On the 93rd anniversary of Hasan Prishtina’s assassination, the Acting President of the Republic of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, honored his memory, describing him as one of the figures who shaped the political direction of the Albanian national movement in the early 20th century.

Haxhiu recalled Hasan Prishtina’s statement in the Ottoman Parliament in December 1910: “I am ready to give my life for this homeland at any time.” He spoke these words while opposing violence against Albanians, repression in Kosovo, and the closure of Albanian-language schools.

As she noted, two years later Hasan Prishtina led the 1912 Uprising, through which Albanian demands were transformed into a political program and concrete action.

According to Haxhiu, in the period after 1912, the bulk of Hasan Prishtina’s efforts was devoted to Kosovo and the Albanians who remained beyond the borders of the Albanian state.

Acting President Haxhiu emphasized that Hasan Prishtina was among the leaders of the Committee for the “National Defense of Kosovo” and that Kosovo remained at the center of his political activities even when he assumed senior responsibilities in Albania. She recalled that Hasan Prishtina was killed in Thessaloniki on August 13, 1933, by Ibrahim Çelo, leaving behind more than two decades of political efforts for Kosovo and the rights of Albanians.

Në 93-vjetorin e vrasjes së Hasan Prishtinës, Ushtruesja e Detyrës së Presidentes së Republikës së Kosovës, Albulena Haxhiu, nderoi kujtimin e tij, duke e përshkruar si një nga personalitetet që përcaktuan orientimin politik të lëvizjes kombëtare shqiptare në fillim të shekullit XX.

Haxhiu solli në vëmendje deklaratën e Hasan Prishtinës në Parlamentin Osman, në dhjetor të vitit 1910: “Unë jam gati të jap në çdo kohë jetën time për këtë atdhe”. Këto fjalë ai i kishte shqiptuar ndërsa kundërshtonte dhunën ndaj shqiptarëve, represionin në Kosovë dhe mbylljen e shkollave shqipe.

Siç u shpreh ajo, pas dy vjetësh Hasan Prishtina udhëhoqi Kryengritjen e vitit 1912, përmes së cilës kërkesat shqiptare u shndërruan në program politik dhe veprim konkret.

Sipas Haxhiut, në periudhën pas vitit 1912, pjesa dërrmuese e angazhimit të Hasan Prishtinës iu kushtua Kosovës dhe shqiptarëve të mbetur përtej kufijve të shtetit shqiptar.

U.D. Presidentja Haxhiu theksoi se Hasan Prishtina ishte mes udhëheqësve të Komitetit “Mbrojtja Kombëtare e Kosovës” dhe se Kosova vazhdoi të ishte në qendër të veprimtarisë së tij politike edhe kur ai mori përgjegjësi të larta në Shqipëri. Ajo kujtoi se Hasan Prishtina u vra më 13 gusht 1933 në Selanik nga Ibrahim Çelo, duke lënë pas më shumë se dy dekada përpjekjesh politike për Kosovën dhe të drejtat e shqiptarëve.

Under the slogan “Reflect – Today, Tomorrow, the Day After Tomorrow,” the 16th edition of the “Green Fest” festival kicked off in Mitrovica this Wednesday.

The festival will continue until August 16, with urban biodiversity taking center stage at this year’s edition. The program also aims to encourage reflection on how the environment is treated, featuring various activities including kayaking, exhibitions and concerts.

Dozens of citizens attended the opening ceremony, which was also attended by political figures.

Among the participants was Acting President Albulena Haxhiu. In her opening remarks, she said that before Mitrovica became known as the city of miners, it had also been a city of crossroads.

Haxhiu said she was pleased to be at “Green Fest,” specifically in Mitrovica, which is known by many as the city of miners. She stressed that before it acquired this identity, the city served as a meeting place, where the Ibër and Sitnica rivers converge, where trade routes intersected and, later, where railway lines connected Mitrovica with many other places.

According to her, the establishment of Trepça brought miners, engineers and families to the city from different parts of Kosovo, as well as from farther afield. Haxhiu said they brought their languages, customs, music and experiences with them.

The festival’s director, Lulzim Hoti, described the slogan of this year’s edition as somewhat provocative, but necessary at the same time.

“Green Fest” continues to enjoy strong public support, which is why there is interest in attending the festival every year.

