Activist Andi Tepelena said that protests against the government would continue and that there was no turning back from this civic movement. “There is not a single Albanian who is not talking about the protest today,” Tepelena said.

He accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of censoring activists’ pages, interpreting this as a sign of panic over the scale the protests have reached.

According to him, the protests will not stop, while he announced broad mobilization on two designated days of nationwide protests.

“The fact that the prime minister has censored activists’ pages shows he is in a state of total panic. Rama attacks where he knows he is most vulnerable. There is no turning back from the protest. Two days of nationwide protests have been announced,” Andi Tepelena told News24.

Tepelena also spoke about the detained protesters, calling on the court to release them.

“Fakti që kryeministri ka censuarar faqet e aktivistëve është në panik total. Rama sulmon aty ku e di që e ka pikën e tij më të dobët. Protesta nuk ka kthim prapa. Janë paralajmëruar dy ditë për protesta kombëtare”, tha Andi Tepelena për News24.

Tepelena foli gjithashtu për protestuesit e ndaluar, duke kërkuar lirimin e tyre nga Gjykata.

“Sa i përket arritjeve të protestës, u vra frika e protestës, pak kohë më parë nuk protestohej për asgjë. U rizgjua shoqëria. Deri para një muaji të flisje me Ramën ishte i plotfuqishëm, ishte një ‘BabaZot’, ishte i plotfuqishëm sepse kishte hapur të gjithë hallkat. Sot është i diskretituar në sytë e shqiptarëve pasi të majtë e të djathtë vijnë çdo ditë në shesh, ndërsa mediat botërore hapen me tituj për atë që po ndodh në Shqipëri dhe korrupsionin e qeverisë.

Situata është tensionuar ishim ulur në mënyrë paqësorë. Por ata ministrat donin të hanin bukë i kishte kapur uria dhe ndërsynë policinë ndaj nesh. Është turp që në krye të Parlamentit janë një llum si ata. Jemi qytetarët më paqësore. Jemi Proevropiane e properëndimore. Nuk duhet të biem në provokimet e Taulant Ballës.

Ne distancohemi nga çdo lloj dhune. Policia duhet të bashkohej me popullin shqiptar. Këtë e kam edhe për SPAK-un. Boll është boll! Mjaft është mjaft! Populli ka dalë për drejtësi! S’ka dalë për të bërë dhunë ndaj institucioneve! Paguhen nga taksat e shqiptarëve”, tha ai.
