As the highest decision-making body of the World Customs Organization, the Council brings together the heads of customs administrations of member countries to address strategic priorities and the most important developments in the customs sector on a global scale.

The Kosovo Customs announcement states that during these proceedings, the report of the Secretary General, as well as the reports of the WCO’s technical committees, were reviewed. Special attention was given to the development of institutional capacities, customs standards and policies, rules of origin, customs valuation, nomenclature, and the classification of goods.

The agenda also included topics related to law enforcement, the facilitation of international trade, and the application of technology in customs procedures.

At the same time, the Council is also reviewing the organization’s institutional policies, governance, finances, and budget, and is expected to approve the calendar of future activities and sessions of the World Customs Organization.

According to Kosovo Customs’ assessment, Llugaliu’s participation in this high-level international forum contributes to strengthening Kosovo’s role in global customs policymaking processes, alignment with international standards, and deepening cooperation with the customs administrations of partner countries.

The statement also emphasizes that Kosovo Customs remains committed to advancing reforms, modernizing customs services, facilitating lawful trade, and strengthening the security of the international supply chain, in line with the standards and best practices of the World Customs Organization.

Si organi më i lartë vendimmarrës i Organizatës Botërore të Doganave, Këshilli mbledh krerët e administratave doganore të vendeve anëtare për të trajtuar prioritetet strategjike dhe zhvillimet më të rëndësishme në sektorin doganor në shkallë globale.

Njoftimi i Doganës së Kosovës bën të ditur se gjatë këtyre punimeve janë marrë në shqyrtim raporti i Sekretarit të Përgjithshëm, si edhe raportet e komiteteve teknike të OBD-së. Vëmendje e posaçme i është kushtuar zhvillimit të kapaciteteve institucionale, standardeve dhe politikave doganore, rregullave të origjinës, vlerësimit doganor, nomenklaturës dhe klasifikimit të mallrave.

Në rend dite janë përfshirë gjithashtu tema që lidhen me zbatimin e ligjit, lehtësimin e tregtisë ndërkombëtare dhe aplikimin e teknologjisë në procedurat doganore.

Njëkohësisht, Këshilli po shqyrton edhe politikat institucionale, qeverisjen, financat dhe buxhetin e organizatës, ndërsa pritet të miratojë kalendarin e aktiviteteve dhe sesioneve të ardhshme të Organizatës Botërore të Doganave.

Sipas vlerësimit të Doganës së Kosovës, pjesëmarrja e Llugaliut në këtë forum të lartë ndërkombëtar përbën kontribut për forcimin e rolit të Kosovës në proceset globale të hartimit të politikave doganore, përafrimin me standardet ndërkombëtare dhe thellimin e bashkëpunimit me administratat doganore të vendeve partnere.

Në njoftim theksohet gjithashtu se Dogana e Kosovës mbetet e angazhuar për avancimin e reformave, modernizimin e shërbimeve doganore, lehtësimin e tregtisë së ligjshme dhe forcimin e sigurisë së zinxhirit ndërkombëtar të furnizimit, në përputhje me standardet dhe praktikat më të mira të Organizatës Botërore të Doganave.
