A remote-controlled explosive device was discovered this morning on a street in Neighborhood 4, in the city of Durrës.

Immediately after the discovery, police services were dispatched to the area, while the bomb disposal unit is expected to intervene to neutralize the bomb.

On August 25, 2026, Kosovo’s Special Prosecution Office indicted Fatmir Sheholli, accusing him of espionage and blackmail.

The case has brought to the forefront a dilemma the state can no longer ignore: Did espionage end when the conflict ended, or did it simply take new forms?

According to security expert Drizan Shala, espionage activities did not cease with the war but were transformed, targeting institutions, political processes, vital infrastructure and sensitive data.

Shala emphasizes that, from a national security perspective, intelligence operations do not have a clearly defined end date. After 1999, Kosovo’s security environment changed profoundly, and the techniques used to gather information, recruit sources and exert influence evolved alongside it.

During the war, the main targets were military data, KLA structures and operational capabilities. Today, however, the targets have become more complex: state institutions, critical infrastructure, political processes, classified information, international ties and weaknesses within the system, he explains.

For this reason, a suspected espionage case should not be treated simply as a personal matter. It requires a broader counterintelligence analysis: who wants the information, what kind of data is being sought, which channels are being used, to whom the reports are sent and what the ultimate strategic objective is.

Shala warns that Kosovo is no longer facing the espionage model of the 1990s, but rather a more covert, dispersed and difficult-to-detect form. According to him, contemporary espionage no longer requires a traditional agent carrying secret files; access to information, the building of a relationship of trust, influence over an individual or institution and the gradual transfer of strategically important data are enough.

Furthermore, the expert underscores that the protection of national security must also begin within institutions, and that the main obstacle remains the timely identification of espionage networks before they manage to infiltrate and consolidate themselves.

Shala says the Sheholli case should yield a broader lesson: national security is not protected only along border lines, but also within institutions, in the fields of information and technology, and in spheres of influence. He adds that 26 years after the conflict, the true challenge of counterintelligence is not simply exposing a network after it has been discovered, but identifying early warning signs before it becomes consolidated, before a source enters an institution and before strategic information leaves the system.

In conclusion, the expert stresses that in modern intelligence warfare, the agent is not always the greatest threat; the highest risk is the network that no one noticed in time.

Më 25 gusht 2026, Prokuroria Speciale e Kosovës ngriti aktakuzë kundër Fatmir Shehollit, duke e akuzuar atë për spiunazh dhe shantazh.

Rasti ka sjellë në qendër të vëmendjes një dilemë që shteti nuk mund ta injorojë më: a mbaroi spiunazhi me përfundimin e konfliktit, apo thjesht mori trajta të reja?

Sipas ekspertit të sigurisë Drizan Shala, aktivitetet spiunazhiste nuk u ndërprenë me luftën, por u transformuan, duke vënë në shënjestër institucionet, proceset politike, infrastrukturën jetike dhe të dhënat e ndjeshme.

Shala thekson se nga këndvështrimi i sigurisë kombëtare, operacionet e inteligjencës nuk kanë një datë mbylljeje të prerë. Pas vitit 1999, mjedisi i sigurisë në Kosovë ka ndryshuar thellësisht, e bashkë me të kanë evoluar edhe teknikat e grumbullimit të informacionit, rekrutimit të burimeve dhe ushtrimit të ndikimit.

Gjatë periudhës së luftës, shënjestra kryesore ishin të dhënat ushtarake, strukturat e UÇK-së dhe aftësitë operative. Ndërsa sot, objektivat janë bërë më të ndërlikuara: institucionet shtetërore, infrastruktura kritike, proceset politike, informacionet e klasifikuara, lidhjet ndërkombëtare dhe pikat e dobëta brenda sistemit, shpjegon ai.

Për këtë arsye, një rast i dyshuar spiunazhi nuk duhet trajtuar thjesht si një çështje personale. Ai kërkon një analizë më të gjerë në kuadër të kundërzbulimit: kush e do informacionin, çfarë lloj të dhënash kërkohen, cilat kanale përdoren, kujt i dërgohen raportimet dhe cili është qëllimi strategjik përfundimtar.

