An anti-drug operation was finalized last night (31 August) in Devoll, resulting in the arrest of two young men suspected of transporting narcotics.

Police sources said that, as part of the operation, H.C., 28, and Sh.D., 27, were arrested while transporting narcotics by car. The incident was recorded on a secondary road connecting a village to the Korçë-Bilisht road.

According to police, shortly before they were stopped, a bag containing suspected cannabis sativa was thrown from the vehicle.

Searches continued at the young men’s homes, where suspected seeds of the narcotic plant were found at the home of 28-year-old H.C.

The two young men are charged with the criminal offense of “Production and sale of narcotics,” committed in cooperation. Meanwhile, investigations are continuing into other people involved in this activity.