Nën sloganin “Reflekto – Sot, Nesër, Masnesër”, këtë të mërkurë në Mitrovicë ka filluar edicioni i 16-të i festivalit “Green Fest”.

Festivali do të vazhdojë deri më 16 gusht, ndërsa në qendër të këtij edicioni do të jetë biodiversiteti në qytet. Përmes programit synohet gjithashtu të nxitet reflektimi për mënyrën e trajtimit të ambientit, me aktivitete të ndryshme që përfshijnë kajak, ekspozita dhe koncerte.

Dhjetëra qytetarë morën pjesë në ceremoninë hapëse, ku të pranishme ishin edhe figura nga politika.

Mes pjesëmarrësve ishte ushtruesja e detyrës së presidentes, Albulena Haxhiu. Në fjalën e saj në hapje, ajo deklaroi se Mitrovica, përpara se të njihej si qytet i minatorëve, kishte qenë edhe një qytet pikëtakimesh.

Haxhiu u shpreh e kënaqur që ndodhej në “Green Fest”, pikërisht në Mitrovicë, e cila nga shumëkush njihet si qyteti i minatorëve. Ajo theksoi se, para këtij identifikimi, qyteti shërbente si vend takimi, aty ku bashkohen Ibri dhe Sitnica, ku ndërthureshin rrugët tregtare dhe, më vonë, linjat hekurudhore që e lidhnin Mitrovicën me shumë vende të tjera.

Sipas saj, themelimi i Trepçës solli në qytet minatorë, inxhinierë dhe familje nga pjesë të ndryshme të Kosovës, por edhe nga rajone më të gjera. Haxhiu tha se ata sollën me vete gjuhët, zakonet, muzikën dhe përvojat e tyre.

Drejtori i festivalit, Lulzim Hoti, e cilësoi sloganin e këtij edicioni si disi provokues, por njëkohësisht të nevojshëm.

“Green Fest” vazhdon të gëzojë pëlqimin e publikut, ndaj çdo vit ka interesim për pjesëmarrje gjatë ditëve të zhvillimit të tij.

Kosovo’s Acting President Albulena Haxhiu has responded to the idea, reiterated by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, of diverting the course of the Ibër River, describing it as “absurd,” “threatening” and “chauvinist.”

During the Kosovo Ambassadors’ Conference on August 10, Haxhiu called on Kosovo’s diplomats to convey Vučić’s statements to the governments of the countries where they are accredited. She also requested that the issue be addressed in cooperation with international partners.

According to her, any intervention in the course of the Ibër could have serious consequences for Kosovo, as the river and the water infrastructure connected to it are essential for the country.

“As you know, the Ibër-Lepenc (irrigation canal) and Lake Ujman are part of a vital system for water supply, energy, agriculture, and the lives of hundreds, thousands of citizens of Kosovo,” Haxhiu said.

Haxhiu stressed that the use of water resources to exert pressure on Kosovo cannot be accepted.

“We must make it clear that using water resources as an instrument of pressure against Kosovo is unacceptable, and that ideas that revive chauvinist and destabilizing approaches toward Kosovo must receive the appropriate international attention and response,” she said.

Her reaction came a day after Vučić’s statements, who said on August 9 that Serbia had taken concrete steps to examine the possibility of diverting the Ibër’s course. He made the comments during a visit to a workshop in Belgrade.

“We have already invited the experts dealing with this issue, the construction sector, engineers and others. Since they are tormenting our people so much, let us see—we have various reasons for diverting the Ibër’s course, and then we will see what the Albanians will do and how they will behave,” Vučić declared.

On Monday, the Serbian president returned to the subject, claiming that he was not threatening anyone and that he was dealing only with waterways within Serbia’s territory.

“Now, of course, the scientists, engineers and everyone else will sit down, examine the issue and propose to me how this can be carried out, and that is all. I have not threatened anyone. I am not Kurti, threatening people. I am not threatening anyone. We will simply deal with our own problems. We have our own interests and we are dealing with them,” Vučić told the media, according to a quote carried by the Serbian agency Tanjug.

The issue of diverting the Ibër’s course has not been raised for the first time. In December 2024, following the explosion that damaged the Ibër-Lepenc canal in Zubin Potok, Vučić said that such an idea had existed since 1985, with the aim of meeting the needs of the population in Serbia.

However, he said at the time that he himself had opposed its implementation.