Shala paralajmëron se Kosova nuk përballet më me modelin e spiunazhit të viteve ’90, por me një formë më të fshehtë, të shpërndarë dhe të vështirë për t’u zbuluar. Sipas tij, spiunazhi bashkëkohor nuk ka më nevojë për një agjent tradicional me dosje sekrete; mjafton aksesi në informacion, ndërtimi i një marrëdhënieje besimi, ndikimi mbi një individ apo institucion dhe kalimi gradual i të dhënave me rëndësi strategjike.

Më tej, eksperti nënvizon se mbrojtja e sigurisë kombëtare duhet të fillojë edhe nga brenda institucioneve dhe se pengesa kryesore mbetet identifikimi në kohë i rrjeteve të spiunazhit, para se ato të arrijnë të depërtojnë dhe të forcohen.

Nga rasti Sheholli, Shala thotë se duhet nxjerrë një mësim më i gjerë: siguria kombëtare nuk mbrohet vetëm në vijat kufitare, por edhe brenda institucioneve, në fushën e informacionit, teknologjisë dhe në hapësirat e ndikimit. Ai shton se 26 vjet pas konfliktit, sfida e vërtetë e kundërzbulimit nuk është thjesht të ekspozohet një rrjet pasi ai është zbuluar, por të dallohen sinjalet e hershme përpara se ai të konsolidohet, përpara se një burim të futet në institucion dhe përpara se informacioni strategjik të dalë jashtë sistemit.

Në përfundim, eksperti thekson se në luftën moderne të inteligjencës, agjenti nuk paraqet gjithmonë kërcënimin më të madh; rreziku më i lartë është rrjeti që askush nuk e ka vërejtur me kohë.

Analyst and publicist Nehat Hyseni says Kosovo is facing more than just political difficulties in constituting the Assembly and establishing new institutions. According to him, the country is facing a broader crisis linked to the interpretation, observance and implementation of the Constitution.

Hyseni says every decision by officials exercising constitutional functions must be assessed not only on the basis of its political objective, but especially on the constitutional support that legitimizes it.

“The Republic of Kosovo is now facing one of the most complicated institutional situations of the post-war period,” Hyseni told ‘Bota sot’.

He considers dialogue between the political parties necessary, but raises questions about the institutional status and capacity on the basis of which acting President Albulena Haxhiu invited the opposition parties to a meeting.

According to him, the essence of the problem lies in the institutional position of the person who issued the invitation, the legal powers under which she is acting and the institutional manner of communication.

“The main issue is to determine in what capacity Albulena Haxhiu invited the political parties,” Hyseni says.

He explains that an invitation issued in her capacity as a party’s member of parliament would constitute a party political initiative. If the invitation was issued in her capacity as acting President, then, according to him, a much higher level of institutional neutrality is required.

Hyseni emphasizes that in a constitutional republic, the function determines the authority, and the latter sets the limits of action.

“The logic that because the goal is good, every means is permissible cannot be accepted. It is precisely this kind of reasoning that the Constitution seeks to prevent,” he says.

Another issue requiring clarification, according to Hyseni, is the relationship between the status of a member of the Assembly and the temporary exercise of the presidential function.

Referring to Articles 72 and 90 of the Constitution, he says that in this case there is a “clear normative tension” that must be analyzed systematically.

Hyseni underlines that this situation does not automatically imply a constitutional violation, but may indicate the existence of an exception or a special constitutional mechanism that must be interpreted as a whole.

According to him, this issue should also be examined by the Constitutional Court.

“The question should not be limited merely to whether an action is permitted or not. It must be determined which powers may be exercised by a member of parliament who temporarily also holds the presidential function and which of them require full institutional neutrality,” he says.

Hyseni describes Albulena Haxhiu’s role in the current circumstances as a “political paradox.”

“The acting President must represent the state institution and not serve as an instrument of a political party,” Hyseni emphasizes.

He calls for it to be made clear, if the invitation to the parties was issued in the name of the Office of the President, what the constitutional basis for this initiative is.

Hyseni asks whether, by using the authority of the acting President to mediate an agreement between the parties, Albulena Haxhiu is acting as an institutional arbiter or as a political actor.

“In a normal republic, the President should contribute to resolving the crisis, but cannot be part of one side of the crisis,” he says.

Speaking about the constitutional deadline for constituting the Assembly, Hyseni recalls that the final results of the June 7 elections were certified on July 8, while the 30-day deadline expired on August 7.

“This is a legal fact,” he emphasizes.

However, Hyseni rejects the interpretation that the expiry of this deadline automatically entails the dissolution of the Assembly or the loss of members’ mandates.

