary votes to elect the Speaker of the Assembly. Citizens voted for the institutions to become operational. What is happening in the Assembly shows a complete lack of responsibility and, at the same time, constitutes irresponsibility toward the lives of citizens,” he declared.

The constitutive session of the Assembly of Kosovo has once again been suspended.

The suspension came after VV leader Albin Kurti requested more time to nominate a candidate for Speaker of the Assembly. Kurti explained that the request was related to the lack of a political agreement.

“My communication and meetings, in my capacity as acting prime minister and leader of the winning political entity, the Vetëvendosje Movement, with the leaders of the other parliamentary parties have continued. We have still not reached a political agreement, so I ask you for additional time to avoid new elections,” Kurti said.

Following his request, Alliance MP Time Kadrijaj threw an egg at VV leader Albin Kurti. Because of the incident, presiding officer Dehari asked Assembly security to enter the hall.

Deputeti i PDK-së, Arian Tahiri, ka reaguar me keqardhje për zhvillimet e sotme në Kuvendin e Kosovës, duke e akuzuar Lëvizjen Vetëvendosje për abuzim me institucionin parlamentar.

Sipas Tahirit, mënyra se si po zhvillohen ngjarjet përbën papërgjegjësi jo vetëm institucionale, por edhe ndaj jetës së qytetarëve.

“Është e dhimbshme të shohësh se si po keqpërdoret institucioni më i rëndësishëm. Skenarët mund të ndryshojnë, por synimi mbetet i njëjtë: cenimi dhe shkelja e rendit kushtetues. Ne e dimë se LVV-ja dhe Kurti i kanë votat e nevojshme për ta zgjedhur kryetarin e Kuvendit. Qytetarët kanë votuar që institucionet të funksionalizohen. Ajo që po ndodh në Kuvend tregon mungesë të plotë përgjegjësie dhe, në të njëjtën kohë, është papërgjegjësi ndaj jetës së qytetarëve”, ka deklaruar ai.

Seanca konstituive e Kuvendit të Kosovës është ndërprerë sërish.

Ndërprerja erdhi pasi kryetari i VV-së, Albin Kurti, kërkoi më shumë kohë për të propozuar kandidatin për kryetar të Kuvendit. Kurti sqaroi se kërkesa lidhet me mungesën e një marrëveshjeje politike.

“Komunikimi dhe takimet e mia, në cilësinë e kryeministrit në detyrë dhe të kryetarit të subjektit fitues, Lëvizjes Vetëvendosje, me drejtuesit e partive të tjera parlamentare kanë vijuar. Ende nuk kemi arritur marrëveshje politike, ndaj ju kërkoj kohë shtesë për të shmangur zgjedhjet e reja”, tha Kurti.

Pas kërkesës së tij, deputetja e Aleancës, Time Kadrijaj, e qëlloi me vezë kryetarin e VV-së, Albin Kurtin. Për shkak të incidentit, kryesuesi Dehari kërkoi që në sallë të hynte sigurimi i Kuvendit.