Approximately 270 kilometers long, the Ibër River rises in Montenegro, flows through Serbia and continues into Kosovo, where it empties into the artificial Lake Ujman. Two-thirds of the lake’s surface lies within Kosovo’s territory.

The Ujman system supplies water to seven municipalities, serves for irrigation and is used to cool the power plants in Obiliq, which produce most of Kosovo’s electricity.

Experts previously interviewed by Radio Free Europe assessed that diverting the Ibër’s course is technically feasible, but would require extremely high costs. If such an action caused damage to Kosovo, it would contravene the principles of international law governing transboundary waters.

Serbia is a signatory to the 1997 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Non-Navigational Uses of International Watercourses.

Among other things, the convention establishes the principle of equitable and reasonable use of transboundary waters, as well as the obligation not to cause significant harm to other states. Kosovo is not a party to this convention because it is not a member of the United Nations.

Ushtruesja e detyrës së presidentes së Kosovës, Albulena Haxhiu, ka reaguar ndaj idesë së përsëritur nga presidenti i Serbisë, Aleksandar Vuçiq, për devijimin e rrjedhës së lumit Ibër, duke e cilësuar atë si “absurde”, “kërcënuese” dhe “shoviniste”.

Gjatë Konferencës së Ambasadorëve të Kosovës, më 10 gusht, Haxhiu u bëri thirrje diplomatëve kosovarë që deklaratat e Vuçiqit t’ua përcjellin qeverive të vendeve ku janë të akredituar. Ajo kërkoi gjithashtu që kjo çështje të trajtohet në bashkëpunim me partnerët ndërkombëtarë.

Sipas saj, çdo ndërhyrje në rrjedhën e Ibrit mund të ketë pasoja serioze për Kosovën, pasi ky lumë dhe infrastruktura ujore e lidhur me të janë thelbësore për vendin.

“Siç e dini, (kanali i ujitjes) Ibër-Lepenci dhe liqeni i Ujmanit janë pjesë e një sistemi jetik për furnizim me ujë, për energjinë, bujqësinë, dhe jetën e qindra, mijërave qytetarëve të Kosovës”, tha Haxhiu.

Haxhiu theksoi se shfrytëzimi i burimeve ujore për të ushtruar presion ndaj Kosovës nuk mund të pranohet.

“Duhet ta bëjmë të qartë se përdorimi i burimeve ujore si instrument presioni ndaj Kosovës është i papranueshëm dhe se ide të tilla që ringjallin qasje shoviniste dhe destabilizuese ndaj Kosovës duhet të marrin vëmendjen dhe reagimin e duhur ndërkombëtar”, u shpreh ajo.

Reagimi i saj erdhi një ditë pas deklaratave të Vuçiqit, i cili më 9 gusht tha se Serbia kishte nisur hapa konkretë për shqyrtimin e mundësisë së ndryshimit të rrjedhës së Ibrit. Ai i bëri këto komente gjatë një vizite në një punishte në Beograd.

“Ne tashmë kemi ftuar ekspertët që merren me këtë çështje, sektorin e ndërtimit, inxhinierë dhe të tjerë. Meqë po e maltretojnë kaq shumë popullin tonë, të shohim, kemi arsye të ndryshme për ndryshimin e rrjedhës së Ibrit, dhe pastaj do të shohim se çfarë do të bëjnë shqiptarët dhe si do të sillen”, deklaroi Vuçiq.

Të hënën, presidenti serb iu rikthye kësaj teme, duke pretenduar se nuk po kërcënon askënd dhe se po merret vetëm me rrjedhat ujore brenda territorit të Serbisë.

“Tani, natyrisht, shkencëtarët, inxhinierët dhe të gjithë të tjerët do të ulen, do ta shqyrtojnë çështjen dhe do të më propozojnë se si mund të realizohet kjo, dhe kaq. Unë nuk kam kërcënuar askënd. Nuk jam unë Kurti që t’i kërcënoj njerëzit. Nuk po kërcënoj askënd. Ne thjesht do të merremi me problemet tona. Ne kemi interesat tona dhe merremi me to”, tha Vuçiq për mediat, sipas citimit të agjencisë serbe Tanjug.

Çështja e ndryshimit të rrjedhës së Ibrit nuk është ngritur për herë të parë. Në dhjetor të vitit 2024, pas shpërthimit që dëmtoi kanalin Ibër-Lepenc në Zubin Potok, Vuçiq deklaroi se një ide e tillë ekzistonte që prej vitit 1985, me synim plotësimin e nevojave të popullsisë në Serbi.