“The Constitution does not establish such an outcome,” he says.

According to him, the Constitutional Court should provide an authoritative answer on the legal status of members of parliament after the expiry of the 30-day deadline, the continuation of the constitutive session, the authority to convene it and the possibility of electing the Assembly’s bodies.

“These are issues of constitutional interpretation, not topics for television debates,” Hyseni says.

Regarding the demand that the constitutive session be held at frequent intervals, including every 48 hours, he says the issue should be viewed beyond the political clash.

“Holding the session every 48 hours is not a solution in itself,” Hyseni says.

He explains that constitutionality is not linked only to the fact that the Assembly meets, but also to whether the meeting is convened by the competent body, at the time and in the manner prescribed, and in accordance with constitutional rules.

“Repeating the sessions cannot replace constitutional authority. An unlawful session does not become lawful merely because it is held several times,” he emphasizes.

Hyseni cites Belgium as an example, noting that after the 2010 elections it remained for a long period without a fully formed new government, but institutional continuity was not interrupted.

“Political conflict must not turn into a crisis of state continuity,” he says.

In the case of the Netherlands as well, according to Hyseni, caretaker governments have been used as a mechanism to guarantee the functioning of the state.

“The parties may be in conflict, but the institutions must continue working. Even if the parties fail to form a coalition, the state cannot be left without functioning mechanisms,” he says.

Referring to Spain and Italy, Hyseni argues that political crises must be overcome through constitutional procedures and not through improvisation.

He also warns against personalizing the Constitution and using it according to the interests of political actors.

“The Constitution is not the property of Kurti, Haxhiu, Abdixhiku, Krasniqi, Haradinaj or any other leader. It stands above everyone,” Hyseni says.

According to him, the Assembly must not become an “arena of party warfare,” while the interpretation of the Constitution cannot change depending on the political position of those interpreting it.

Hyseni reiterates that sessions every 48 hours are not a solution in themselves and adds that procedure cannot replace a political agreement.

As a way out, he proposes an “institutional pact” that would include urgent constitutional interpretation, a clear separation of functions, inter-party dialogue, consultations on a consensual president, a reduction in confrontational rhetoric and constitutional reform after the crisis ends.

“PDK, LDK, AAK and LVV must sit down for dialogue. This dialogue must have a clear agenda: the constitution of the Assembly, the formation of the institutions and then the normal functioning of the state,” Hyseni says.

He believes that the issue of the president should also be discussed now, so that it does not become the next source of deadlock.

“If the election of the President risks becoming the new knot in the crisis, the parties must begin consultations in advance on a candidate who enjoys broader trust,” he says.

In conclusion, Hyseni says that no side can be declared the winner if political conflict results in damage to state institutions.

“Kosovo does not need a winner of the crisis, but an end to the crisis itself,” he emphasizes.

According to him, weakening the Constitution cannot be presented as a political success.

“If a leader retains power but the Constitution is damaged in the process, this is not a state victory. Likewise, if the opposition blocks the majority and the functioning of the Republic is damaged as a result, this does not constitute a democratic victory,” Hyseni says.

He believes that Albulena Haxhiu’s invitation to dialogue could serve as an opportunity to resolve the crisis, but only if it is based on clear institutional principles.

“If dialogue is used to bypass constitutional ambiguities, then a new paradox may be created: the state would be seeking to break the deadlock while deepening constitutional uncertainty,” Hyseni concludes.

His closing message is that a mandate to govern is not a license to block, a mandate to represent is not authorization to seize institutions, and an election victory gives no one the right to place the party above the Constitution.

Analisti dhe publicisti Nehat Hyseni vlerëson se Kosova nuk po përballet vetëm me vështirësi politike për konstituimin e Kuvendit dhe krijimin e institucioneve të reja. Sipas tij, vendi ndodhet përballë një krize më të gjerë që lidhet me interpretimin, respektimin dhe zbatimin e Kushtetutës.

Hyseni thotë se çdo vendim i zyrtarëve që ushtrojnë funksione kushtetuese duhet të vlerësohet jo vetëm nga synimi politik, por veçanërisht nga mbështetja kushtetuese që e legjitimon atë.

“Republika e Kosovës ndodhet tashmë përballë një prej situatave më të ndërlikuara institucionale të periudhës së pasluftës”, deklaron Hyseni për ‘Bota sot’.

