The Secretary-General of the Freedom Party, Tedi Blushi, has responded to a video message from Prime Minister Edi Rama, in which Rama said that there was no decision or signature linking him to a violation of the law.

Blushi disputes this position, citing two cases that, he says, show otherwise: the bonus awarded to “Integrated Energy BV” and the concession procedure for the Elbasan incinerator.

In his response, he accuses the prime minister of irresponsibility and arrogance, describing him as the head of a criminal organization that, according to Blushi, has taken control of the entire state.

Blushi claims that on December 7, 2016, Edi Rama signed off on an 8% points bonus for “Integrated Energy BV sh.p.k.” as part of the competitive procedure to build the Tirana incinerator.

Blushi emphasizes that the company did not exist when the bonus was signed, claiming that the decision gave it an advantage in the incinerator tender.

“In violation of every law in force, on December 7, 2016, Edi Rama signed off on an 8% points bonus for Integrated Energy BV sh.p.k. in the competitive procedure to build the Tirana incinerator. In fact, however, this company did not exist when the prime minister signed the bonus that favored it in the competitive procedure,” he said.

The second case cited by the Freedom Party’s secretary-general concerns the Elbasan incinerator. He claims that the prime minister approved negotiations without publication of the concession contract to build the incinerator, even though the responsible institutions had been informed that the procedure was unlawful.

Blushi says Edi Rama acted in violation of the law “On Concessions and Public-Private Partnerships” by signing off on the negotiation-without-publication procedure for the Elbasan incinerator concession contract.

He adds that the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Ëngjëll Agaçi, had been officially notified by the Director of the Public Procurement Agency, Mr. Eduard Ahmeti, that the method chosen to award the concession was illegal.

At the end of his response, Blushi says people should not wait for the prime minister to resign or voluntarily relinquish power. He accompanies the statement with serious accusations and calls for Rama to be removed.

“Today, Edi Rama proved not only his clinical record, but also the irresponsibility of a kleptomaniac and the arrogance of a bandit who cold-bloodedly leads the criminal organization that has taken the entire state hostage,” Blushi writes.

“This shameless liar, who challenged everyone today by claiming that no decision or signature of his violated the law, has two fingerprints right here, screaming in broad daylight,” he continues.

“No one should tire themselves waiting for his resignation, nor wear themselves out calling for him to voluntarily relinquish power.

No thief steals only to hand the loot over to the police later.

No bandit consciously stops their own criminal activity.

Getting rid of him, and only getting rid of him, is the sole solution Albanians must take into their own hands!