Megjithatë, ai kishte deklaruar në atë kohë se vetë kishte qenë kundër realizimit të saj.

Me një gjatësi prej rreth 270 kilometrash, lumi Ibër buron në Mal të Zi, përshkon Serbinë dhe vazhdon në Kosovë, ku derdhet në liqenin artificial të Ujmanit. Dy të tretat e sipërfaqes së këtij liqeni ndodhen në territorin e Kosovës.

Sistemi i Ujmanit furnizon me ujë shtatë komuna, shërben për ujitje dhe përdoret për ftohjen e termocentraleve në Obiliq, të cilat prodhojnë pjesën më të madhe të energjisë elektrike në Kosovë.

Ekspertë të intervistuar më herët nga Radio Evropa e Lirë kanë vlerësuar se ndryshimi i rrjedhës së Ibrit është i realizueshëm nga ana teknike, por do të kërkonte kosto jashtëzakonisht të larta. Nëse një veprim i tillë do t’i shkaktonte dëme Kosovës, ai do të binte ndesh me parimet e së drejtës ndërkombëtare për ujërat ndërkufitare.

Serbia është nënshkruese e Konventës së Kombeve të Bashkuara të vitit 1997 për përdorimet jo-navigacionale të ujërave ndërkombëtare.

Kjo konventë përcakton, ndër të tjera, parimin e përdorimit të drejtë dhe të arsyeshëm të ujërave ndërkufitare, si dhe detyrimin për të mos u shkaktuar dëm të konsiderueshëm shteteve të tjera. Kosova nuk është palë e kësaj konvente, pasi nuk është anëtare e Organizatës së Kombeve të Bashkuara.

Kosovo’s Acting President, Albulena Haxhiu, called for Kosovo’s progress toward EU membership to be assessed according to the required criteria rather than the obstacles posed by its neighboring state.

At the ninth edition of the Conference of Ambassadors of the Republic of Kosovo, being held in Pristina under the theme “Kosovo in a Changing World: Security, Partnership and Development,” Haxhiu called for justice over the terrorist attack in Banjska, clarification of the fate of missing persons, the opening of archives and an end to chauvinistic statements in relation to Serbia.

Haxhiu: Serbia Continues Its Hegemonistic Policy; Addressing These Issues Is Essential for Normalization

“Serbia must be held accountable for the bomb attack in Banjska, for the attacks against KFOR personnel, journalists and other citizens, and for handing over the chief terrorist Milan Radoičić and others involved in this terrorist attack, as well as for clarifying the fate of more than 1,500 people who were forcibly disappeared during the war in Kosovo. Addressing these issues is an essential part of any process aimed at the genuine and lasting normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia,” she emphasized.

She called on diplomats to maintain continuous communication with the institutions regarding the excavations being carried out in Subotand, Kalludra e Vogël and Jabuka.

“Our partners must know that even today, new evidence of war crimes is being found in Kosovo and that justice for the victims and their families is still awaiting answers. Therefore, pressure must be put on Serbia to open its archives,” she said.

Haxhiu also mentioned statements by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, who said that the course of the Iber River should be changed. She said such ideas, which revive chauvinistic and destabilizing approaches toward Kosovo, should receive appropriate international attention and a response.

“Serbia continues its hegemonistic policy toward Kosovo. Another serious concern that we must address with our international partners is Vučić’s recent statements about the possibility of changing the course of the Iber River. As you know, Iber-Lepenc and Ujman Lake are part of a system vital to the water supply, energy, agriculture and lives of hundreds of thousands of Kosovo citizens. Unilateral intervention in cross-border waterways would have consequences far beyond a technical issue, as it would affect the water, energy, environmental and human security of our Republic,” the acting president continued.

Haxhiu on Non-Recognizing Countries: If We Want a Change in Position, We Must Understand the Arguments

Haxhiu also spoke about Kosovo’s position internationally, highlighting the 121 recognitions by states. She also addressed the countries that continue not to recognize the country’s independence, saying that an analysis should be conducted into why this is the case.

“Non-recognition is not a single political category. Spain does not have the same history as Greece, Greece does not have the same interests as Slovakia, and none of them views Kosovo in the same way as a state in Latin America or Asia. If we want to change a position, we must first understand what concerns them, what interests they have and which argument may make sense to them,” she said.