Ai e konsideron dialogun ndërmjet partive politike të domosdoshëm, por ngre dilema për statusin dhe kapacitetin institucional mbi bazën e të cilit ushtruesja e detyrës së presidentes, Albulena Haxhiu, ka ftuar partitë opozitare në takim.

Sipas tij, thelbi i problemit qëndron te pozita institucionale e personit që ka bërë ftesën, te kompetencat juridike me të cilat vepron dhe te mënyra institucionale e komunikimit.

“Çështja kryesore është të përcaktohet në çfarë cilësie Albulena Haxhiu i ka ftuar partitë politike”, shprehet Hyseni.

Ai sqaron se një ftesë e bërë në cilësinë e deputetes së një partie do të përbënte nismë politike partiake. Në rast se ftesa është bërë si ushtruese e detyrës së Presidentes, atëherë, sipas tij, kërkohet një nivel shumë më i lartë i neutralitetit institucional.

Hyseni thekson se në një republikë kushtetuese, funksioni përcakton kompetencën dhe kjo e fundit vendos kufijtë e veprimit.

“Nuk mund të pranohet logjika se, meqë qëllimi është i mirë, çdo mjet është i lejueshëm. Pikërisht këtë lloj arsyetimi Kushtetuta synon ta ndalojë”, deklaron ai.

Një tjetër çështje që kërkon sqarim, sipas Hysenit, është marrëdhënia mes statusit të deputetes së Kuvendit dhe ushtrimit të përkohshëm të funksionit presidencial.

Duke iu referuar neneve 72 dhe 90 të Kushtetutës, ai thotë se në këtë rast ekziston një “tension i dukshëm normativ”, i cili duhet të analizohet në mënyrë sistemike.

Hyseni nënvizon se kjo situatë nuk nënkupton automatikisht shkelje kushtetuese, por mund të tregojë ekzistencën e një përjashtimi ose mekanizmi të posaçëm kushtetues që duhet interpretuar në tërësi.

Sipas tij, këtë çështje duhet ta shqyrtojë edhe Gjykata Kushtetuese.

“Pyetja nuk duhet të kufizohet vetëm te fakti nëse një veprim lejohet apo jo. Duhet të përcaktohet se cilat kompetenca mund t’i ushtrojë një deputet që përkohësisht mban edhe funksionin presidencial dhe cilat prej tyre kërkojnë neutralitet të plotë institucional”, thotë ai.

Rolin e Albulena Haxhiut në rrethanat aktuale, Hyseni e përshkruan si një “paradoks politik”.

“Ushtruesja e detyrës së Presidentes duhet të përfaqësojë institucionin e shtetit dhe jo të shërbejë si instrument i një partie politike”, thekson Hyseni.

Ai kërkon që, nëse ftesa për partitë është bërë në emër të institucionit të Presidentit, të bëhet e qartë se cila është baza kushtetuese e kësaj nisme.

Hyseni pyet nëse, duke përdorur autoritetin e ushtrueses së detyrës së Presidentes për të ndërmjetësuar një marrëveshje mes partive, Albulena Haxhiu po vepron si arbitre institucionale apo si aktore politike.

“Në një republikë normale, Presidenti duhet të kontribuojë në zgjidhjen e krizës, por nuk mund të jetë pjesë e njërës palë të krizës”, shprehet ai.

Duke folur për afatin kushtetues të konstituimit të Kuvendit, Hyseni rikujton se rezultatet përfundimtare të zgjedhjeve të 7 qershorit u certifikuan më 8 korrik, ndërsa afati 30-ditor përfundoi më 7 gusht.

“Ky është fakt juridik”, thekson ai.

Megjithatë, Hyseni kundërshton interpretimin se përfundimi i këtij afati nënkupton automatikisht shpërbërjen e Kuvendit ose humbjen e mandateve nga deputetët.

“Kushtetuta nuk përcakton një përfundim të tillë”, thotë ai.

Sipas tij, Gjykata Kushtetuese duhet të japë një përgjigje autoritative për statusin juridik të deputetëve pas skadimit të afatit 30-ditor, vazhdimin e seancës konstituive, kompetencën për thirrjen e saj dhe mundësinë e zgjedhjes së organeve të Kuvendit.

“Këto janë çështje të interpretimit kushtetues dhe jo tema për debate televizive”, deklaron Hyseni.

Sa i përket kërkesës që seanca konstituive të zhvillohet në intervale të shpeshta, përfshirë çdo 48 orë, ai thotë se kjo çështje duhet parë përtej përplasjes politike.