She mentioned the finding of the International Court of Justice that Kosovo’s declaration of independence did not violate international law.

“We must use this argument, but naturally we will not rely on it alone. Eighteen years after independence, we have the opportunity to speak to the states that still do not recognize us about the Kosovo we have built and about what we can do together,” Haxhiu said.

Haxhiu: Kosovo’s Progress Should Depend on EU Criteria, Not Obstacles Posed by Another State

She mentioned Kosovo’s efforts to become part of the European Union, saying that the rules for membership should be the same for every country in the Western Balkans.

“Our Euro-Atlantic orientation is clear, but a rules-based order is credible only if the rules apply equally, including when their implementation is politically difficult. If the Western Balkan countries are invited to meet the integration criteria, then progress should depend on those criteria and not on obstacles that a country cannot resolve through its own reforms. This must be part of our argument in every European capital,” she said.

“Serbia duhet të mbajë përgjegjësi për sulmin me bomba në Banjskë, për sulmet ndaj pjesëtarëve të KFOR-it, gazetarëve, qytetarëve të tjerë, për dorëzimin e kryeteroristit Milan Radojiçiq dhe të tjerëve të përfshirë në këtë sulm terrorist, por po ashtu edhe për zbardhjen e fatit të mbi 1,500 personave të zhdukur me dhunë gjatë luftës në Kosovë. Adresimi i këtyre çështjeve është pjesë e domosdoshme e çdo procesi që synon një normalizim të vërtetë dhe të qëndrueshëm të marrëdhënieve ndërmjet Kosovës dhe Serbisë”, potencoi ajo.

Ajo kërkoi nga diplomatët komunikim të vazhdueshëm me institucionet, për gërmimet që po realizohen në Subotand, në Kalludër të Vogël dhe Jabukë.

“Partnerët tanë duhet ta dinë se edhe sot, në Kosovë, po gjenden dëshmi të reja të krimeve të luftës dhe se drejtësia për viktimat e familjet e tyre ende pret përgjigje. Prandaj duhet t’i bëhet presion Serbisë që të hapë arkivat”, tha ajo.

Haxhiu përmendi edhe deklaratat e presidentit serb, Aleksandër Vuçiq, i cili ka thënë se duhet ndryshuar rrjedha e lumit Ibër. Ajo tha se idetë e tilla që ringjallin qasje shoviniste dhe destabilizuese ndaj Kosovës duhet të marrin vëmendjen dhe reagimin e duhur ndërkombëtar.

“Serbia vazhdon politikën e saj hegjemoniste ndaj Kosovës. Një tjetër shqetësim serioz që duhet ta adresojmë me partnerët tanë ndërkombëtarë janë edhe deklaratat e fundit të Vuçiqit për mundësinë e ndryshimit të rrjedhës së lumit Ibër. Siç e dini, Ibër-Lepenci dhe liqeni i Ujmanit janë pjesë e një sistemi jetik për furnizimin me ujë, për energjinë, bujqësinë dhe jetën e qindra mijëra qytetarëve të Kosovës. Ndërhyrja njëanshme në rrjedhat ujore ndërkufitare do të kishte pasoja shumë përtej një çështjeje teknike, ngaqë do ta prekte sigurinë ujore, energjetike, mjedisore dhe njerëzore të Republikës sonë”, vazhdoi u.d. presidentja.

Haxhiu për vendet mos njohëse: Nëse duam ndryshim qëndrimi, duhet të njohim argumentet

Haxhiu ka folur edhe për pozitën e Kosovës në rrafshin ndërkombëtar, duke potencuar 121 njohjet shtetërore. Ajo u ndal edhe te shtetet që vazhdojnë të mos e njohin pavarësinë e vendit, duke thënë se duhet bërë analizë pse ndodh ky fenomen.

“Mosnjohjet nuk janë një kategori e vetme politike. Spanja nuk ka të njëjtën histori me Greqinë, Greqia nuk ka të njëjtat interesa me Sllovakinë, dhe asnjëra prej tyre nuk e sheh Kosovën në të njëjtën mënyrë si një shtet në Amerikën Latine apo në Azi. Nëse duam ta ndryshojmë një qëndrim, duhet së pari të kuptojmë se çfarë i shqetëson, çfarë interesash kanë dhe cili argument mund të ketë kuptim për ta”, tha ajo.

Ajo përmendi konstatimin e Gjykatës Ndërkombëtare për Drejtësi, se shpallja e pavarësisë së Kosovës nuk e ka shkelur të drejtën ndërkombëtare.

“Këtë argument duhet ta përdorim, por natyrisht nuk do të mbetemi vetëm te ai. 18 vjet pas pavarësisë kemi mundësi t’u flasim shteteve që ende nuk na njohin edhe për Kosovën që e kemi ndërtuar dhe për atë që mund ta bëjmë së bashku”, tha Haxhiu.

Haxhiu: Përparimi i Kosovës të varet nga kriteret e BE-së, jo nga pengesat e shtetit tjetër

Ajo përmendi përpjekjet e Kosovës për të qenë pjesë e Bashkimit Evropian, duke thënë se rregullat për anëtarësim duhet të jenë të njëjta për çdo shtet në Ballkanin Perëndimor.

“Orientimi ynë euroatlantik është i qartë, por një rend i mbështetur në rregulla është i besueshëm vetëm nëse rregullat vlejnë njësoj dhe kur zbatimi i tyre është politikisht i vështirë. Nëse vendet e Ballkanit Perëndimor ftohen t’i plotësojnë kriteret e integrimit, atëherë përparimi duhet të varet nga kriteret dhe jo nga pengesat të cilat një vend nuk mund t’i zgjidhë përmes reformave të veta. Kjo duhet të jetë pjesë e argumentit tonë në secilin kryeqytet evropian”, ka thënë ajo.

Also attending the reception were Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Acting Foreign Minister Glauk Konjufca.

Haxhiu said she had thanked the diplomats for their year-round efforts to represent Kosovo.

According to her, this work is often not immediately visible, while it requires patience, perseverance and many conversations before a result is achieved.

She underlined that diplomacy cannot rely solely on the reaction of the moment, particularly at a time when interests and alliances are changing rapidly.

Haxhiu said it takes time for others to get to know you and build trust before the moment comes when their support is needed.

She noted that many people who know Kosovo from afar continue to associate it with the war, the declaration of independence or the latest news they have seen.

According to Haxhiu, Kosovo’s diplomats work every day to ensure that perceptions of the country are not limited to these events, but also reflect the Kosovo of today.

She also expressed gratitude to the diplomats’ families, including the children who are forced to change schools and the spouses who, whenever their posting changes, adapt their lives to a new and unfamiliar country.

Ambasadorët dhe konsujt e Kosovës, të cilët janë të angazhuar në vende të ndryshme të botës, janë mirëpritur në Prishtinë nga ushtruesja e detyrës së Presidentes së Kosovës, Albulena Haxhiu.

Në këtë pritje morën pjesë gjithashtu kryeministri në detyrë, Albin Kurti, si dhe ministri në detyrë i Punëve të Jashtme, Glauk Konjufca.

Haxhiu bëri të ditur se diplomatët i kishte falënderuar për angazhimin që zhvillojnë gjatë tërë vitit në përfaqësim të Kosovës.

Sipas saj, kjo punë shpesh nuk bëhet menjëherë e dukshme, ndërsa kërkon durim, këmbëngulje dhe shumë biseda përpara se të arrihet një rezultat.

Ajo nënvizoi se diplomacia nuk mund të mbështetet vetëm te reagimi i momentit, veçanërisht në një kohë kur interesat dhe aleancat ndryshojnë me shpejtësi.

Haxhiu tha se nevojitet kohë që të tjerët të të njohin dhe të ndërtojnë besim, përpara se të vijë çasti kur kërkohet përkrahja e tyre.

Ajo vuri në dukje se shumë persona që e njohin Kosovën nga distanca vazhdojnë ta lidhin atë me luftën, shpalljen e pavarësisë ose me lajmin më të fundit që kanë parë.

Sipas Haxhiut, diplomatët e Kosovës angazhohen përditë që perceptimi për vendin të mos kufizohet vetëm në këto ngjarje, por të pasqyrojë edhe Kosovën e sotme.

Mirënjohje iu shpreh edhe familjeve të diplomatëve, përfshirë fëmijët që detyrohen të ndërrojnë shkollë dhe bashkëshortët që, sa herë ndryshon vendi i shërbimit, përshtatin jetën e tyre me një shtet të ri dhe të panjohur.