“Mbajtja e seancës çdo 48 orë nuk përbën zgjidhje më vete”, shprehet Hyseni.

Ai sqaron se kushtetutshmëria nuk lidhet vetëm me faktin që Kuvendi mblidhet, por edhe me atë nëse mbledhja thirret nga organi kompetent, në kohën dhe mënyrën e parashikuar dhe në pajtim me rregullat kushtetuese.

“Përsëritja e seancave nuk mund ta zëvendësojë kompetencën kushtetuese. Një seancë e paligjshme nuk bëhet e ligjshme vetëm sepse zhvillohet disa herë”, thekson ai.

Hyseni sjell si shembull Belgjikën, e cila pas zgjedhjeve të vitit 2010 qëndroi për një periudhë të gjatë pa një qeveri të re të plotë, por vazhdimësia institucionale nuk u ndërpre.

“Përplasja politike nuk duhet të shndërrohet në krizë të vazhdimësisë shtetërore”, thotë ai.

Edhe në rastin e Holandës, sipas Hysenit, qeveritë kujdestare janë përdorur si mekanizëm për të garantuar funksionalitetin e shtetit.

“Partitë mund të jenë në konflikt, por institucionet duhet të vazhdojnë punën. Edhe nëse partitë nuk arrijnë të krijojnë koalicion, shteti nuk mund të mbetet pa mekanizma funksionalë”, deklaron ai.

Duke iu referuar Spanjës dhe Italisë, Hyseni argumenton se krizat politike duhet të kapërcehen përmes procedurave kushtetuese dhe jo përmes improvizimeve.

Ai paralajmëron gjithashtu kundër personalizimit të Kushtetutës dhe përdorimit të saj në varësi të interesave të aktorëve politikë.

“Kushtetuta nuk është pronë e Kurtit, Haxhiut, Abdixhikut, Krasniqit, Haradinajt apo e ndonjë lideri tjetër. Ajo qëndron mbi të gjithë”, shprehet Hyseni.

Sipas tij, Kuvendi nuk duhet të kthehet në një “arenë të luftës partiake”, ndërsa interpretimi i Kushtetutës nuk mund të ndryshojë në varësi të pozicionit politik të atyre që e interpretojnë.

Hyseni përsërit se seancat çdo 48 orë nuk janë zgjidhje në vetvete dhe shton se procedura nuk mund ta zëvendësojë marrëveshjen politike.

Si rrugëdalje, ai propozon një “pakt institucional” që do të përfshinte interpretim urgjent kushtetues, ndarje të qartë të funksioneve, dialog ndërpartiak, konsultime për një president konsensual, zbutje të retorikës konfliktuoze dhe reformë kushtetuese pas përfundimit të krizës.

“PDK, LDK, AAK dhe LVV duhet të ulen në dialog. Ky dialog duhet të ketë një rend të qartë: konstituimi i Kuvendit, formimi i institucioneve dhe më pas funksionimi normal i shtetit”, thotë Hyseni.

Ai vlerëson se edhe çështja e presidentit duhet të diskutohet që tani, në mënyrë që të mos shndërrohet në burimin e ardhshëm të bllokadës.

“Nëse zgjedhja e Presidentit rrezikon të bëhet nyja e re e krizës, partitë duhet të nisin paraprakisht konsultimet për një kandidat që gëzon besim më të gjerë”, deklaron ai.

Në përmbyllje, Hyseni thotë se asnjë palë nuk mund të shpallet fituese nëse përplasja politike sjell dëmtimin e institucioneve shtetërore.

“Kosovës nuk i duhet një fitues i krizës, por përfundimi i vetë krizës”, thekson ai.

Sipas tij, dobësimi i Kushtetutës nuk mund të paraqitet si sukses politik.

“Nëse një lider e mban pushtetin, por në këtë proces dëmtohet Kushtetuta, nuk kemi të bëjmë me fitore shtetërore. Po ashtu, nëse opozita e bllokon shumicën dhe si pasojë dëmtohet funksionimi i Republikës, kjo nuk përbën fitore demokratike”, deklaron Hyseni.

Ai vlerëson se ftesa e Albulena Haxhiut për dialog mund të shërbejë si mundësi për zgjidhjen e krizës, por vetëm nëse mbështetet mbi parime të qarta institucionale.

“Nëse dialogu përdoret për të anashkaluar paqartësitë kushtetuese, atëherë mund të krijohet një paradoks i ri: shteti do të tentohej të zhbllokohej duke u thelluar pasiguria kushtetuese”, përfundon Hyseni.

Mesazhi i tij përmbyllës është se mandati për të qeverisur nuk përbën licencë për bllokim, mandati për të përfaqësuar nuk është autorizim për kapjen e institucioneve dhe fitorja në zgjedhje nuk i jep askujt të drejtën ta vendosë partinë mbi Kushtetutën.

An alarming situation has been recorded at Tirana Zoo, where, in temperatures reaching 38 degrees Celsius, the animals appear exhausted, tired and sick as they struggle, in an environment that bears no resemblance to their natural habitat, to find the rare patches of shade that might protect them from the scorching sun.

News24 has brought footage that breaks the heart, showing bears, a lion, a wolf and other animals, including cows and horses, struggling in the heat and from thirst in surroundings that clearly raise doubts about whether they provide even the minimum conditions needed to cope with the extreme heat that has gripped the country this August.

It is immediately apparent that the water available to them is insufficient and kept in conditions that raise questions about hygiene, but another sight is even more alarming.

One of the zoo’s wolves is standing inside its enclosed area with visible wounds on its body, while it is not known whether it is receiving the necessary veterinary treatment.

Animals cannot say that they are thirsty, that they are suffering from the heat or that they are in pain; they cannot leave, nor can they ask for help.

For precisely this reason, on days when scorching temperatures engulf the country, the responsibility of people and institutions for their well-being becomes even greater.

The person who placed them there also has the responsibility to guarantee them the minimum living conditions, care and protection they deserve.

Tirana Zoo is a space visited every day by tourists and citizens. But the scenes visible today are not only unpleasant; they are also concerning and alarming.

They should not simply pass as another news story of the day. They should serve as a call for oversight, transparency and institutional accountability.

Behind the bars are not objects on display. They are living beings placed in a space from which they cannot leave and where they cannot care for themselves. Humans keep them there, and they also have a duty to guarantee them dignified living conditions.

People’s visits, driven by love and curiosity for animals, may be the reason a zoo exists, but they can never be a reason for its inhabitants to suffer.

Kafshët nuk mund të tregojnë se kanë etje, se po vuajnë nga nxehtësia apo se kanë dhimbje, nuk mund të të largohen nga aty, nuk mund të kërkojnë ndihmë.

Pikërisht për këtë arsye, në ditët kur temperaturat përvëlojnë vendin, përgjegjësia e njerëzve dhe institucioneve për mirëqenien e tyre bëhet edhe më e madhe.

Njeriu që i ka vendosur aty, ka edhe përgjegjësinë për t’u garantuar atyre kushtet minimale të jetesës, kujdesin dhe mbrojtjen që meritojnë.

Kopshti Zoologjik i Tiranës, është një hapësirë që vizitohet çdo ditë nga turistë dhe qytetarë. Por pamjet që shihen sot, janë jo vetëm një pamje e pakëndshme, por edhe shqetësuese e alarmante.

Ato nuk duhet të kalojnë thjesht si një tjetër lajm i ditës. Ato duhet të shërbejnë si një thirrje për kontroll, transparencë dhe përgjegjësi institucionale.

Pas hekurave nuk qëndrojnë objekte ekspozimi. Janë qenie të gjalla, të vendosura në një hapësirë nga ku nuk mund të largohen dhe nuk mund të kujdesen për veten. Njeriu i mban aty dhe ai ka edhe detyrimin t’u garantojë kushte dinjitoze jetese.

Vizitat e njerëzve nga dashuria dhe kureshtja për kafshët mund të jenë arsyeja pse ekziston një kopsht zoologjik, por nuk mund të jetë kurrë arsyeja që banorët e tij të vuajnë.

Kosovo Police were mobilized following a report of a suspected explosive device at the Bus Station in Pristina on Thursday afternoon.

According to Enis Pllana, spokesperson for the Kosovo Police in the Pristina region, the information was received at around 4:30 p.m.

Immediately after the report, police units secured the perimeter and took the necessary security measures to address the situation.

“The relevant police units have been deployed at the scene. They are handling the information and conducting the necessary checks,” Pllana said.

At present, there is no further information about the type of suspected device, nor any confirmation as to whether an explosive device was found during the checks.

Further information is expected to be made public by the police after the checks are completed.
